In Honkai: Star RailBattles without ninjas and pity is a mission to continue mastering and part of the chain “Banana Mayhem: Battles without ninjas and pity”, where you will need to awaken the Bayunan monkeys, catch up with the bananafessor Primon with the help of a sphere thrower and defeat the collective of the bananafedra of the wonderful forest. If you have difficulties with taking and completing the quest, then study our guide.
Walkthrough of the quest “Battles without ninjas and pity”
How to start the quest
It starts automatically immediately after completing the previous mission of the line called “Asdan Rhapsody”. Open the journal, find the corresponding task and start tracking it. If the quest does not appear, try moving to another location or logging out and logging back in after 20-30 minutes.
How to awaken the bayunan monkeys
Go to the camera and interact with it to proceed to the final act. Once you are in the right area, talk to the Bananafessor. Next, you will need to start waking up the Bayunan monkeys, playing as Rappa and using her technique (key “E”).
Note that during this stage you will be able to unlock two secret trophies:
- Chaos Ninjutsu: Breakthrough! – You must pierce enemy vulnerabilities 10 times in one battle.
- Stepping like an evil spirit – While sliding on graffiti while activating the “Ninja Step: Meaning of Blood” technique, you must not touch any obstacles.
So, make Rappa the active character, and then click the bottom button or the “E” key to use the surf graffiti and start “swimming” on the ground. You will need to crash into the monkeys before they run away from you. This game is similar to catching piggy banks in the Virtual Universe.
Let's add that the number of monkeys you knock down will determine the boost you get in the final battle. Plus, you can get one of three achievements:
- Evil Spirit: Awareness – you need to awaken from 0 to 39 monkeys.
- Evil Spirit: Extermination – you need to awaken from 40 to 59 monkeys.
- Evil Spirit: Without a Trace – you need to awaken 60 monkeys or more.
Thus, after appearing at the location, immediately use the Rappa technique and “swim” down to knock down the first 7 monkeys. Then go up and destroy 3 more monkeys. After that, you can move towards the sphere thrower. The gif below shows how to do this.
How to catch Primon with the sphere thrower
When you get close to the sphere, interact with it. Note that if you are visiting this location for the first time, since you previously used the “Vision of Completion” option, you will first have to solve the puzzle with the lenses (the solution is shown in the picture below). Otherwise, you will be able to immediately move to the other side.
Once in the new area, use the technique again. This time you will be able to awaken 14 monkeys, some of which will be in groups, and others – alone. The gif below shows how to catch them all. In total, at this stage you should already have caught 24 creatures.
Then go to the second sphere thrower. The professor will manage to get away from you again. Interact with the ball and solve the puzzle or immediately move to the other side.
Once you get to the new location, get on the surf again and start swimming forward. Here you will be able to find 27 monkeys. Almost all of them will be on your way, so you are unlikely to lose sight of them. However, they can run in different directions, which will make it more difficult to catch them. The gif below shows the whole process.
As usual, you will reach the sphere thrower. The professor will manage to get away from you again. Interact with the ball and solve the puzzle or immediately move to the other side.
How to catch Bananafessor Primon
In the last location you will find more than 20 monkeys, so you should easily collect 60 pieces if you have previously awakened at least 45 creatures. All of them will be on your way. Unless you immediately turn right at the square, and not left, otherwise you can miss 9 monkeys and start the cutscene ahead of time.
The gif above shows how to defeat all the monkeys. Note that immediately after the video, a boss fight will begin, so we advise you to assemble a suitable team to fight him in advance.
How to defeat the Banafedra Collective of the Wonderful Forest
Note that your squad will definitely include Rappa, who plays the role of the main damage dealer, so you should build a pack around her. In the table below, we have shown several optimal group options with her. We also recommend that you read our guide to the heroine.
Main DD | Sub DD | Sub DD/Support | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Rappa | Pioneer (imaginary) | Asta | Lynx |
Rappa | March 7 (Hunt) | Pioneer (imaginary) | Gallagher (Aventurine) |
Rappa | Pioneer (imaginary) | Ruan Mei | Linsha (Gallagher) |
Rappa | Pioneer (imaginary) | Armor | Linsha (Gallagher) |
If you don't have any suitable pumped up supports, add your best damage dealer to the team and build the squad around him. Rappa will have to perform the function of a sub-DD. Note that you will have to fight a boss, which is a group of several opponents. Almost all of them are vulnerable to imaginary damage, so we recommend taking characters of the corresponding elements.
We are talking about the following enemies:
- Banana Mentor of the School of Harmony – deals fire explosive damage or increases the attack power of your characters; can change the state of his ally and prevent him from switching channels.
- Labananorant of the Banafedra Collective – deals quantum damage to all targets and reduces their energy or restores energy to one of your characters.
- Banana Mentor of the School of Wealth – takes away skill points from your team or vice versa restores them.
Note that at the second stage, Graduation Party appears on the action scale, which removes all debuffs from enemies and changes their channel to combat. Try to penetrate the vulnerabilities of opponents as often as possible to delay the progress of Graduation Party. We will add that the boss will be able to increase the attack power of all his allies, as well as reduce the energy and skill points of your heroes.
Note: If you lose, you can then choose a simplified battle mode so as not to suffer with killing the boss.
Find out how your classmates are doing (optional)
After defeating the boss, watch a colorful cutscene. Then you will return to the Origami Academy. First, you can find out about the condition of your classmates, and then go to the festival ceremony. First, chat with Monatna, standing on the left, near the poster with an owl. Go a little further and chat with Grosh and Deluxe.
Go down the stairs and talk to Chaletka, and to the left of her you can find Bananaflower-chan, who was able to get a small role in the movie Reki. At the end, go to Himeko and Velt. Then listen to Zaryanka's speech.
At the end, you will see a scene with Rappa and Mr. Reka. The latter will want to thank the ninja by revealing to her information about where to find Dr. Primitive. This will end the quest chain. As a reward, you will receive 500 Mastery Points, 60 Star Jades, 4 Traveler's Guides, 6 Lost Crystals, and 80,000 Credits.
