In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 the Royal Physician is a side quest and part of the Mysteria Ecclesiae expansion chain. During it, you will have to help Peter Pisetsky find Albicus from Unichov, and then discuss with him the tense situation in the monastery and go there. How to start a task
You will need to talk with Pyotr Pisetsky during the story mission “Pen and Sword”, when on the second day you go to Sukhdol. A purple icon should appear on the map, indicating that the add-on can start. Enter the castle by going up the stairs and into the banquet hall. Here at the table you will find the character you need. We advise you to save before talking with him, so that you can then completely replay the DLC plot at any time.
If you have already progressed further in the story or completed the game altogether, then you can find Peter in the city of Kutna Hora. Go to the southwestern part of the settlement, and then enter the marked courtyard, enter the building, go up to the second floor, and you will find the required character at the table. Sometimes he can be found outside the house. Talk to him.
During the conversation, select the following answers to improve reputation:
- I'd be happy to help.
- I think I know who it is (requires 20+ Scholarship to get reputation).
- Okay.
After this, you will receive a letter of recommendation from Mr. Pisetsky, which you will have to hand over Albicus, and the first mission of the expansion will appear in your journal.
Talk to Albicus from Unicov
Head to the pharmacy, which is located in the city of Kutna Hora and is marked on the map with a small highlighted area. First, go into the courtyard, and then enter the building itself and chat with the pharmacist Oswald Thorwarth, who is standing behind the counter (sometimes he sits upstairs at the dining table or in the kitchen).
From him you will learn that Albicus went to treat the maid of the neighbors living two houses east of the pharmacy. Open the map to see the updated marker. Having walked to the desired building, you will see Matus Baran from Ceile and his bodyguard next to the entrance, knocking on the door. Approach them and the “Explore” prompt will appear in the lower right corner – press the corresponding key, which will lead to the next update of the pointer.
You need to go to the southern entrance to the building. To do this, go around the street and into the courtyard, and then enter the house through the door located here. Please note that next you will find two intense dialogues where a skill check is required – for success, we advise you to wear an outfit with high Charisma (20+ units) in advance.
So, go up the stairs to the top floor and enter the room directly opposite. Here on the left you will find Albicus healing a maid. Enter into dialogue with him, and then choose the following answers to increase your reputation:
- (Silence).
- (Silence).
- Here is Mr. Pisek's letter.
- They say you want to see the king…
You will then be interrupted by the two men you previously saw near the entrance. They will begin to threaten Albicus, so you will have to intervene. There will be several options for solving the problem, namely:
- A fight will not solve the matter – you need to pass a difficult Charisma test (20+ units will be enough). The insolent people will leave peacefully, and you will increase your reputation.
- If you want to fight, you need to pass a difficult Suggestion check (18+ units will be enough). The insolent people will leave, but the doctor will not like your methods (your reputation will decrease).
- Albicus heals the king! – requires passing an average Scholarship test (24+ units will be enough). The insolent people will leave peacefully, and you will increase your reputation.
- Enough! (fight) – a fight will begin in which you will need to defeat the insolent people. Albicus will not like your methods (most likely, your reputation will decrease).
Discuss with Albikus leaving for monastery
Having solved the problem with the Ram in one way or another, Albicus will invite you to go with him to the monastery. You can agree immediately or ask him to wait, saying that you need more time to prepare. Later, you can find him in the pharmacy where you were earlier – he will be sitting on a bench near the main entrance.
Note that going to the monastery is a point of no return, that is, you will not be able to leave it until you have completely completed the expansion storyline. The warning window will warn you not to take stolen items, but in reality you can easily take them, since the guards will not search you. We recommend that you take the following items with you:
- At least 10 schnapps to create saves before starting each mission. Of course, the more bottles you take, the better.
- At least 20 master keys for breaking doors and chests. However, in our walkthroughs we will try to indicate the location of the keys for all locked locks.
- Try to improve your Lockpicking skill, as you will often have to deal with locked locks.
- Nice outfit for high Charisma (requires 25+ points to pass the relevant skill check).
- Dark, silent outfit for going through stealth stages.
- Bandages and healing concoctions to quickly patch yourself up when necessary.
- Torch.
Having agreed to go to the monastery, you can ask more a few questions and then finally go to a new location. Watch the cutscene, and then enter into dialogue with Abbot Jan III. Select the following answers to increase your reputation:
- Is this like a plague?
- We apologize.
- Who is sick here?
- How could they all get infected? – requires passing a difficult test for Scholarship (20+ units).
- So what now, Albicus?
- Okay.
This concludes the task. Unfortunately, there is no reward for it. You also start the next quest in the chain called “Anamnesis.”
