Before Seeds Sprout in Genshin Impact: How to Plant a Seed with a Saurian

All missions from the “In the Footsteps of the Dragon's Chosen” chain are only available if you have completed the quest “Lost Children of the Forest”. They are not connected with other quests or with each other.

How to start and complete the quest “Until the seeds sprout…”

To stumble upon the activity, warp to the Ancient Watchtower dungeon, then climb up the cliff behind it. A little further ahead, you'll see an earthy clearing with lava cracks that will attract the dragon's attention.

Our zavrian-satellite will begin to inspect the area, and we will be required to approach the earthen pitsand wait for the creature to finish digging. Explore the emerging markers and move to the next ones until the dragon finally digs up something interesting – then a tall pillar of light will appear in the right place.

It turns out that an unusual seed was buried in the ground, which, although it does not look valuable, can bring amazing shoots. And since the young Saurian wants to plant it, we need to help him with this.

Plant the seed along with the Saurian companion and fill it with phlogiston

After finding the seed, the little dragon will make a hole for it itself – we just need to wait a little. Then the company will decide to awaken it with the special energy of Natlan, so after planting, you need to fill it with phlogiston.

Destroy phlogiston aphids and monsters

The burst of phlogiston will attract several pests: a swarm of aphids will fly to the seed, and then a lava golem with a couple of pyro slimes. You can get rid of the insects with regular attacks or the “Dismiss” command, and monsters can be simply destroyed.

Having eliminated all threats and provided the seedling with conditions for growth, the heroes decide to leave it to ripen. This will end the first stage of the mission, and we will receive 30 Primogems, 200 experience points and 35 thousand Mora.

For the seed to sprout, you need to wait at least one real day.

Return to the seedling

Wait one non-game day and return to the clearing with the seedlings: fiery buds of ash will appear on the once empty soil. In a short dialogue, the heroes will enjoy the fruits of their labor, and then a notification will appear about receiving the achievement “New Hope” (+5 Primogems) – this is the last reward for this quest.

Here you can also collect three ash petals, which will be useful for crafting the Earthshaker claymore.
