In Honkai: Star Rail, Aglaja is a 5-star character who has an Electric type of combat and belongs to the path of Memory. In a team, she can play the role of the main damage dealer, attacking opponents together with her summoned creature. In this guide, we will tell you about her best build, light cones and relics. You will also learn about the recommended squads with her.
Aglaya's main features
How to get Aglaya
This heroine can only be obtained during the event Jump. The corresponding banner was last launched during the second phase of patch 3.0 (February 5). If you want to be among the first to know about her next rerun, we advise you to bookmark this article.
Let's add that HoYoverse has only given away a 5-star event character once for winning the “Best Mobile Game of the Year” nomination, and never for completing various events, so it's highly likely that you'll only be able to unlock this Ohema seamstress using Jumps.
Aglaya's Stat Progression
The table below shows how the heroine's basic stats change as she levels up.
Level | Attack Power | Defense | HP | Speed |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 95 | 66 | 169 | 102 |
20 | 185 | 129 | 329 | 102 |
40 | 356 | 248 | 634 | 102 |
60 | 527 | 366 | 938 | 102 |
80 | 699 | 485 | 1242 | 102 |
Note that her critical damage, critical hit chance, and taunt are 50%, 5%, and 100 (125) units respectively at any level, and her energy reserve is 350 units.
Aglaya's Abilities
When using the basic attack “Spiked Nectar”She deals 50~130% of her attack power as electrical damage to the target enemy, while also restoring 20 energy and piercing the target for 10 tenacity.
When using the enhanced basic attack Kiss of a Thousand SlashShe and the Seamstress deal electrical damage to the selected enemy in the amount of 100~260% of her attack power and 100~260% of the Seamstress's attack power. Targets adjacent to the enemy also receive electrical damage in the amount of 40-104% of Aglaya's attack power and 40-104% of the Seamstress's attack power. At the same time, the heroine restores 20 units of energy and penetrates the main target by 20 units of durability, and adjacent ones – 10. This blow does not restore skill points.
Explanation: Standard attacks are nothing special, so they will not be of much use, but the enhanced ones will become the main source of your damage, because at the 6th level of the ability the damage multiplier for the main target will be 400%, and for adjacent ones – 160%. However, you will only gain access to them after activating the ult, which can be difficult to gain energy for.
After using the skill “Rise, Exalted Glory”the heroine restores the Seamstress's health by 25-62.5% of her maximum HP. If the Seamstress is not on the field, she summons this spirit of memory, and it immediately performs the action. In this case, the heroine restores 20 units of energy.
Explanation: Used immediately after the start of the battle to summon a creature. Subsequently, it is used depending on the situation, either to heal a companion or to summon it again. Since the skill restores as much energy as basic attacks, the rest of the time you will use the latter, which will allow you to save skill points for the team.
By activating the super ability “Dance, Destined Weaver”, the heroine summons the Seamstress. If this spirit of memory is already on the field, then its health is fully restored. Aglaya goes into “High Position” mode and immediately performs the action.
While in the “High Position” state, the character gains stacks of the speed increase from the Spirit of Memory talent, with each stack increasing her speed by 10-17.5%. Her basic attack is replaced with a stronger version, and she loses the ability to use a skill. The Seamstress becomes immune to control debuffs.
A countdown with its own speed of 100 is added to the Action Gauge. When it starts, the Seamstress will immediately self-destruct, ending the “High Position” state. Using the Ultimate again will reset the countdown.
Explanation: It is highly advisable to use Aglaya's ultimate as soon as possible to gain access to her enhanced attacks and start dealing massive damage to enemies. However, this will not be easy due to the high cost of the ability (350 units). Even if you divide this figure by two (the Seamstress' actions will also bring energy to Aglaya), it is still quite high (175 units), so you will have to either look for energy restoration in relics or speed up the heroine as much as possible with supports and equipment.
We recommend choosing the second option, because the number of enhanced basic attacks available to her will directly depend on how much speed the heroine has, since the countdown has this parameter equal to 100 units. We will add that you will not need to use the skill right before the ult, since the super ability will automatically summon the Seamstress or increase her HP to the maximum.
If we talk about the heroine's passive talent – “Pink Fingers”then thanks to it, the initial speed of the Seamstress is equal to 35% of Aglaya's base speed, and her health is 44-77% of Aglaya's maximum HP plus 180-990 units. While this spirit of memory is on the field, the heroine's attacks impose the “Sewing Stitch” status on the target. After attacking an enemy with this effect, it deals additional damage in the amount of 12-39% of Aglaya's attack power. This status only affects the last mob hit.
Explanation: Determines the characteristics of the Seamstress, depending on the parameters of Aglaya herself – this is another reason to increase her speed to the maximum. The additional damage is not very high to focus on it.
We can't help but mention the “Meteorite Split” technique., which summons the Seamstress and performs a joint forward attack. After entering battle, restores 30 units of energy and deals electrical damage equal to 100% of the heroine's attack power to all enemies. Then, “Sewing Stitch” is applied to a random enemy.
Memory Spirit Abilities
After using the “Spike Trap” skill, the Seamstress deals electrical damage equal to 55-154% and 33-92.4% of the attack power to the selected enemy and adjacent targets, respectively.
Explanation: A standard attack for the Spirit of Memory, which deals relatively little damage, but restores 10 units of energy, which makes it easier to activate the ult.
The Seamstress also has three passive talents at once, namely:
- Body Boiled with Tears – After attacking an enemy affected by Sewing Stitch, increases the speed of that ally by 40-58 units, stacks up to 6 times. During her turn, the Seamstress automatically uses the skill “Spiked Trap”, giving priority to the target with the Sewing Stitch status. It is extremely important that Aglaya always attacks the enemy with Sewing Stitch in order to receive a speed bonus, move more often and thereby extend the action of the ult.
- Speedy Summer – after the Seamstress is summoned, her action immediately advances by 100%, that is, she immediately takes a turn, attacking the enemy with the skill.
- Flowering of the Drying Grass – when the Seamstress disappears, the heroine restores 20 units of energy. Simplifies the accumulation of energy for activating the ult.
Traces of Aglaya
In addition to the above abilities, the heroine's upgrade tree also includes other enhancements that provide passive bonuses or permanent increases to characteristics. Basically, we are talking about increasing the chance of a critical hit, defense and electrical damage. You can see them all in the picture below.
Below we will briefly consider special traces with their own mechanics:
- Death of the Nearsighted – in the High Position state, the attack power of Aglaya and the Seamstress increases by an amount equal to 720% of Aglaya's speed plus 360% of the Seamstress's speed. A useful trace that motivates you to increase Aglaya's speed to maximum values, and simplifies the gain of attack power.
- The Last Thread of Fate – When the Seamstress disappears, retains up to 1 level of speed increase from the Spirit of Memory talent. After resummoning the Seamstress, gives the corresponding number of speed increase stacks. Even if the creature disappears or dies, Aglaya will still have 1 speed bonus of 40-58 units.
- Sun Acceleration – at the beginning of the battle, if the heroine's energy is below 50%, she immediately restores 50%. Speeds up the activation of the ult at the beginning of the battle.
Aglaya's Eidolons
To unlock them, you need materials of the same name, which are given out when duplicates of the heroine drop, which, of course, is random. And given the rarity of 5-star characters, be prepared to spend a lot of money and time on this. Fortunately, even without eidolons, Aglaya can easily perform the function of the main damage dealer in the team.
The table below shows all the eidolons and their benefits for the character:
Name | Description | Benefit |
---|---|---|
Eidolon 1 | When Aglaya or Seamstress performs an action, the damage they deal allows you to ignore 14% of the target's defense. This effect stacks up to 3 times and lasts until any ally except Aglaya or Seamstress uses an active skill. | You will be able to quickly accumulate the maximum bonus after activating the ult and hold it for quite a long time, since due to high speed, Aglaya will perform moves before supports. Brings high benefit. |
Eidolon 2 | Damage to an enemy hit by Sewing Stitch is increased by 8%. After Aglaya or Seamstress hits this target, the heroine additionally restores 20 units of energy. | Significantly simplifies the accumulation of energy for reactivating the ult and slightly increases damage. Brings great benefit. |
Eidolon 3 | The skill level increases by two, and the basic attack by one. The maximum level of the first increases to 15, and the second to 10. The level of the Spirit of Memory talent increases by one. The maximum level increases to 10. | Provides average benefit. |
Eidolon 4 | Increases the maximum number of speed increase stacks from the Spirit of Memory talent by 1. When Aglaya uses an attack, the Seamstress can also receive a speed increase bonus from her talent. | With this eidolon, the heroine can get 7 levels of the effect instead of 6, plus the bonus will also apply to the spirit itself, which will significantly increase the character's overall damage. Brings high benefit. |
Eidolon 5 | Ultimate and talent level increases by two. Maximum level for both increases to 15. Spirit of Memory skill level increases by one. Maximum level increases to 10. | Provides average benefit. |
Eidolon 6 | Increases the penetration of electric resistance by 20% for Aglaya and Seamstress while the former is in the “High Position” state. When the speed of Aglaya or Seamstress is greater than 160/240/320, the damage of the combined attack increases by 10%/30%/60%. | Allows the heroine to penetrate enemy durability faster and significantly increases the damage of enhanced basic attacks (however, the maximum bonus can only be obtained after about 3 attacks). A good eidolon for E6, but we still think that it is not worth the resources spent on it. |
If you plan to knock out eidolons and you have a limited budget, then you can well stop at E1 and E2, which will increase the heroine's overall damage and significantly simplify the energy gain for the ult. If you have a choice between a signature weapon and the first eidolon, then we advise you to take a weapon, since at the time of patch 3.0, Aglaya simply does not have 5-star alternatives.
How to play as Aglaya
As many expected, the gameplay of the Memory characters will be built around their summoned creatures, and Aglaya, of course, is no exception. However, in this case, this aspect is also supplemented by the need to activate the superpower as quickly as possible, since only under its influence will the heroine be able to perform enhanced basic attacks, which, in fact, are the main source of damage for the character.
The summoned Seamstress will help with this. The thing is that her attacks not only restore 10 units of Aglaya's energy, but she can also significantly increase the heroine's speed if she constantly attacks enemies with the “Sewing Stitch” that she casts. As a result, Aglaya will walk much more often, which will allow her to gain energy for the ult faster.
Note: Using the skill every turn after the first summon of the Seamstress is not recommended, as it brings the same amount of energy as basic attacks and only heals the spirit of memory. Use it only when necessary, such as healing a creature or resummoning it.
After activating the ultimate, Aglaya will enter the “High Position” state, which will allow her to deliver enhanced basic attacks, while her speed will increase even more. She will be able to use these attacks until the turn goes into a countdown at a speed of 100 units. Considering that the heroine's speed can easily exceed 500 units with all the bonuses, in theory you will be able to perform 4-5 enhanced basic attacks before the end of the ult.
At the same time, do not forget that the Seamstress herself will also often make moves, inflicting, albeit small, but some damage. In general, the optimal rotation of Aglaya will look like this:
- Try to use Aglaya's technique before the start of the battle to immediately get additional energy and cast “Sewing Stitch” on one of the enemies. By the way, thanks to the 3rd trace, you will immediately fill the energy scale to 50%.
- When it's Aglaya's turn, immediately use her skill to summon Seamstress, who will immediately attack the enemy. In your next turns, use only basic attacks, hitting the enemy with “Sewing Stitch” to get stacks of the speed bonus from your spirit of memory and move more often.
- Once you have enough energy, immediately use your ult to gain access to enhanced basic attacks – continue hitting the enemy with “Sewing Stitch” to deal maximum damage. Of course, it is best if it is an elite enemy or a boss.
- After the countdown begins and the Seamstress disappears, summon her again with the skill and repeat the above process.
Aglaya's Advantages and Disadvantages
With her unique abilities, Aglaya can effectively destroy both single and multiple targets. Her advantages also include:
- One of the first Memory characters with a new (at the time of patch 3.0) game mechanic associated with summoning a creature to support the character on the battlefield. The Spirit of Memory essentially becomes a full-fledged fifth fighter in the squad.
- She is an excellent hypercarry, capable of inflicting gigantic damage with her enhanced basic attacks, both to the main target and to enemies adjacent to it.
- She is able to significantly increase her speed thanks to the Spirit of Memory, making more frequent turns and accumulating energy faster to use her ultimate.
- Thanks to the trace, she can significantly increase her attack power after activating her ult, which allows her to pay less attention to this characteristic, trying to maximize her speed and crits.
- She can heal her memory spirit with her skill and superpower, constantly supporting it on the battlefield.
- There is no need to use the skill every turn, and when the ult is active, access to the skill is completely disabled. As a result, she helps the team save skill points.
However, there are some downsides, some of which follow directly from its advantages:
- The mechanics with the fifth fighter can put a spoke in the wheels of some characters, for example, Hoho will no longer be able to heal the entire team, since the Seamstress will be considered a separate hero.
- The super ability is very expensive (350 units) and even speed buffs may not help with a quick energy gain. You will have to take supports or equipment that helps with its recovery.
- There are few supports in the game so far (at the time of patch 3.0) whose buffs are aimed specifically at the mechanics of summoning creatures, which is why it will be difficult to assemble an optimal team.
- There are few Memory Light Cones in the game so far (at the time of patch 3.0), so it is highly desirable to knock out Aglaya's signature weapon.
The best build for Aglaya
The best light cones
When choosing a weapon, you should pay attention to those options that increase speed, attack power, critical damage and/or critical hit chance. The table below shows the most interesting options.
Name | Characteristics | Ability |
---|---|---|
Golden Time (5 stars) | HP: 48-1058 Attack Power: 29-635  Defense: 18-397 | Increases the base speed of the owner by 12-20 units. After attacking the owner and his spirit of memory, the former gains 1 level of “Brocade”, each of which increases the critical damage of the owner and the creature summoned by him by 9-15%. The bonus stacks up to 6 times. Upon reaching the maximum number of stacks, each new level of “Brocade” additionally increases the damage of the basic attack by 9-15%. A signature for Aglaya, which gives her the speed she needs, simplifies the balancing of crits and increases the damage of her enhanced basic attacks. Mandatory to knock out due to the lack of any 5-star alternatives (at the time of patch 3.0). |
More Sweat, Less Tears (4 Stars) | HP: 48-1058 Â Attack Power: 24-529 Defense: 9-198 | Increases the wearer's critical hit chance by 12-20%. When the wearer's Memory Spirit is on the battlefield, their damage dealt is increased by 24-40%. Simplifies crit balancing and increases Aglaya's overall damage. At 5th overlay is a good alternative to the previous cone, if you still failed to knock it out. |
Greetings from geniuses (4 stars) | HP: 43-952 Â Attack power: 22-476 Defense: 15-330 | Increases the wearer's attack power by 16-32%. When the owner uses the ult, the damage dealt by the wearer's and the spirit of memory's basic attacks increases by 20-40% for 3 turns. Â Attack power is less useful for Aglaya than crits, but the increase in basic attacks will be very useful. However, the previous cone will still be more useful. |
Image of the Past (3 stars) | HP: 29-635  Attack Power: 19-423  Defense: 12-264 | At the start of the Memory Spirit's turn, the host and the summoned creature each gain 1 level of the “Reverence for Memory” status, each of which increases damage dealt by 8% (can stack up to 4 times). When the Memory Spirit disappears, the status is removed. Can be used as a temporary option that will significantly increase the damage of Aglaya and the Seamstress. |
Best Relics
As for choosing common relics mined in the Caves of Corrosion, the table below shows the best options.
Name | Bonuses | Advantages |
---|---|---|
Hero Praised by Epics | 2 pieces: Increases attack power by 12%. 4 pieces: While the wearer's Memory Spirit is on the battlefield, its speed increases by 6%. When the wearer's Memory Spirit attacks, its critical damage increases by 30% for two turns. | Currently, this is the optimal set for Aglaya, increasing her attack power, speed, and crits, and therefore increasing overall damage. |
Wild Wheat Marksman/Courage of the Wind/Prisoner of the Dark Dungeon Herald wandering in the hacker space/The thorny path of the priest Scholar lost in knowledge | 2 pieces: increases attack power by 12%. 2 pieces: increases speed by 6%. 2 pieces: increases critical hit chance by 8%. | 2-piece sets of different sets can be used as a temporary option until you farm the Epic-Sung Hero. Plus, it will be easier for you to choose the stats for the heroine. |
Now we move on to planar decorations that are obtained in the Virtual Universe. The list below shows the recommended options (the numbers indicate the priority of choice):
Planar Decoration | Bonuses | Reasons for choosing |
---|---|---|
1) Wonderful Banana Paradise | 2 parts: increases the wearer's critical damage by 16%. If the owner's summoned creatures are present on the battlefield, then critical damage is additionally increased by 32%. | An optimal set for Aglaya, which simplifies balancing crits. At the same time, the passive will work almost all the time. |
2) Star Arena | 2 parts: increase crit. chance by 8%. If the owner's crit. chance is not less than 70%, the damage from his basic attack and skill increases by 20%. | A great alternative to the previous set if you need to finish off the critical chance instead of critical damage. The second part of the passive will allow you to deal even more damage with enhanced basic attacks. |
3) Glatiramer Skyfront | 2 parts: increases attack power by 12%. If the owner's speed is higher than or equal to 135/160 units, then the damage dealt by them increases by 12%/18%. | Another good option that will significantly increase Aglaya's overall damage, since you can easily reach the speed specified in the passive. |
As for the characteristics of the relics, you need to choose as follows:
- Body: critical hit chance/critical damage in a ratio of 1 to 2
- Legs: speed
- Planar Sphere: electrical damage bonus
- Connecting Rope: Attack Power% (or Energy Recovery in Case of Its Obvious Lack)
- Additional Stats: Crits > Speed > Attack Power
If we talk about the optimal attributes of the heroine, they look like this:
- Attack Power: 2400+ units
- Critical Hit Chance: 70%+
- Critical Damage: 140%+
- Speed: 160+ units
Best Teams for Aglaya
Aglaya is a hypercarry, that is, there should be no damage dealers in the squad except her, so you should take two good supports to her company. An excellent choice would be Zaryanka, which will allow Aglaya and Shveya to walk more often and provide them with all sorts of buffs (increased damage and critical damage). Plus, Zaryanka herself will be able to receive additional energy from their frequent actions, which will help her in activating the ult.
Pathfinder (Memory) is also a great fit for Aglaya, even though he is a free character. Firstly, he will help her deal true damage (ignores defense and resistances), and secondly, he will move her action forward. You can also take Resurrection instead, which gives buffs not only to an ally, but also to the creature summoned by him. Plus, he can move the action forward and fill the energy that the heroine desperately needs.
However, some other supports will do, although they will bring noticeably less benefit. For example, you can take Asta (increases speed), Tingyun (increases attack power and fills energy), Ruan Mei (increases overall damage and penetration efficiency), Armor (prolongs the action, and also gives a buff to attack power and crit damage) or Hanyu (buffs speed and attack power).
Among the healers, the best choice is, of course, Hoho, as she can fill up with energy and increase attack power. In general, you can take any pumped healer or shielder. However, it is desirable that his abilities extend to the entire team, so that you can heal or shield not only Aglaya, but also the Seamstress. The table below shows the optimal teams.
Main DD | Sub DD | Sub DD/Support | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Aglaja | Asta (Khanya) | Pioneer (Memory) | Lynx (Gallagher, Natasha) |
Aglaya | Sunday (Memory Trailblazer) | Robin | Hoho (Linsha) |
Aglaja | Ruan Mei (Armor, Tingyun) | Asta (Khanya) | Hoho (Aventurine, Fu Xuan, Lingsha) |
Leveling up Aglaya
How to improve abilities (what to level up first)
The pictures below show the materials and their quantities needed to fully level up your basic attack, skill, superpower, and talent.
- The Seed of Thought, the Sprout of Awareness, and the Receptacle of Consciousness are obtained from the Crimson Sepal found in the new location or through Synthesis.
- The Fear-Crushed Flesh, the Courage-Torn Rib Cage, and the Glory-Tested Body are obtained from Amphoreus monsters, quests, and enemies in the Virtual Universe or through Synthesis. They can also be purchased with Everlasting Ash from the Pom-Pom Shop.
- Soul Feathers – obtained from the Echo of War “Battlefield of the Inner Beast” where you need to fight the boss Shadow “Feixiao”.
- Fate's Imprints – obtained in the Virtual Universe, issued by the Battle Pass and purchased for Unquenchable Ash in the Pom-Pom store. Sometimes they are a reward in temporary events.
As for the priority of leveling up abilities, we advise you to first increase talent and basic attacks, since they are the main source of damage for the heroine, and only then take on superpowers and skills (they may lag behind by 1-2 levels).
How to level up a character
At certain levels, you will need to Ascend the heroine by spending a large amount of resources and credits:
- Ascension (Level 30): Credits x4000 and Fear-Crushed Flesh x5
- Ascension (Level 40): Credits x8000 and Fear-Crushed Flesh x10
