In Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), The Disappearance of Banbu is the story of Agent Qingyi, in which you will have to help a Security Service employee find missing robots, including Teddy the Shark in a cavern. To do this, you will need to complete several assignments in New Eris and complete one order. In this guide, you will learn how to start and complete this quest chain.
How to Start the “Banbu Vanishes” Agent Story in ZZZ
Before you can take on this quest line, you will need to meet a couple of conditions, namely:
- Reach at least Internot level 30.
- Complete the story mission titled “Chapter 2 Insert Story: Mission Impossible”.
Once you've completed the requirements, head to your Sixth Street video store, enter the office, and interact with the Video Archive. Then scroll the tapes to the right until you find Agent Qingyi's story. Click on it, select the first chapter, and click “Forward”.
Secret Service of the Security Service
Look for clues in and around the parking lot
When you watch Terminatron 2 with your sister/brother, a Security Service employee will knock on your door. Go to the door and open it. Then talk to Qingyi. You can choose any of the options, as they only slightly change the dialogues, without affecting the ending or rewards. This applies to all conversations in this quest chain.
Then go outside and head towards the Toy Store. Opposite it, you will find an android and a little girl. You will learn that the latter has lost her banbu named Teddy. Next, move to the “Pedestrian Zone” of Lumina Square, and you will immediately see Qingyi in front of you, with whom you need to talk again.
Next, you will need to find clues in the parking lot and near the cinema. Four markers will appear on the screen, but it seems that you only need to pick up one clue, as it is the only one that is important for this case. We are talking about the Signed Poster, leaning against the wall near the entrance to the alley, to the right of the cinema.
Examine the Suspicious Car
After taking the poster, return to Qingyi and chat with her again. She will point out the importance of the poster, and then tell you about a strange car with a trace of ethereum. Go to the white minivan and interact with it. Now you can return to your sister/brother at the video rental store and tell her what happened. This will complete the first quest in the chain.
Teddy's Appearance
Remake Teddy Number Two to Look Old
In the Agent Stories menu, select the tape with Qingyi again and now click on “Banbu's Disappearance (II)” to start the second mission. Open the door to your friend again and chat with her. You will decide to remake the new sharkaboo to look more like the old one.
Once outside, turn left and chat with Enzo. Then go to store “141” and talk to Kupiška. At the end, talk to Susie standing near the entrance to the Toy Store. Having managed to remake the new Banbu, you will receive a message on Tuk-Tuk, where you will be asked to return to the video rental.
Returning back, talk to Holly, who will at first be delighted to see the shark, but then realize that it is not Teddy. Then chat with your sister/brother in the office and tell her about what happened that day. This will complete the task.

Complete the order “Teddy Unchained”
While in the agent stories menu, select the tape with Qingyi again and Now click on “The Disappearance of the Banbu (III)” to take on the second task. Open the door again, but behind it you will find an unfamiliar Social Security employee instead of Qingyi. After talking with her, you will understand that your friend went to the cavern in search of Teddy, which will lead to receiving a new order.
Next, interact with the HDD system, go to the “Main Line” category and select the appropriate mission. The game recommends taking characters of at least level 38 of the electric, fire or/and physical attribute. In this case, you will be able to use the trial Qingyi. After completing the order, chat with Qingyi again. She will tell you about Holly's touching reunion with Teddy. Again, you can choose any answers, as they will not affect the ending. Then talk to your sister/brother to complete the entire quest chain.
