In Honkai: Star Rail, Stranger in a Strange Land is an Exploration mission and part of the “Farewell Penaconia” questline. You have to say goodbye to old friends, and then decide how to respond to March 7 and Acheron. Your words will determine whether you can complete the dialogue with the emanator of Nothingness to the end and find out her past. Completing the mission “Stranger in a Strange Land” in Honkai: Star Rail
How to start the task
This quest starts automatically after completing the last mission of the chain called “A Thousand Bells Ringing at Dawn.” After watching the cutscene with Firefly and the bomb, you will again take control of the Pathfinder. You, along with other members of the Star Crew, will talk with Acheron.

When talking to her, you can choose who to say goodbye to. This will not affect the ending or rewards (you will say goodbye to everyone anyway), but if you say “with you”, Acheron will be happy about this and smile at you.
Say goodbye to Tiernan, Razalina, Micah , Gallagher and Mikhail
Approach the monument ahead to say goodbye to Tiernan and Razalina. We will raise our glasses with the drink that we prepared earlier in the task “The River Doesn’t Flow Backwards.”
After that, go to the hound figurine standing on the fence and interact with it. This will say goodbye to Gallagher. Our team will once again wonder who this “old dog” really was.
Now move to the Moonlight Child anchor, located in the north of the location. Here you will find the keeper of the cemetery – Micah. Approach him and talk to him. Then raise your glasses.
Next, go up the steps a little higher and approach the wheelchair. Say goodbye to Mikhail.
What to Say to March 7
Raising our glasses and saying goodbye to Mikhail, we will hear a profound thought from March 7. We can respond to her words as follows:
- Time takes everything away, so appreciate the present – March 7 will say that she is worried about the present.
- One day, our stories will also become part of the past – this is what worries the girl.
- You are so sentimental today – our friend will be angry with our words, because we did not take her seriously.
After this, March 7 will give an example of a book: you read an interesting story, which then ends with a sad ending. This makes her sad. We can answer the girl the following:
- Such an ending can be understood… – the characters have become special to us, since we followed their entire lives, so such an ending still makes her sad.
- Be that as it may… – March 7 will answer the same.
- No – it’s just… – the girl will be angry with our answer, since for her the characters in the book have become special.
Unfortunately, we will never be able to find an answer to the worries of March 7. At the end, Himeko will say that as long as we remember the past Nameless Ones, their story will never end.
How to properly say goodbye to Acheron and continue the conversation with her
Farewell to Acheron is an optional option, so if you skip this step, the quest ending and your reward will not change. However, if you do talk to the girl, you can find out more information about her. You just need to choose the correct answer options.
So, go to Acheron, who will be standing not far from the Interval Area anchor, and ask her questions in the following order (in no case choose the answer “I have to go”):
- Who are you Is this really the case?
- Will we meet again?
- Where have we met before?
After you ask all three questions to Acheron, she will say that we have never met before. You can answer her the following:
- It seems to me that it was not deceptive – in this case, the conversation with Acheron will continue. We recommend choosing this option.
- Well, since this is our first acquaintance, it means that the next time we meet… – in this case, our conversation with Acheron will end.
If you chose the first option, then Acheron will say that we could not possibly be connected with her past, since only Nothingness remained from it. You can answer as follows:
- Perhaps I, too, have met someone like you – the conversation will continue.
- Even if it doesn’t matter, we live in the present – the conversation will end immediately.
If we continued the conversation, Acheron will say that he is not the person hiding in the halls of our memory. We can answer her:
- But something always remains the same – we continue the conversation.
- It seems that the reason for everything is simply nostalgia – the conversation will end.
She will tell us about the companions she traveled with earlier, and then report that she feels as if they never left her. Acheron will ask us what this feeling of déjà vu means. You can choose any answer option, since this will no longer affect the dialogue with the emanator. Then we'll see a short Easter egg for the developers' previous game, Honkai Impact 3rd.
How to return to the Star Express
If you completed the conversation with Acheron before the very end, you will automatically get on the train. Otherwise, just move to the General Car. Then approach Pom-Pom, who will be sad for the past Nameless Ones.
Next, go to the sleeping car and look several videos. This will bring the task and the entire chain to an end. You will receive the “Muse, Tell Me” achievement, as well as 200 Mastery points, 30 star jades, 3 lost crystals, 100 hour credits, two music records and 40 thousand credits. Plus, new guests will be able to visit the Star Express.
