The “Atlatl's Blessing” awaits the player in the arena in the underground kingdom of Natlan, which can be accessed through a specific obsidian obeliskTo find this stone, move to the northern slope of Mount Coatepec (for example, to the Fire Ruins or Ancient Watchpoint) and move to the top of the waterfall, under which there is a rest area for the Saurian companion – there is a bridge leading to an underground location in the rock. Move forward until you see a cave with lava lakes.

At the edge of the scorching magma, you can see a Geo-saurian Transmigration Marker — use it to become a dragon, burrow into the ground, and move along the right wall to the area with the tent (avoid the lava to keep your dragon form).

Then go to the right and use the dragon movement skill again: climb to the right half of the cave and move through the narrow opening ahead, get to the Phlogiston Rift, click “Enter” on it, and the saurian will automatically head to the end of the area – this is where the totem is. Touch the black stone, and it will teleport you to the Realm of Night.

Blessing of Atlatl in Genshin Impact: How to Find and Defeat

The fight with “Blessing of Atlatl” is a “Test of Endurance” that only the Traveler can participate in. While you are fighting “Will of the Nimble Feathers”, all elemental moves are disabled, but the hero can use Block (E-shka), which can be used to parry enemy attacks and accumulate stacks for enhanced attack in a stance (Q-shka).

Combat techniques “Blessing of Atlatl”

This local legend has a small range of powerful attacks, which can be divided by damage type:

  • Attacks with physical damage

The first move with physical damage looks like this: the enemy flaps his wings, and a horizontal field of five clearly defined sections appears on the ground in front of him, along which a pulse of boulders passes after a couple of seconds.

Second physical move: a whirlwind attack, during which Viob spins and makes a short, fast lunge towards the target. If dodged, the enemy can attack up to three times in a row, with short pauses.

A warning blue flash always appears before physical attacks, helping to use parry in time.

  • Geo damage attacks

The next move, but with geo damage, is a chain of two charged attacks. The first one starts with the creation of cross-shaped yellow fields under the creature, in place of which an impulse with amber boulders will occur. The second one works on the same principle, only the area of damage affects a wide strip in front of the creature.

Viob's last and longest move is a charged volley of geo-cores that can reach the target even from the far edge of the arena. If the creature suddenly flies to the side and concentrates a golden aura around itself, be prepared to run away or fight back for a long time.

There is no light signal before geo attacks, but they have long preparatory animations, so you can react in time. Plus, these attacks can also be parried with E, but purely on reaction.

Squad selection

As mentioned above, only our Traveler can participate in this fight. However, it can be strengthened a little:

  • Give the hero a blade with a physical damage bonus (or attack power), such as “Prototype: Malice” or “Falcon Sword”. The more upgraded the weapon is, the stronger your counterattacks;
  • Boost the Traveler's physical damage by equipping him with artifacts with a bonus to white attacks. Two pieces of Pale Fire and Blood Knight will do, or sets to increase attack power (take two parts from each set to activate only the first bonuses).

Also don't forget about food buffs: increasing crits and ATK, reducing stamina consumption and resistance to geo damage, as well as restoring health and increasing defense will do.

How to defeat “Blessing of Atlatl”

Only one tactic is suitable for fighting the winged legend: the player must cast Block (E-shka in time), dealing damage with recoil and simultaneously accumulating energy for a special move (Q-shka), and then using the ult to deal even more damage. Let's take a closer look at the use of these mechanics:

  • Pay attention to the visual cue before Wyob's physical moves: when the blue flash appears, you can press E and parry the blow, and the enemy will take damage;

The above clearly shows how to parry enemy attacks. Let us remind you that you can parry any of the legend's moves, but in some cases you will have to get used to the animations and rely on your reaction.

Tactics for getting the second achievement

According to the conditions of the second achievement, the player needs to parry all powerful moves and deal damage in return. The achievement assumes that you will repel any attack, but this does not mean that you cannot run away. To avoid messing with the legend, we recommend:

  • Focus on parrying white attacks and run away when the creature casts geo-techniques;
  • As soon as the ultimate points are collected, immediately activate the skill – the creature will be under “stun” the entire time you attack;
  • If you want to get used to parrying any technique, try playing a few trial fights and study the timing of enemy attacks.

Tactics for getting the third achievement

To complete the third achievement, the player's character must avoid any injuries. Before the start of the fight, it is better to restore all health and keep an eye on the Traveler's HP bar – if you notice even a small amount of damage, immediately restart the fight (English “P” on PC).

It is noteworthy that Wyob always attacks in the same sequence: Geo Core Shots → Wide Physical Field → Whirlwind → Combination of two Geo Attacks, then repeat the rotation. Once you get used to it, you can figure out when to dodge and parry.

Don't forget about the accumulating elemental explosion. If you get two skill points, you can attack for quite a long time, and the target will not be able to interrupt your series of attacks.

How to repeat the fight with “Blessing of Atlatl”

After defeating or interrupting the “Trial of Fortitude”, you will be teleported to the obsidian totem – by touching it, you can leave the Night Realm or repeat the fight an unlimited number of times. If you leave the location through the map, you will have to run again to the black obelisk in the lava cave in the north of Mount Coatepec.
