
Quest “Balm for the wounded” inHollow Knight: Silksongis a side task, but must be completed if you want to get into Act 3 of the game. The presented assignment is associated with the character Sherma, who will definitely be remembered by players who completed the previous part of the series. In the process of completing the quest, we will open a new location and receive a valuable reward in the form of a fragment of a coil. The following is a detailed walkthrough of the mission “Balm for the Wounded” in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
How to start the quest Balm for the Wounded
The presented order can be taken from the notice board in the “Song Corner”, which is located in the Citadel. But on your first visit there will be nothing here. In order for the board and characters to appear, it is important to activate the “First Altar” bench. This is done according to the main plot, so don't get lost.
When you do this, go right to the closed gate in front of the abyss. There lies the key to the new location.

After this, leave the location and return back after some time. There will be more characters, among them there will be Sherma, with whom you need to talk. Life will sing in the “Song Corner”, and a new quest “Development of the Song Corner” will hang on the wish board – this is the key condition. You need to donate 300 rosary beads for the development of the settlement.
Then we leave the “Song Corner” again. Upon returning, after all these steps, the desire “Balm for the Wounded” will appear on the notice board in the same location.
The quest will send us to the “White Chambers”, where we need to open the gate with the key and activate a new save bench.

How to find Sherma and complete the task Balm for the Wounded
The White Chamber is a rather gloomy place. To find Sherma and fulfill a wish from the “Song Corner”, read on.
First, go to the location, guided by the screenshot of the map above. The main goal is the eastern part of the location. You need to find a hidden area in the “White Chambers”, which is the entrance to Sherma’s hideout.

There will be an elevator inside. We go down to the lower level of the location.

Having descended, we run to left side to the very end. There we go higher along the bridges.

Let's go out into a narrow tunnel with traps. We run through the obstacles and come out to the elevator shaft.


We jump into the adjacent tunnel and On the first descent we jump down. We will find ourselves in a room with boilers. There we will be met by a couple of evil caterpillars. You need to run to the right all the way until you see the bridge overhead.



We rise higher and now run to the left. At the end we will find the entrance to a hidden area.

Go through the door and move right all the way to the end. There you will find a frightened Sherma locked in a small room. Talk to him to exhaust all dialogue – this will provoke an attack from enemies.

You have to fight off five waves of enemies. These will be Gravediggers and Surgeons. Here are some tips to help you survive:
- Do not get involved in close combat. Attack enemies one at a time, striking quickly and immediately retreating.
- Use walls. Climb them with the Grasping Grip skill and the Climber's Grip tool – this is a safe position for healing.
- Place traps. Tools like Spikes and Sting Shard will help control the space, especially if you have a Polyp Sac.
After winning, talk to Sherma again. He will gratefully give you a reward – a piece of a coil, and the quest will be completed.
This completes the quest “Balm for the Wounded”. Upon returning back to the “Song Corner”, a new task will open on the wish board – “The Missing Trader”.
