In Dying Light: The Beast stone sigils are unusual ancient stones on which mysterious symbols are drawn. They are scattered throughout various parts of the open world of the game, and collecting them allows you to obtain the unique legendary sword Expalibur II, which has extremely high damage and special buffs. This guide will show you where to find all the Runestones and how to use them.
Where to find all the Stone Sigils in Dying Light The Beast
In total, you can find 8 stone sigils in the game world, in a variety of locations. Usually they are simply hidden in secluded corners, but sometimes they are guarded by dangerous zombies. The map below shows their approximate locations. Next, we will tell you in detail how to get each stone (you can collect them in any order).
Stone sigil: Sacrifice
- Location: National Park
Go to the southern part of the indicated area, where large boulders stand in a circle, like in Stonehenge. Standing in the center of this structure, turn left and go under the stone arch. Continue forward until you enter a small alcove to the right of the stairs, partially covered by vines. Then immediately turn around and you will see the rune stone you need on one of the columns.
Stone sigil: Mark of the Witch
- Location: National Park
From the previous symbol, go a little west into a gorge partially filled with water. Below you can see a broken wooden bridge and a small house. Go down, deal with the zombies (or just walk around them), and then enter the building, turn right and take the rune from the wall near the window.
Stone sigil: Moon
- Location: National Park
From the last place, go even further to the west, climbing the mountain path, and then run to the gorge, turn left and start climbing the steps to the top. Once up, turn the camera left again and squeeze through the small gap in the rock to enter a semi-enclosed cave with a waterfall. Turn right and pick up the rune from the cobblestone.
Stone sigil: Void
- Location: National Park
Head to the river located southeast of the Monastery, right next to the waterfall on the map. Here, to the right of the waterfall, you will see the entrance to a cave, which you will need to enter. Go left, then turn right and squeeze through the hole. Start going down until you reach a fork – turn right and dive into the water. Dive a couple of meters into the depths, swimming to the bottom, and collect another rune stone here.
Stone sigil: Death
- Location: Old Town
Go to the northeastern part of the specified area and northwest of the railway station, find church (if this location is not yet available to you, then advance through the story). Then enter the building through the open passage below and immediately turn right to crawl into a small tunnel.
Move forward and turn left, going into the main part of the church. Be careful as there may be many enemies inside. Next, start walking towards the statue on the right side. At its foot you will find another symbol.
Stone sigil: Blood
- Location: Asylum
Go to the asylum located east of the Old Town and head to the park area of the institution, located even further to the east. Here you will find a fountain with a statue of a girl – go up to it and take a new rune stone from its base.
Stone sigil: Curse
- Location: Estates
Get to the Power Tower safe spot north of Memorial Hill and start walking east along the dirt path from there. At the same time, constantly look to the left, and soon you will see a kind of passage leading to a withered tree. Go around this mound on the left side and find a skeleton with a symbol inserted into its skull.
Stone sigil: Shadow
- Location: Estates
Head to the Forsworn Cave, located in the northern part of the indicated area, and enter it by looking for an inconspicuous passage in the rocks (the screenshots below show the exact location). Once in the cave, turn right and climb the metal ladder. Go through the tunnel and exit into a spacious area, then take a few more steps forward and turn the camera to the right and down – you will find a rune on the ground.
How to find and pull out Expalibur II
Return to the National Park and approach the strange column-shaped mountain located northeast of the Monastery – you will need to climb to the top. To do this, you need to climb along the ledges highlighted in white and tree branches.
Once at the very top of the mountain, you will find a sword stuck in the ground and a pentagram laid out around it with branches. You have to place all 8 sigils at the ends of the star. As soon as you do this, a strong enemy will suddenly appear that you will need to defeat. Only after this will you be able to remove the blade from the ground.
Note that we are talking about a legendary long sword, which not only has gigantic slashing damage, but also gives all kinds of bonuses to the character, including an increase in experience and a buff to damage.
