Quest “Anamnesis” in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2is a story quest in the Mysteria Ecclesiae expansion. There is an epidemic in the Sedlec Monastery and we must identify the connection between patients who suffer from the same illness. Further in the guide, a detailed walkthrough of the mission is presented: you will learn how to search the rooms of Stefan, Blazhena, Yaroslav and Arnshot, as well as examine the monastery cellar and get Blazhena’s key.
Walkthrough the quest “Anamnesis” in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Tour of the monastery
When we meet the local abbot as part of the previous quest “Royal healer” and learn about what is happening in this monastery, we get a list of tasks. The abbot will be tense and hope that this is not a plague.

We advise him not to be rude, and if the opportunity to apologize appears in the dialogue, then we apologize.
After the cutscene, first of all talk to Albicus.
After getting to know the local doctor better, you need to explore the monastery. To do this, we approach Petromil. He sits in the same yard – right in the center on a bench under a tree.

It is not necessary to go on an excursion, but in order to better understand the history and immerse yourself in the atmosphere that reigns here, it is recommended not to refuse the offer.
Here we can use a button to automatically follow. At the same time, while exploring the surrounding area, we can ask Petromil various questions in order to learn better about the Sedlec Monastery.

Having reached the infirmary, the excursion will end.
Talk with Stefan
In the infirmary we will find confessor Stefan. Albicus will sit next to him. We talk with the doctor. In the dialogue, select – “Examine the patient”, but only if you have the learning skill.

If successful, Henry will find out that old people are more susceptible to illness.
A cutscene will begin. In a conversation, under no circumstances should we choose the option – “Will someone introduce me?”. This will have a negative impact on your reputation; it is better not to interfere.
Next, when they ask us who we are, we answer – “I am Albicus’s assistant.”

Next a selection will appear. Here we advise you to simply remain silent. If you decide to answer “Is this the right food?”, the check will fail. Henry will offer to feed the sick with lard…

Afterwards, we simply ask different questions about the current situation in order to collect more information and determine further actions.

When the cutscene ends, turn to the lying Stefan.

Hindro will ask him who he saw and where. He will ask why we need this information.
We answer – “Albicus sent me.” If the “Learning” characteristic is pumped up, then we use the answer option – “We are looking for the source of this illness.”

Hindro will explain that the disease is easily transmitted by airborne droplets and is very contagious (it’s surprising how the others in the monastery did not fall ill).
Next, it is better to choose the second version of the replica – it is easier and provides a greater chance of success. The confessor is worried that this information will reveal the confessions of the people who contacted him. In this case, we simply reassure him – “You won’t have to break the secret of confession.”

Search Stefan's room
Afterwards we can head to the confessor's room.
We use the recently received key. Inspect the room – flowers on the left on the shelf and on the windowsill, chest. We advise you not to steal and leave valuables in the chest. After the search, it will become clear that the confessor is very fond of flowers and has quite a bit of wealth (where does the priest get so much money?).

Collect flowers in the yard – ordinary dandelions will do.

And back to Stefan. Let's give the collected bouquet and we can ask where he got such wealth from. To which the clergyman will answer that everything was earned honestly. If you try to ask more leading questions, you still won’t get an answer. Stefan will not give any more information, even if you threaten the abbot.
Talk to housekeeper Zdenek

Now we go outside – to the northern part of the monastery, where we will meet the housekeeper. Talk to Zdenek, asking him in detail about Blessed One.
- “What can you tell me about Blessed One?” She lies in a hospital in a terrible condition.
- “What does Blessed do?”
- “Does she go to a monastery?” Zdenek will say that Blazhena is engaged in theft – she steals food from their common warehouse. He wanted to throw her out, but she became very ill.
- “Where does she sleep?” Let's find out where Blessed's room is – a task will appear to search her cell.
- “Where can I find Valeria?”
Search Blessed’s room

It remains to look into Blessed's room. The room is very close – pay attention to the green marker “I”. It is located on the second floor.
Examine the room – look in the chest by the bed (Blazhena has a lot of money – strange for a simple maid).

From the table take the key (opens the storage room).

Talk with Valeria
After the search, we go look for Valeria. The girl will sweep the yard.

Next, we build the dialogue as follows:
Please tell us about Blessed.
Valeria will be tense, if the characteristic is pumped in, then we ask what worries her. The girl will say what worries her. She will blame Zdenek, and will be afraid that he will overhear our dialogue.

Next we promise her protection.

Now Valeria will calm down a little and you can talk with her about pressing problems. We tell her that Zdenek accuses Blazhena of theft – “He called her a thief.”

The girl will immediately accuse Zdenek of lying. He is trying to slander the maid Blessed. We ask – “How do you know that Zdenek is lying?”.

Valeria claims that she saw Zdenek rummaging through Blessed’s things. Most likely, he is trying to set her up and wants to get rid of her. Select – “What did he take from the chest?”.

Let’s find out more about the cellar. Food supplies are stored in it, and the housekeeper immediately after Blessed’s room went to the basement. Valeria will tell you where it is, and we just took the key to the cellar from the table in Blazhena’s room.

“Where does Zdenek sleep?”. He sleeps in the kitchen in the same house where the maids live.

Next, we return to the dialogue about Blazhen and clarify Valeria’s assumptions – why Zdenek is lying.

After we ask – “Why did he have to get rid of her?”. Valeria doesn’t know, but she will tell you how the housekeeper did not let the poor maid down and is now only happy that she is seriously ill.

Now let’s clarify – “Did Blessed have a gentleman?”. The maid will tell you that she saw her flirting with one monk, who is strictly forbidden to communicate with women.
And most importantly – “Where did the Blessed One go?” This is important to find out who else could have contracted this terrible disease.
At the end Valeria will ask about the condition of her friend, we answer – “She will be fine.”

Search the cellar
Afterwards we can inspect the cellar. The entrance is behind Zdenek – right in the arch. Once there, on the left in the roomexamine the barrels of wine.

Then look into the next room, where you need toinspect the troughs with water.

The last room on the right will be closed. Use the master key. Inside we will findspilled wine, inspect the tub. The alcohol will be greatly diluted with water. In the same roomexamine the barrels on the right.

Hindro will find out that Zdenek is doing this, because only he has the key to the storage room.
Talk to Zdenek (2)
When we leave the basement and go outside, we need to talk with Zdenek again. We will have two options to get his key.
The first way is peaceful
During the conversation we use the following lines:
- “I know that you dilute the wine with water.”

Zdenek will begin to worry and offer to move away from here so that no one hears his excuse. If the skill is loaded, then we answer – “I’m not going anywhere.” If not, then read the next section below – the second option is to get the key.
Then we try to find out – “Why did you lie to Blazhena?.”
The housekeeper will begin to deny it and clarify what Blazhena told us. We answer – “Nothing”.
It turns out she caught Zdenek diluting the wine. This is precisely the reason why the housekeeper is trying with all his might to drive the girl away from the monastery. Henry will ask what Zdenek was doing in her room and why he was rummaging through personal things. The housekeeper found in her chest the key to the monastery cellar (where women are strictly prohibited from entering).
We ask him to give this key – “I only need the key.”
We follow the housekeeper. As a result, he will give the key and ask not to hand it over to the abbot, in return promising to get us any supplies – “Even master keys, even the devil.”
We answer – “I won’t hand you over.”.

The second is aggressive
The second option to get the key to the storage room looks like this.
If at the beginning of the dialogue instead of “I’m not going anywhere”(suddenly you don’t have enough stat points), you agree to move away with Zdenek, then an interesting dialogue will develop that will develop into a fight.
First we answer – “What if I don’t remain silent?.”

“You can’t intimidate me with a stick“- this option is relevant only for those players who have upgraded the intimidation characteristic. If this indicator is low, then we answer “Good” and enter into battle with Zdenek.

Unfortunately, our opponent will be armed, unlike us. You will have to fight only with your fists. When you win, we talk to him again:
- We ask him to give us the ax.
- Ask why he lied about Blazhena.
- Then – “Don’t insult her!.”
- “I will not give you up.”
As a result of the dialogue and a rather difficult fight, we will get the key of Blazhena.
Talk to Crispin
We head out to look for the next character. We need Crispin the librarian. He will sit in his library, which is located in the southern part of the monastery.

In the dialogue, choose the following answers:
- We ask about brother Yaroslav.
- “Where does Yaroslav sleep?”
- “What was he doing here?”
- “What is the Decameron about?”
- “Where did he work?”
The librarian will tell you thatYaroslav spent a lot of time with Cyristin(brother). He helped him rewrite books. I need to talk to him.
At the entrance to the library there is the book of the Decameron. Read it – this is Yaroslav's work.

Search Yaroslav's room
After finishing talking with the local librarian, we go to the next green marker, which is located right in the library. Go up to the second floor – there are chambers there. Using the green marker, we find Yaroslav's room.

On the left we will find a chest. Use a master key.

It will contain an antique cellar plan.

Talk to Celestine
Find the monk. Other monks, including Celestine, will pray in the large hall.

First of all, we ask him about Yaroslav.

Let's clarify – “How does he spend his time?”.
“Everything is fine with him.” In general, it doesn't matter what you answer here. You can simply reassure him by saying that Yaroslav will get better.
“How does he spend his time?” The answer will be obvious – the priest’s usual schedule. Celestine will also mention the book Decameron, which Yaroslav writes. We saw it in the library and it was practically empty. Therefore, we answer –“He hasn’t translated almost anything lately…”

Celestine will refute this information and say that the book has already been written. Henry will answer that you need to visit the librarian again and clarify this. The monk will ask you not to tell anyone about the Decameron. We answer – “I promise.”

After listening to the short story, we ask the question – “Where did he go?”

Next we can ask about the confessor – you never know Yaroslav poured out his soul to Stefan.
“Do you know if he went to the confessor?” Unfortunately, no.
Then we ask the remaining questions:
- “Where exactly did you lose him?”
- “Did he date a sick girl?” Question about the maidservant Blessed.
- “Enough for now.” We complete the dialogue.
Search the monastery cellar
Having found out all the necessary information, we go explore the monastery cellarin which Yaroslav met with the Blessed. We go to the green mark. We find a staircase leading down. There's really nothing interesting in the cellar. All you need to do is findthe spilled wine.

Here we jump over the wooden beam and go forward.
So let's go to the secret room and a new task will appear – to study the secret room. Behind the door we will find the monk Wojciech, who will be clearly surprised by the uninvited guest.

At the beginning of the dialogue, we say that we do not condemn anyone and the only thing that interests us is to find out the original source of the disease and find healing.
Wojciech will say that they are writing a book. We ask –“Which book are you talking about?” The monk claims that the book of the Decameron is already finished.

Next, ask why no one knows about the Decameron, and then find out what it is about and for what reasons the abbot or other priests should not know about it.

Wojciech will be happy to answer all questions, so feel free to ask – “What did Yaroslav want to write about?”

And after – “Why about this?”
Next, express your opinion regarding the book – “I like it.” Then – “That's right”. We advise you not to choose the first option about blasphemy – this will negatively affect your reputation.

Now we ask about Brother Arnshotand all other available questions – this will not affect the plot or the player’s reputation in any way.

Having finished the dialogue about the book, we can ask the monk to share jokes from the works of Yaroslav. The monks' humor is so-so.
By asking Wojciech, we will get a more complete picture of what is happening.

At the end, check where Arnshot's room is.
Monk Wojciech told the main secret – about the creation of the book Decameron, which the abbot clearly did not like. Because of this, he will begin to worry and ask you to keep the secret. We suggest not to spoil your relationship with him and answer – “I won’t tell anyone.”

In this room, the maximum that can be examined is thecompleted book of the Decameronfilled with various “humorous” stories.

Search Arnshot's room
Then we leave the basement andhead to Arnshot's cell.
We will find a corpse inside. The disease killed him.

We search the room. We look into the chest on the left by the wall, inside we will find notes – take them.

Also don't forget to inspect the table. There are construction drawings there.

You can take a strong drug from the shelf – this is not considered theft. Now all that remains is to return to Albicusand report everything we found out.
Talk with Albicus
We will also find Albicus in the infirmary, he will take care of the sick. In a conversation with the doctor, choose the following answer options:
- “Arnshot is dead.”

Albicus will tell you that this is not the only corpse. Confessor Stefan died.
We answer this – “Don’t blame yourself.”
When Albicus asks what we were able to find out, we answer – “I discovered a secret scriptorium”. — we talk about how Blazhena, Yaroslav and Arnshot, in secret from the abbot, set up a secret workshop in the cellar.

For obvious reasons, the doctor will be surprised and ask what they were doing there. In this case, we answer – “I’ll tell you the most important thing.”

Hindro will tell you about the main points that he managed to find out.
Then we report that Stefan had jewelry.
Having finished the dialogue, we will go straight to the abbot. Albicus will tell you about dead monks and other seriously ill people. During the cutscene we will have the opportunity to tell you about the secret scriptorium.

If the persuasion skill has been upgraded (minimum 20 points), then be sure to select “Silence.”

If the points are not enough, then you will have to talk about the scriptorium. In this case, your reputation will suffer, but it will not affect the plot.
Next ask – “What work did Arnshott do?”. There is no need to talk about the drawings found.
Albicus will blame the open crypt for the epidemic. Henry, like a true daredevil, simply must choose the answer option – “I must inspect the crypt.”

The Abbot will decide declare a quarantine in the monastery – lock all the monks, do not let anyone in or out. All this is necessary to contain the infection within these walls and stop its spread.
After the cutscene, the quest “Anamnesis” of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Mysteria Ecclesiae will be completed and the next one will begin – “Prevention”.
