In Genshin Impact, the precious chests of the Chenyu Valley are quite a valuable find, as they contain pestilence, source stones, Geo seals and useful materials . They can be found while exploring the tea region, completing quests, completing challenges and solving riddles. In this guide, we will demonstrate the location of all these chests and tell you how to open them.
Where to find precious chests in Chenyu Valley
There are currently 37 precious chests that can be found in the area added to the game in patch 4.4. Only a small number of them are located in open areas – most are hidden in secluded corners, which can only be reached after performing certain actions.
The map above shows the approximate location of all the precious chests in Chenyu Valley. We recommend starting to search for them after completing the “Jade Blessing” quest line, so that most of the hidden locations of the valley are open to you. Next, we'll take a closer look at how to obtain these caskets.
Precious Chest 1
- Area: Mingyuan Mountain
Move to the northern teleporter of the indicated location, and then jump off the mountain and fly in a northern direction. At the foot of the cliff you will find a locked chest. To remove the barrier, you will need to find three fairies and lead them to the houses. We examined this puzzle in detail in a separate guide.
Precious chest 2
- Area: Mingyuan Mountain
Return to the previous waypoint, but now glide off the mountain in a westerly direction toward the waterfall. In its lower part you will find a stone ledge on which the casket stands.
Precious chest 3
- Area: Mingyuan Mountain
Now teleport to the southern waypoint of the location and then start moving south. Climb up the hill ahead and then go down it. Here you will find an empty square area on which you will need to place the sacred simulacrum for the chest to appear. We talked in detail about how to do this in a separate material.
Precious chest 4
- Area: Jade Vent
Move to the teleporter in the south of the location, then turn around and jump off the mountain in a southerly direction, going down to the hilichurl camp. Deal with all the enemies (be careful, there will be Cryo, Pyro and Electro mages of the abyss here), and then open the chest located inside the hut.
Precious chest 5
- Area: Jade Vent
Go to the underground teleportation point, access to which is unlocked as part of the quest chain above. Then turn around and run in a northwest direction. Go around the ledge and you will see the entrance to a small cave where the chest is located. As soon as you approach him, a lavachurl with a stone shell will appear, which you will need to defeat.
Precious chest 6
- Area: Chizhang Wall
Teleport to the Geo Archon statue in the indicated location, and then run north, going down the path to a small waterfall. Here you will find a locked chest. To remove the barrier you will need to find a cup and place it on the stone table. We talked about this in detail in a separate guide (third cup).
Precious chest 7
- Area: Chizhang Wall
Return to the Archon statue, but now head south towards the ruins. Take out the bunch of automatons here and then solve the pillar placement puzzle to unlock the chest. We examined this puzzle in detail in a separate material (second area: Chizhang tree).
Precious chest 8
- Area: Chizhang Wall
Teleport to the northern waypoint of the indicated location, then turn around and run south. At the foot of the mountain you will find a locked chest. To unlock it you will need to solve the lotus puzzle. We examined it in detail in a separate guide (5th puzzle).
Precious chest 9
- Area: Chizhang Wall
Head to the central location teleport, and then go a little west, going down to the ancient ruins. Solve the pillar puzzle to get the Huangtsun Fragrant Wood and unlock the chest. We talked about this in this guide (first area).
Precious chest 10
- Area: Chizhang Wall
Return to the previous teleporter, but now run north, climbing to the top of the mountain. You'll find a jade tripod puzzle here. The solution can be found in this guide (12th riddle). Then open the chest.
Precious Chest 11
- Area: Chizhang Wall
Go back to past teleport, and then go down east to the ancient ruins. Solve the puzzle here with columns and simulacra, and then deal with a group of enemies to unlock the chest. We talked in detail about how to do this in a separate article (3rd riddle).
Precious chest 12
- Area: Chizhang Wall
Return to the previous teleport and move south to the dilapidated towers. To the left of one of them you will find a locked chest. To remove the barrier from it, you will need to find three fairies and lead them to the casket. We talked in detail about how to do this in a separate material.
Precious chest 13
- Area: Chizhang Wall
Located inside the tower behind bars. To open it you will need an ancient city key. We talked about how to find and use it in a separate guide.
Precious chest 14
- Area: Chizhang Wall
Teleport to the eastern waypoint of the location, and then run west, climbing the hill. Get to the hilichurl camp and kill all the enemies, including elite mobs. Having dealt with them, open the chest standing in the big house.
Precious chest 15
- Area: Yaode Valley
Move to the teleporter in the center of the location, and then move southeast, going up the mountain. On an island in the lake you will see a locked precious chest. You will need to bring three fairies to him to remove the barrier. We talked about how to do this in a separate guide.
Precious Chest 16
- Area: Chizhang Wall
Teleport to the southernmost waypoint of the location, and then start moving west. Plan to the waterfall and walk along the river. Then climb the mountain and find three fairies to collect all the platforms in one place and cause the golden carp to jump. In fish form you will fly to the chest. Precious chest 17
- Area: Chizhang Wall
Get to the southern coast of the location and find a stone table with a teapot there. Dispel the illusion of the stone on the island on the left, pick up the sword and fill the cup so that a chest appears nearby. We talked about this in more detail in a separate guide (4th cup).
Precious chest 18
- Area: Xuanlian Mountain
Move to the teleporter in the indicated location, then jump down and glide down. Here you will find a locked chest. To remove the barrier, you need to find three sacred simulacra and place them on free platforms. We examined this puzzle in detail in a separate guide (20-22 puzzle).
Precious chest 19
- Area: Tea Tree Slope
Teleport to the indicated location, and then go east, going down the slope. Approach the river and you will find a chest with a barrier and a lotus puzzle. We showed its solution in another guide (12th riddle). Be careful, as after opening the chest you may be attacked by a Cryo Void Mage.
Precious chest 20
- Area: Lingmeng Mountain
Move to the eastern teleport to the marked area, then turn around and start climbing the mountain to the north. Deal with Anemo and Hydro rogue hilichurls here to unlock the chest.
Precious chest 21
- Area: Lingmeng Mountain
From the previous location, run south towards the road. At the indicated point you will find a locked chest. To open it you will need two forgotten keys. We have shown their location in a separate guide.
Precious chest 22
- Area: Lingmeng Mountain
From the previous chest head west along the path until you find miasma on both sides of it. Deal with three miasmas by destroying three leaders. You can read more about this in our separate guide (4th in a row).
Precious chest 23
- Area: Lingmeng Mountain
Go to the northern teleport of the location, turn around and go down the mountain in a northeast direction. Near the river and waterfall you will find a locked chest. To remove the barrier you need to solve the puzzle with Pyro monuments. Its solution is presented in a separate article (2nd riddle).
Precious chest 24
- Area: Lingmeng Mountain
From previous location go south a little and fight the stone-shelled lavachurl near the hut. Having dealt with him, you can take the contents of the chest in the shack.
Precious chest 25
- Area: Lingmeng Mountain
From the last chest, run north to the cave where the deactivated ruin guard lies. To run it, you will need the Ruin Mechanism Core. Having obtained it, deal with the automaton and enter the cave. There you will find treasure thieves. Deal with them and open the chest. We described in detail how to do all this in a separate guide.
Precious chest 26
- Area: Lingmeng Mountain
Far in the north you will find another tea table. Solve the water puzzle in this place to make the chest you need appear. We looked at the riddle in a separate guide (1st in a row).
Precious chest 27
- Area: Tea Tree Slope
Teleport to the central waypoint of the area, and then go to the tea table in the northeast near the huge tree. Collect four butterflies here to get a chest. We looked at this puzzle in another guide (2nd in a row).
Precious chest 28
- Area: Tea Tree Slope
Teleport to the Geo Archon statue northeast of the indicated location, and then go to the river in the south. Near the waterfall you will find a locked chest. To remove the barrier, you will need to solve a puzzle with lotuses and simulacra. It is discussed in another material (8th in a row).
Precious chest 29
- Area: Yaode Valley (East)
Move to the easternmost teleport of Chenyu Valley, and then move south to the peninsula. Take out the group of hilichurls in the marked area, and then proceed to complete the challenge. You will need to reach the finish line within 60 seconds using aerial rings and golden carp jumps. At the end, a precious chest awaits you.
Precious chest 30
- Area: Xuanlian Mountain
Go to the southernmost teleport of Chenyu Valley, and then go a little to the northeast. Find the test in the indicated location and complete it. You will need to collect 12 Geo particles in 2 minutes. To do this, use the simulacrum standing here, placing several water pearls in the air. At the end you will receive a chest.
Precious chest 31
- Area: Chiwan Terrace
Teleport to the eastern location waypoint, then run to the south coast. Here you will find a challenge marker – complete it by defeating 4 opponents in 60 seconds. You will have to fight with Hydro mimics, as well as Anemo and Hydro rogue hilichurls. We advise you to use dishes for attack and crits in order to kill all enemies in time.
Precious chest 32
- Area: Chivan Terrace
Return to the previous teleport, but now head northwest. Climb to the top of the cliff and interact with the sword stuck in the ground. We talked more about these blades in a separate guide.
Precious chest 33
- Area: Chizhang Wall
Move to the eastern teleport the location, then head south and you'll soon find a miasma. Destroy the three branches, dealing with the three leaders, and at the end you will receive a precious chest. You can read more about this here (6th riddle).
Precious chest 34
- Area: Chizhang Wall
Return to the previous waypoint and now run east, around the mountains. Soon you will find a hilichurl camp. Take out all the enemies here, including the Anemo Hilichurl Rogue and Shamachurl, to remove the barrier from the chest.
Precious chest 35
- Area: Tea Tree Slope
Move to the teleporter in the indicated location, and then run east, going down the slope. You will soon discover a challenge mark. You will need to go through it three times, collecting Geo particles in a limited period of time. For the 3rd time you will receive a precious chest.
Precious chest 36
- Area: Lingmeng Mountain
You can get it as part of the side quest “Hidden Valley, Hidden Hero”. After solving the riddle in the library and lowering the water level, go deep into the temple, and along the way you will find a chest.
Precious chest 37< /h3>- Area: Chizhang Wall
It is given automatically when completing the secondary mission “Jade in the River, Chenyu Treasure”. You will need to descend into the whirlpool and begin searching for the scattered power of the Adepts.
