Alice in Genshin Impact
Alice (有栖) is a liberated, freedom-loving and powerful guardian of the borders of Teyvat, who once founded the Witches’ Sabbath and hides under the pseudonym “A.” Over the long centuries of existence, due to her belonging to a race of centenarians, the sorceress tried on many roles: from an adventurer to the author of the Guide to Teyvat and co-author of the book series The Little Witch and the Eternal Flame. She also created Dodoko, an explosive doll, which she later taught her “cutest” daughter Klee to make.
Her voice or alternative appearance appears in many quests and events, but the witch’s first personal appearance occurs as part of the story quest “Nocturne of the Far North” (Song of the Hollow Moon. Chapter V).
Alice, possessing impressive magical abilities, conducts her research in the fields of alchemy and astrology, inventing devices for instant communication and developing various puzzles. She prefers not to interfere with natural processes, maintaining harmony in the world that she loves so much. Due to the peculiarities of the witch's behavior, it seems that Alice is aware of her presence inside the game, or is successfully flirting with our imagination in this way.
Age and appearance
Alice has a bright appearance, long blonde hair, amber-red eyes with unusual pupils resembling the identity of a compass (a four-pointed star pointing to the cardinal directions), as well as pointed ears, revealing her unusual racial identity. The color palette of the great witch's image is predominantly in white and red shades with the addition of brown and blue accents, and the outfit itself is richly decorated with gilded elements – a hat and a decorated crest on the head, details on the torso and sleeves.
Alice's origins make it very difficult to determine her age, but it is safe to say that she is much more than five hundred years old. This fact is confirmed, for example, by the fact that when meeting Yae Miko, who was already half a century old at that time, Alice called her “baby.”
Alice's outfit includes a decorative collar over an open neckline, sleeves dropped from the shoulders and flaring out to the wrists, and a corset with longer hem and a significantly shorter front part of the skirt. Almost the entire length of her legs is hidden by white stockings, and on her feet are neat mid-heeled shoes. Among other decor, it is worth noting the unusual design of a wide-brimmed hat, consisting of a metal frame in the shape of a heart and scarlet rubies, on the edge of which the gnosis is held; short gloves and dodoko elastic bands that support the loosely braided ends.
Background and plot
It is not known for certain what Alice's life was like before her appearance in the history of Teyvat, but she became a significant figure through many exciting encounters. One of them was an acquaintance with Reindottir, a sinner from Kaenri'ah, who later joined the Sabbat founded by Alice. Alice entrusted her student Albedo with gold, and she brought the genius to the Knights of Favonius in Mondstadt. The alchemist founded a personal research laboratory and took care of young Klee, who perceives him as an older brother.
In her adventures, Alice actively intervened in the fate of the characters we knew: for Dory she became the first supplier, Diluc received a long message of condolences from the witch after the death of his father, and Barbara became interested in the culture of idols thanks to the magazine “Alice’s Idol”. The sorceress compiled a “Guide to Teyvat”, the writing style of which is more reminiscent not of a full-fledged guide, but of a personal diary with a unique experience reflected in it and Alice’s relationships with the adventurers she met along the way.
Before her personal appearance in Nod Land, Alice more than once became the organizer of the summer adventures of Klee and her friends. So, over the years of the game, we visited the Golden Apple Archipelago that she found and equipped, Mirage Veluriyam, as well as Simulanka – a book world recreated from the work of the witch Andersdotter, Durin’s “mother”. The latter, with the help of Alice, received his human appearance, but before that the sorceress insisted on the “Game before the Gate” test, prepared for Albedo and the Traveler.
During the crisis on the borders of Teyvat (patch 6.2), Alice personally appears to our GG, helps with the return of Columbine and takes part in organizing the Night of Lunar Prayer festival, but leaves the lunar region before Dottore's actions. Witch's SabbathAlice is the elder and founder of a magical organization. The currently confirmed living members of her coven include Nicole, Reindottir, and Mona's mentor, Barbelot. The latter has been Alice's rival for a long time.
Golden Apple ArchipelagoThe mainland, remote from the main part of Teyvat, became a training ground for the summer games of Alice’s daughter, Klee. It is noteworthy that it is impossible to see Celestia in the sky above the magical islands.
SimulankaIn the world of Simulanka, Alice is revered as the Goddess of Creation, since it was her magic that “breathed life” into Andersdotter’s fairy tale.
Dodoko
Alice created the explosive “Dodoko” doll, inspired by Amber's unique weapon – Baron Bunny. Since the image of a magical animal occupies an important place in Klee’s life, the witch used the pseudonym DodoKorol in her summer adventures on the Archipelago.
SkirkAlice was the one who let Skirk into the area Teyvat, with the condition of minimal intervention by the student Surtaloga in the fate of the world (from the quest “Whispers between the Stars and Darkness”).
Release date, element and weapon
Pyro Gnosis, enclosed in the frame of the Anemo region, is a bright accent of Alice’s entire image, so her attacking element will be fire. There is no exact information about weapons, but all game sorceresses use a catalyst: among them is the fortune teller Mona, Lisa, who refused to join the coven, and the young witch Klee.
The banner of the great sorceress should be expected after the end of the Nod-End story (insiders claim that it will not be released until 7.0). Thus, players will be able to transfer Alice to their account no earlier than the end of September 2026.
