We are talking about a unique lavachurl with a stone shell, which can be found in the Chenyu Valley. In this guide, we will tell you where to find this enemy and how to challenge him to a duel three times.
How to unlock the achievement “Do you want to learn? I will teach you!”
Before you begin searching for this enemy, you will need to complete the world quest called “Hidden Valley, Secret Hero,” during which you will explore the Wangshan Hall and complete a combat test.
Where is the special unofficial student of the Guhua School
After dealing with the above requirement, move to the southern teleportation point on Lingmeng Mountain. Immediately turn around and you will see a mini-boss in the arena below, which will be called Prisoner in Stone.
It differs from the regular version of Lavachurl with a stone shell only in its slightly increased health bar. Let us remind you that this enemy has 50% resistance to physical attacks and 70% resistance to Geo damage. At the same time, his Geo shield is removed most quickly by the Geo element and blows with a two-handed sword.
So your best squad option would be a team consisting of Electro, Hydro, Cryo and/or Pyro damage dealers and some Geo support or sub-DD who can deal Geo damage from the pocket, such as Zhong Li.
Add that the shield is also quickly destroyed by attacks in the fall, so you can either collect a pack with Xiao, or take Xian Yun into the group, who can give the ability to hit any damage dealer while falling.
How to defeat a student of the Guhua School
The first version will have a prefix to the name “Uninitiated Novice” and will turn out to be a relatively weak opponent (perhaps even weaker than a regular lavachurl). If you have a good shieldman, you can not even dodge the enemy’s attacks, but simply hit him, quickly reducing his health bar.
After dealing with the enemy for the first time, move to some other location and return back to the arena after 2 -5 minutes. Here you will find Lavachurl again. This time his name suffix will read: “Somewhat successful student.” He will be stronger than the previous enemy (approximately at the level of a regular lavachurl).
Now you will need to carefully monitor his attacks, trying not to get hit by them or always keeping your shield ready and treatment. The geo-barrier can be quickly removed by hitting with a claymore or falling attacks.
Having dealt with the enemy for the second time, move again to another region and return in a couple of minutes (if this does not work, then try logging out of your account, wait 10 minutes and re-login). A lavachurl will be waiting for you in the arena again, but now with the note “Achieved Disciple” and with a glowing aura.
The mini-boss will receive more health and a stronger shield. Plus, he will have new area attacks. They will be marked with red rectangles on the ground. A couple of seconds after they appear, stone waves will appear on the ground, causing a lot of damage. They are repeated twice. When you see them, try to get out of the impact zone with a dash.
If waves appear near the boss, then you will need to run away from him, wait until the ground calms down, and then attack again (or put a shield on yourself). If your hits cause the enemy to bounce back a little, be careful, as you may accidentally lead the enemy out of the arena, and then you will have to fight him from the very beginning.
Before the battle, we also advise you to use dishes that increase attack power, critical damage and critical hit chance, as well as use potions that increase the elemental damage you need and protecting against Geo damage. As soon as you defeat the lavachurl for the third time, you will unlock the achievement “Do you want to learn? I’ll teach you,” for which they give 5 primogems.
