In Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), AIK (Cave Explorers Association) Commemorative Coins are special collectibles that can be collected to obtain valuable rewards. These strange tokens are hidden in secluded corners of New Eridu or are given out for helping locals. In this guide, we will tell you where to find them and who you should give them to for a reward.
Where to Find All AIK Commemorative Coins in ZZZ
Events that award AIK tokens are marked either by a special glow on some objects or a gray dialogue circle above the heads of townspeople. Pay attention to these signs, and you are more likely to stumble upon them.
You should also know that many coin activities only occur at a certain time of day. In the relevant guides, we always indicate when exactly to look for a particular coin. To quickly scroll through time, you can use the following methods:
- Rest (unfortunately, can only be used once a day).
- Training in the Combat Simulation Hall – choose quick battles with one opponent to spend the minimum battery.
- Battle orders – complete the shortest tasks in the HDD system, for example, the mission “Truly Deadly Test” from “Inserted Story of Chapter 2” is completed in 10-20 seconds, and the task “Away, Misfortunes!” from “Chapter 3” – in 20-30 seconds.
However, even if all conditions are met, you may not detect the event on site. Then try to apply the following tips:
- Wait until the next day and return to the specified location at the right time;
- If there is a quest near the place, try starting it or completing it immediately (we are talking about both full-fledged missions and small assignments, for example, tests of Meowchelo);
- Complete the activities with tokens on the map and return to the place a little later, updating the location.

Construction site on Kazarok Street
- Access to collection: opens after starting the story quest “Call from the depths of the cavern?..” and reaching approximately the 24th level of Internot.

Lumina Square
- Access to collection: opens after starting the story mission “Chapter 2: Interlude “and upon reaching approximately the 30th level of Internot.

Ballet Twins District
- Access to collection: opens after starting the story quest “Midnight Search” and upon reaching approximately level 34 of Internot.

What are AIK Commemorative Coins in ZZZ for?
Rewards from the Sage in the Barrel
The main purpose of the commemorative tokens is to transfer them to the so-called Sage in the Barrel, and coins from different locations need to be transferred to different characters.
Sage in a Barrel on Sixth Street
You can find him to the right of the 141 store, which is run by 3 banbu. The trash can you need is in the corner next to the green moped. You can give him the coins you collect on Sixth Street and the Construction Site on Kazarok Street. As a reward, you will receive:
- 112.5 thousand denny
- Expert journals x18
- Energy module of the amplifier x21
Important: The Sage in the Barrel does not take all of the AIK Coins you have, so you will always have one coin left as a souvenir.
Sage in a Barrel in Lumina Square
You can find him near the entrance to the AIK Club. There will be a separate checkpoint leading to him. You can give him the coins you collect in Lumina Square and in the Ballett Twins District. As a reward you will receive:
- 62.5 thousand denny
- Expert logs x10
- Amplifier energy modules x15
- Banbu widgets x5
- Ether coatings x15
Note that currently only 25 out of 35 commemorative coins can be given to him possible. Most likely, the remaining tokens will be given later, when new locations are released.
Inspector Meowchelo's Medals
Note that for collecting all the AIK commemorative coins in each location, you will unlock the corresponding medals from Inspector Meowchelo, receiving polychromes, denny, and upgrade materials as a reward. For this reason, do not forget to visit this mascot after collecting tokens in a particular area.
