In Silent Hill 2 Remake, as in the original, you will encounter a lot of different puzzles, the solution of which will allow you to unlock hidden passages, get key items, get valuable resources or get to story locations. However, many puzzles are quite difficult to solve. In this guide, we will indicate all the puzzles present in the game and provide links to their detailed walkthroughs.
Puzzles in the East part of the South Valley
Jukebox in the bar “Neely”
Neely's Bar can be found on the corner of Sanders and Neely Streets, in the eastern part of South Valley. In addition to the save point, when you go inside, you will see a covered record machine. However, the machine will be broken and will give you half of a broken vinyl record. You will have to find its missing parts, and then correctly place and activate them in the machine to solve the puzzle. We have described this in more detail in a separate guide.
Password from the combination lock of the Supermarket
On the corner of Katz Street and Neely Street, you will find the local Supermarket. However, it will be impossible to get inside, as its door is locked with a combination lock, with no hint of a clue nearby. In a separate article, we have indicated the correct combination for different difficulty levels. Inside the building, you will find valuable supplies.
Puzzles in the Woodside Apartment Complex
Safe in room 206
When exploring the apartment complex, you will have to get to room 206 by first finding a handle in the form of a golden apple, and then moving the cabinet to the side. Inside the room, you will find a safe with a lock. To open it, you will have to get the code by carefully studying the drawings on the walls. In a separate material, we have indicated the correct combination for different difficulty levels. Inside the safe is a coin called “Man”.
Coin Locker
Almost at the very beginning of the building, you will find a cabinet with several holes for different coins. The first thing you need to do is find them and then correctly place them in the empty slots of the cabinet. At the same time, at different levels of difficulty, the solutions to the puzzle will differ. We have shown all the options in detail in a separate article.
Puzzles in the Blue Creek Apartment Complex
The Clock Puzzle
In the apartment with your first save, you will find a broken clock hidden by fabric. In order to progress through the story and get to the next location, you need to find three hands (hour, second, and minute) and arrange them correctly on the dial. We have described in detail where to find the clock and hands in a separate guide.
Swan figurine in room 210
At some point, you will find yourself locked in apartment 210, on the door of which there will be the letter “G”. To get out of it, you will have to solve a puzzle with a swing and a swan figurine. To do this, you will first have to assemble individual parts of the structure. You can read more about this in our separate guide. This will give you a winged key.
The code for the door in room 202
While exploring the complex, you may come across apartment 202, which is filled with moths. However, to proceed further in the story, you need to open the combination lock hanging on the door. Note that the combination will be different at different difficulty levels. We told you where to find this number and how to pick the code in a separate article.
Puzzles in the Western part of the South Valley
Safe in the Jacks Motel
After exploring Rosewater Park, you will find a motel, inside which there will be a safe next to the reception desk. You will have to pick up the combination for it by solving a small riddle. More details about this are given in our separate material.
