InThe Forge (Forging)Races determine the player's innate traits, stat bonuses, and special abilities. Each class has its own advantages and disadvantages, but even among them there are better options. In this guide, we will tell you how you can change your race, indicate all their features and show the tier list of the most powerful classes in the game.
How to change your race in The Forge
Currently, there are 13 different races in the game, which are divided into 6 different groups by rarity level:
- Common
- Uncommon (Uncommon)
- Rare
- Epic
- Legendary
- Mythical
As a rule, races of higher rarity not only have more unique appearance (additional accessories, exotic clothing, etc.), but also offer noticeably more bonuses and advantages. However, the probability of them falling out is much lower. It is for this reason that many players are interested in how to reroll the game to get a different class.

Change races in the Wizard's Tower
After starting the game, you will automatically receive the standard Human race, which gives very few advantages, but already in the initial quest you will be sent to Sensei Moro and the first time you talk to him, a race reroll menu will appear. True, you will only be given 3 attempts to knock out a class, and with a high probability you will get a not very rare character.

When you talk to this NPC again, the reroll menu will no longer appear. If you want to gain access to it again, then go to the Wizard's Tower, which can be found not far from the first city. Move towards The Cave, passing by Tomo, and then turn left, and soon you will see the desired building (the GIF below shows the entire route).
Inside the building, find the old man and talk to him, and then select the phrase “I want to change my race!” to go to the race reroll menu, which will be no different from the window shown to you at the beginning of the game.
Changing the race in a special menu
However, if you do not care about authenticity and immersion in the atmosphere, then you can simply use the in-game menu. To do this, press the “T” key (on a PC), and then click on the yellow button that says “Shop” on the right side. Then scroll the tiles to the right until you find the “Rerolls” tab. Here click on the “Go to Race Menu” button.

Note:Is it possible to have multiple characters in the game? In short, yes, because you will probably notice three empty slots on the left side of the reroll screen, which can just be filled with additional heroes. However, to unlock the second cell you must first reach level 30, and the third – 100, or you can simply buy them for robux.
So, you will see a reroll menu in which you will see your avatar, the selected race and characteristics. The re-roll button is located directly under your current hero. If there are additional rerolls, you can immediately try your luck and try to get a different class. The probability of a loss, by the way, is shown in the window on the right.

On the left side The screen shows the characteristics of the race, or rather its perks. The usefulness of the class and your future play style depend on them, so you need to pay special attention to them. Below, by the way, we indicated all the features of the races and gave advice on choosing them.
How to get rerolls in The Forge
Three free rerolls, which are given at the beginning of the game, will clearly not be enough to get the desired race. Fortunately, there are several ways to get additional twists, namely:
- Rerolls are awarded for successfully completing some main and side quests. For example, you are guaranteed to receive them for the quest chain of Captain Rowan, whom you will meet in the second world.
- Rerolls are issued when you log into the game daily.
- Rerolls are issued for using promotional codes.
- Rerolls are purchased for robux.

So Thus, you don’t necessarily have to spend your money to get additional rerolls, since there are plenty of in-game methods for getting them.

S-Rank Races
Unsurprisingly, we consider the highest rarity races to be the best options in The Forge. We have classified the Angel and Demon classes as S-Rank because their skills offer many bonuses that affect the overall gameplay. Passive skills are well balanced and work with any of your equipment.
Demon
We believe that the Demon class is generally the strongest in the game (in terms of combat power), since its passive skills are completely focused on damage. For example, Demonic Powers gives you a bonus to movement speed, but mainly focuses on increasing physical damage, fire damage, and attack speed – all by 20%.

This works in tandem with Cursed Aura, which activates in combat to create an area around you that deals damage equivalent to 10% of your weapon damage every second. Devil's Finger can also create a circle of hellfire around you when dashing. This effect only has a 20% chance of occurring, but if it does trigger, it will deal 45% of your weapon's damage over a few seconds.
There is also a passive talent, Backfire, which has a 25% chance of setting enemies you hit on fire. As a result, you will deal additional damage to them.
Angel
Angel gives the largest increase in Luck at +25%, which is crucial when mining ore and creating equipment, allowing you to easily craft stronger weapons and armor.

Wings significantly increase the Angel's movement speed, endurance, dash range, reload time and jumping. All of these movement buffs make Angel a highly mobile character, allowing him to easily dodge enemy attacks and take significant damage when necessary.
The Angel certainly doesn't have as many attack bonuses as the Demon. But this is where “Smite” comes to the rescue, which deals 30% additional physical damage on each hit with a probability of 50%.
Thus, if you need a more versatile character, that is, capable of not only performing well in battle, but also being useful in extracting resources or forging objects, then it is better to try to knock out the Angel. If you need a powerful attacking hero, then your choice should fall on the Demon.
A-rank races
This includes two races of legendary rarity and one of epic rarity. We put them below S rank because they have fewer passive perks and bonuses compared to Angel and Demon, but their buffs are still quite strong, so if you manage to get them, you can consider yourself lucky.
Golem

Before us is a typical tank with strong protection and slightly lower speed. Plus, he is recommended to only use heavy weapons, as he has a bonus to attack speed when using them. Equip him with your strongest, heaviest armor and you can tank almost any enemy.
Dragonborn

It can be considered a weakened version of the Demon, since it has fewer damage bonuses, but is also capable of setting enemies on fire and has increased health. In general, the Dragonborn can make an extremely powerful warrior, especially if he is equipped with high-quality weapons and armor.
Dwarf
Let us immediately note that in terms of combat, the Dwarf is practically a complete zero, since it does not have any damage buffs and also moves a little slower than many other classes. But at the same time, he has incredible bonuses to mining and crafting, which makes him practically the most useful character when it comes to mining ore, which is what you will be doing for most of the game.

For this reason, we definitely recommend that you try to knock out the Dwarf and keep him on your account, so that if necessary, you can always take him and quickly get the necessary materials or craft valuable equipment.
B-rank races
Minotaur

The Minotaur can be considered a classic berserker that can go into rage mode when its health drops below 50%. In it, he begins to move faster, which eliminates one of his shortcomings, and causes more damage. However, you need to monitor his HP bar so that it does not drop too low. Overall, it seems to us that the Dragonborn or Golem will still be better as a fighter.
Shadow

Shadow can be called an assassin who moves quickly, dodges attacks, deals a little more damage and strikes faster than other classes. The tactics of fighting him are quite simple – we run up to the enemy, quickly inflict several blows on him, and then retreat and repeat this ad infinitum. You should not stay close to a strong enemy for a long time, because the Shadow has little health, and its dodges work quite rarely.
C-rank races
Orc

The Orc is a cheaper version of the Minotaur, as it also has bonuses to health and damage, but much less. But he does not need to keep his HP below 50% to activate bonuses. Unfortunately, he also has debuffs to stamina and speed, making him quite slow. In general, an Orc will make a good warrior, at least in the first half of the game.
Elf

We decided to rank him higher due to his luck, which will be very useful in the early stages of the game, allowing you to find rarer ores more often and forge stronger weapons. Endurance will help a little in battles. However, in the future, we still recommend changing the elf to a gnome (if you need a utilitarian race).
Goblin
Goblin is a cheaper version of the Shadow. He also moves quickly and has increased attack speed (only when using daggers), but has a significant health debuff, making him even more vulnerable to enemy attacks. The tactics of fighting for him are the same – we run up to the enemy, quickly inflict several blows on him, and then retreat.

Note: Note that you can keep a goblin on your account for a good discount in stores, that is, if you need to buy some expensive item, then select it and purchase the desired item, and then switch back to the main class.
D-Rank Races
Zombies

Zombie is an extremely controversial character. On the one hand, he receives a huge debuff to health (-25%), but on the other hand, he can heal himself passively and when receiving damage. In general, all these passives practically nullify themselves, leaving Zombies without any bonuses at all.
Undead

Undead is a little better than Zombie, but in practice it has the same drawback, that is, it also has a health debuff, which it tries to compensate for by being able to reflect damage and restore HP. As a result, the class is left without any useful bonuses.
Human

Starting race, which, lo and behold, is useful only at the start. Thanks to her perk, you will be able to gain experience faster and mine rare ore and craft useful things a little more often. However, we recommend that you upgrade to a more advanced class as quickly as possible.
