In Genshin Impact, the “Amazing Mold Tournament” is an event taking place in the second half of patch 4.2. In it you will meet characters you already know and mushroom kids. How to start the “Amazing Mold Tournament” event
This event starts on December 6, 2023 at 10:00 p.m. server time. It will be available until 03:59 on December 18, 2023.
To begin testing, you must meet the following requirements:
- Reach adventure rank 20 (we talked about how to do this faster in this guide).
- Complete the Archon quest “Song of Dragon Freedom.”
After completing all requirements, the corresponding task will automatically appear in the list of missions. The test will take place at Fontaine. If you haven't reached this region yet, you can check out all the ways to get there in the corresponding guide.
An amazing tournament of Molds!
Travel to the eastern part of the Cours de Fontaine. When you approach the marked area, a cutscene will automatically start in which you will meet the already familiar Haniya. She will tell you about the purpose of her arrival in Fontaine. You will have to complete the tutorial battle to complete the task and gain access to the main challenges of the event.

A simple test with monster mercenaries
The first battle you will face in this event is is for informational purposes only. You can add only two moldlings to your squad.
You will face 6 enemies: a large pyro slime and a mitachurl with a fiery axe. They will appear in waves. By directing your fighters in the right direction, you can easily deal with all the monsters.

At this stage you will have to face 15 monsters. Their list is shown in the image below.
A distinctive feature of this round is the increased damage from the dispel reaction. Based on the characteristics of the enemies and stage bonuses, we advise you to compose the following team:

Remember about leveling up. When you cast an element on an enemy, don't forget to inflate them with Anemo Molds to deal increased damage and complete the challenge within the allotted 150 seconds.

Your enemy in this level will be Magu Kenki. All molds at this stage have increased attack power, but this bonus will disappear as soon as they get hit.
We recommend you assemble the following squad:
- Bam-bam-hat will be able to attack the enemy and apply hydro.
- The duelist will effectively use the stage buff and will be able to deal high steam damage.
- Firejoy will protect her allies and deal additional damage.
- Wind Dancer will keep your fighters alive.

The Boar King has quite strong attacks that can drive the moldies into a corner if you do not have time to move them in time. You can resist them by getting a shield and sending the animal to Knockout. To do this, you need to destroy the snow piglets summoned on the field.
