As you progress through Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the player will have to make many important choices, the outcome of which can affect the entire game, as well as its ending. One of the most important decisions will be whether to save Minratous or Treviso, when news comes of the simultaneous attack of dragons on these cities.
In our guide, we will tell you whether you should help Minrathous or choose Treviso, as well as what consequences await you after this or that choice.
Minrathous or Treviso: where to go
You will be able to make an important decision immediately after completing the quest to recruit Davrin “The Guardians' Best Friend”. As soon as you and Davrin dock at Lighthouse Island, you will be met by companions who will tell you that two cities have been attacked by corrupted dragons at once.
Go to Treviso
Lucanis will claim that without your help in Treviso many people will die, since the city has no defense.
To travel to Treviso, select the appropriate option, after which the quest “On the Wings of Death”” will start. Then, you and your chosen companions will head to the Treviso canals to fight the corrupted dragon Corius the Student. Once the enemy's HP is reduced to half, Ghilan'nain will order the dragon to retreat and the battle will end.
After this, you and your companions will head straight to Minrathous. However, when you get to Port City, you will find it defiled and half-ruined. The Shadow Dragon Serpent will also be on the verge of death, corrupted. Nev will be shocked by what happened and ask you to leave Minrathous. She will decide to help the Shadow Dragons and stay in the city for a while.
Go to Minrathous
Before making an important choice, Nev, in turn, will tell you that if Minrathous is not protected, the Venatori will seize power, taking advantage of the difficult situation.
To prevent the Venatori takeover and the destruction of Port City, choose the “We will help Minrathous” option and travel there to fight the dragon Heatmaw Vyranthus. As with Trevizo, after the dragon's health bar is reduced to half, Ghilan'nain will recall him.
After this, you will travel to Treviso, where Lucanis will report that a dragon has flooded all the city's canals with filth. Lucanis will be shocked by this and will remain in Treviso for a time to help the Crows and the civilians.
Consequences of Choice
Relationships
Either of your choices will definitely affect the relationship with the companions: Nev or Lukanis. The character whose city you left in danger will be bittered and temporarily unavailable.
If you help Minrathous, Lucanis will be unavailable for romance (some say that you can romance him, but the relationship will progress noticeably slower; unverified), however, by choosing Treviso, the relationship with Nev can still be saved.
Factions
Also, with the choice, you will lose some points of the faction that was hit, and their merchant will now be unavailable (Lorelei from Port City or Fletcher from Treviso).
If you help Minrathous, you only lose 100 pointsAntivan Ravens. But if you choose Treviso, you will lose already 250 points to the Shadow Dragons. The faction's strength will also affect the ending of the game.
Quests
Try to do as many side quests as possible before making this choice. If a city is destroyed by a dragon and taken over by the blight, you will lose most of the side quests in it.

- The romance with Nev will be paused and it will be difficult to regain her favor
- You will lose 250 Shadow Dragon Faction points
- Lorelei the Pawnbroker in Port City will be unavailable
- Minrathous will be destroyed
Once again, to get the best ending, your Shadow Dragon Faction power must reach 2 stars. Even if you choose Treviso, you will still be able to raise this parameter to the desired value, but it will be noticeably more difficult to do so. Therefore, if you are guided only by a practical approach when choosing, then we advise you to save Minrathous, especially if you plan to build a romance with Nev.
