Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

In Genshin ImpactBerry is a 4-star character who belongs to the Anemo element and uses a bow in battle. In a squad, she can play the role of a sub-damage dealer/healer, capable of assigning statuses from the pocket and healing allies. In this guide we will tell you about its best build, weapons and artifacts, as well as the commands recommended with it.

Main features of the Berry

How to get the Berry

In the first phase of Update 6.2, this funny Curatorium of Mysteries employee appeared in the banner for the first time, which increased her drop rate. Then it will be added to the standard Prayer, which will reduce the drop chance of an archer from Nod's End. At the same time, developers often hold events in which they give away 4-star heroes for free. We will definitely inform you about this when a corresponding event occurs.

Yagoda’s abilities

Basic attacks “Shoot while it’s hot”

When performing a regular strike, the heroine fires up to 3 shots from a bow, and when charged, she makes an aimed shot with increased damage. When aimed, charges the arrowhead with wind and, if fully charged, deals damage to Anemo. While performing a fall attack, she releases a hail of arrows that deal damage in an area after the hero lands.

Elemental skill “Cunning Plan: Divide” production”

The berry dashes towards the enemy and upon contact with it enters the Pursuing Shadow state, in which it begins to constantly move at high speed. If there are nearby opponents with the statuses Pyro, Electro, Hydro or Cryo, then she tunes her Secret Bubble-Bubble Flask to this element and gradually fills it. After the skill ends or when activated again, the Berry empties the flask and deals Anemo damage to nearby enemies once. When the flask is filled, the heroine also empties it, exits the Stalking Shadow state and deals higher Anemo damage to nearby enemies once.

If in During the dash, the Berry does not come into contact with the enemy, then it throws a smoke bomb at the starting position, causing Anemo damage to nearby enemies.

Secret glug-glug-flask:the element is changed taking into account the following priority – Piro > Hydro> Electro > Cryo. The flask's elemental conversion occurs after each use of an elemental skill and only once. In addition, she takes out a new flask.

Moon Sign – Supreme Light:When the Secret Bubble-Bubble Flask is completely filled, the heroine does not immediately empty it, but over the course of some time gradually spends the energy in it, periodically releasing Fluffy Cat Balls at nearby opponents, causing damage to the element of the flask. When an enemy is hit by a Fluffy Cat Ball, the Berry restores 2 units of energy. This effect can occur once every 3.5 seconds.

Aces Up the Hole: Seven Tools of the Hunter Elemental Burst

The Berry activates two Personal Assistance Coordinators and deals Anemo damage to nearby enemies once.

Personal help coordinators periodically restore the health of the active team character. If the hero's HP is above 70%, then the devices also heal the party member with the lowest health.

Moon Omen – Supreme Radiance:If there are nearby opponents with the effects of Pyro, Hydro, Electro and Cryo, personal assistance coordinators are replaced by the corresponding element, taking into account the following priority – Pyro > Hydro> Electro > Cryo. Coordinators only undergo elemental conversion once each time they are used. If the element changes, the devices periodically attack up to three opponents, causing the corresponding elemental damage.

Passive talents

The first of them is called “Ingenious plan to demand payment”. If the team has at least one Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo character, then, depending on the predominance of heroes of one of these elements, Personal Help Coordinators receive the following bonuses:

  • Pyro – devices deal 130% of the initial damage.
  • Hydro – devices provide 120% of the initial healing value.
  • Electro – the number of devices increases by 1.
  • Cryo – the interval between device attacks is reduced by 10%.

If the number of characters with the specified elements is equal, then the bonuses are activated in the following order: Pyro, Hydro, Electro, Cryo. At the beginning, only one effect of a particular element will work.

The second – Sweet Berry Reward – allows you to increase the elemental mastery of the active character by 100 units for 6 seconds, when Personal Berry Help Coordinators heal him, and the health of this hero exceeds 70%.

As for the third passive “Gift of the Moon Omen: Running on the Cornices”, it is simply Increases the team's Lunar Omen level by 1 when Berry is present in the party.

Yagoda also has a special innate passive Alley Resourcefulness, which reduces the duration of expeditions in Nod's Land by 25%.

Yagoda's Constellations

Unlocking them requires the character's Luck, which is awarded when duplicates of the heroine appear, which, of course, is random. However, the likelihood of getting 4-star characters is much higher than legendary ones, so you may well open at least a couple of constellations.

The table below provides a list of all constellations with their descriptions and benefits for the character.

NameDescriptionBenefit
Another flask! When Fluffy Catball hits an enemy, it has a 50% chance to bounce once and deal corresponding elemental damage to the nearest enemy. It brings average benefits, as it is based on randomness. However, if you are lucky, you will be able to release 15 cat balls during the duration of the flask, the total multiplier of which will be 3450% at skill level 10. But you can only use C1 in teams with the Highest Radiance.
Rogue ImprovisationThe heroine gets the opportunity to keep records about the element not only with the largest number of characters, but also about the element that comes next on the list, which allows you to activate two effects at once.A good constellation, thanks to which Yagoda will be able to receive two buffs from her passive at once, for example, not only deal more damage with coordinators, but also heal allies more effectively.
Desperate AdventureThe level of the ult increases by three. Maximum level: 15th.Gives a medium-high benefit, since the effectiveness of treatment depends precisely on the explosion of the element.
Wild berries on the sandThe berry restores 4 units of energy when the element is changed by personal assistance coordinators.Simply gives Yagoda more energy, lowering her VE requirements. The greatest benefit will come from the Electro buff.
The Greatest TreasureThe skill level increases by three. Maximum level: 15th.Gives average benefit. In teams with High Radiance, the Berry will be able to deal more damage with the E-shka.
A grain of luckMoon Omen – Supreme Radiance: When the Secret Glug-Glug Flask is full, increases Moon Omen characters' crit chance by 5% and critical damage by 40% for 20 seconds. An excellent constellation that provides a significant buff to the crits of allies. But you can only use it in teams with heroes from Nod's Land.

In general, Yagoda has good constellations, and given that they are relatively easy to reach, we advise you to try to open at least C1 and C2, so that Yagoda can inflict elemental statuses even more effectively, deal more damage and receive two buffs from the passive.

How to play for Yagoda

As you probably already noticed when reading Yagoda’s abilities, she becomes noticeably stronger when she has the Lunar Sign – Supreme Radiance activated (there are at least two edge nodes in the squad). However, is everything so bad in the absence of this buff? To answer this question, we will consider both options separately, indicating the optimal rotations for them.

Note: The basic attacks in both cases are nothing special, so you can ignore them.

Moon Omen – Nascent Radiance

If you use an elemental skill and do not touch the enemy, then Yagoda will simply throw a bomb and deal Anemo area damage with a multiplier of 286% at the 10th level of the ability (hereinafter in the text we will always mean the 10th level), which, of course, is very sparse. If you make contact with the enemy, the heroine will begin to quickly run across the field (the speed is approximately the same as a sprint), while holding a flask in her hands and gradually filling it if there are mobs with elemental status nearby.

When the skill ends, is used again, or the flask is completely filled (the corresponding scale will appear next to the character), the Berry will again deal area damage to Anemo with a multiplier of 343% (incomplete flask) or 382% (full flask) and generate 3-4 energy particles. As you can see, the damage is not very different, so in this case it is not necessary to wait until the bar is completely filled.

If you perform the ult, it will cause Anemo damage in an area with a multiplier of 373%, which is again extremely small, and will call two assistance coordinators who will begin to fly around the active character and heal him in the amount of 144% of Berries' attack power + 1102 units. In 12 seconds, they will have time to complete 8 treatments.

Thus, if the heroine has 1800 attack power, then in a full cycle she will be able to restore 29 from the active character 552 health units (excluding bonuses). This is a very significant amount, so Yagoda may well become the main healer in almost any squad.

Note: If the active character's health exceeds 70%, then the coordinators will also heal the ally with the lowest current HP in the squad in the amount of 55% of Berries' attack power + 424 units. Plus, this active hero will increase his elemental mastery by 100 units for 6 seconds.

Let's add that she also has bonuses, the activation of which depends on the predominance of Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo characters in the squad, but in this case they are almost all non-working. A good buff is associated only with Hydro, which allows you to increase the effectiveness of treatment. Taking into account all this information, we can highlight the following optimal rotation for her, which will turn out to be as simple as possible:

  1. You do not need to assign statuses to enemies before using Yagoda’s E-Shki, since they will still be useless to her in this situation. Therefore, it is not necessary to fill the flask – the difference between the damage of a full and incomplete flask is minimal. In this case, the skill is only needed to collect energy particles.
  2. Once your ultimate is ready, use it to start healing the active character (and the wounded ally) and give them a significant buff to MC. She will not do anything else.

Moon Sign – Supreme Light

If there are two Kraev nodes in your team at once, then everything becomes much more interesting. Now, after using the skill, it actually makes sense for you to start filling your flask by running near elemental status enemies. As soon as you completely fill the scale, Berry will place a container near the character and begin launching Fluffy Cat Balls at the enemy every 2 seconds, causing elemental damage in an area with a multiplier of 230%.

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Note: It takes about 3 seconds to completely fill the flask, and the Berry must be very close to enemies with elemental status. Even if you move 2-3 meters away from them, the scale will stop immediately. You should also activate the E-shka near the enemy, otherwise the heroine will simply throw a smoke bomb.

The duration of the flask is 20 seconds, that is, she will have time to launch 10 cat balls, the total multiplier of which will be 2300%, which is quite a lot, so Yagoda can be considered a full-fledged sub-DD. The type of elemental damage depends on what element the flask absorbed from the enemies. If they have several statuses assigned to them, then the element is selected in accordance with the following priority: Pyro > Hydro> Electro > Cryo.

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Note: In addition, every the catball will also apply elemental status at intervals of 2 seconds, which turns Yagoda into a good applicator.

As for the ultimate, it also begins to work a little differently – coordinators get the opportunity to absorb elements from enemies and inflict elemental damage to several (up to 3) nearby enemies with a 31% multiplier. In 12 seconds, they manage to hit approximately 11 times and inflict status 3 times. So you can ignore this.

But you will finally get buffs for coordinators, depending on the predominance of Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo characters in the team. True, here again the most useful is still the Hydro bonus, increasing treatment. After it in terms of usefulness comes the Electro buff, thanks to which a 3rd coordinator appears, which slightly increases damage, allows you to apply statuses more often and gives more energy when C4 is open.

Taking into account this information, we can highlight the following optimal rotation for it:

  1. Use the abilities of other sub-detonators and supports working from the pocket to assign elemental statuses to enemies.
  2. Switch to Yagoda and activate her E-shka while being close to enemies, and then run around them for about 3 seconds to fill the scale and place a flask on the battlefield, which will begin to periodically attack enemies, causing damage and assigning new statuses.
  3. Switch to the main DD and use its rotation.
  4. Activate Yagoda's ult when ready to start healing the active character (and the most wounded one) ally) and give him a buff to MS.

Advantages and disadvantages of Yagoda

Using her unique abilities, this heroine is able to heal allies and damage enemies from the pocket. Her advantages also include:

  • When High Radiance is active, she turns out to be a very versatile character who is capable of not only giving a buff and healing the active character, but also inflicting very significant elemental damage from the pocket and inflicting various elemental statuses.
  • It goes well with other characters from Nod-Edge, complementing them and allowing you to activate the bonuses of the Supreme Radiance.
  • It has good constellations that can significantly strengthen both the Yagoda itself and its allies.
  • It has very great potential, because in the future the developers will release many other Nod-Edgeers, who will most likely also need the Yagoda.
  • Capable of completely healing almost any character in 12 seconds, as it has good healing capabilities. Therefore, even outside of packs from Nod Land, it can benefit allies.

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

However, it is still impossible to call Yagoda an ideal character, since she also has her own disadvantages that come straight out of the advantages:

  • Significantly loses its potential if the team does not have a second character from Nod-Edge, turning into an ordinary healer with a small buff to MC.
  • After activating the E-shka, she needs to run next to enemies for about 3 seconds to fill the flask, thereby taking time away from the main DD and slowing down the entire rotation. Plus, powerful blows from opponents can knock Yagoda off balance, causing her to drop her flask.
  • Almost all of her constellations work only with the Highest Radiance, that is, without a second character from Nod's Land they will become useless.

Best build for Yagoda

Best weapon

When choosing a bow, priority should be given to those that increase attack power, critical damage or critical hit chance, as well as speed up energy recovery and give buffs to the team. The table below presents the most interesting options.

Name and rarityCharacteristics (level 1-90)Passive ability

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Elegy of Perdition (5-star)

Energy recovery: 12%~55.1%

Base attack: 46~608

Increases elemental mastery by 60 points. When you hit an enemy with an elemental skill or an elemental explosion, a talisman of memories appears. If you receive 4 talismans, they are reset, causing the Farewell Hymn effect, which increases the elemental mastery of all team members by 100 units and the attack indicator by 20 percent. Talismans begin to appear again only after 20 seconds.

Allows you to activate your ultimate more often, using it on CD and gives extremely useful buffs to all allies, turning Yagoda into an excellent support (especially with an open C6). This bow will be useful both in teams with and without Supreme Radiance.

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Aqua simulacrum (5-star)

Critical damage: 19.2%~88.2%

Base attack: 44~542

Increases HP by 16 percent. If there are opponents nearby, it increases the damage inflicted by the hero by 20 percent. The bonus is issued even if the character is not on the battlefield.

If you use Berry in teams with Supreme Radiance and want to significantly increase its personal damage, then you can take this bow. True, you will have to get attack power and HE from artifacts.

Yagoda in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Favonia Combat Bow (4 stars)

Energy recovery: 13.3%~61.3%

Base attack: 41~454

Critical hits have a 60% chance of creating elemental particles that restore 6 energy. The effect appears once every 12 seconds.

An excellent 4-star option for any situation, but it will be especially useful for a healer, since you can be guaranteed to use your ultimate on cooldown. Plus, you will provide energy to your allies. True, you will have to increase your crit. the heroine's chance is at least up to 40-50%.

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Rainbow Serpent Rain Strings (4 stars)

Energy recovery: 10%~45.9%

Base attack: 42~510

After the bow owner's attacks hit the target, his attack power increases by 28/35/42/49/56%. The buff is activated only when the character leaves the battlefield, and lasts 8 seconds.

Another excellent bow for Yagoda, which not only allows you to activate an elemental explosion on cooldown thanks to the acceleration of HE, but also enhances the effectiveness of healing, giving a huge increase in attack power. It will also be useful as a sub-DD, because the heroine’s damage is also scaled by ATK. You can get this bow for the event of patch 6.2.

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Rangefinder (4 stars)

Attack power: 6-27.6%

Base attack: 44-565

When the wearer heals or receives healing, they are imbued with the Mark of Unity for half a minute. You can get up to 3 Marks in total. When a skill or ult is activated, all Marks are spent and the Resistance effect is created for 10 seconds: for each Mark spent, attack power increases by 3%, and the damage bonus with all elements increases by 7%. The Repulse effect can occur once every 15 seconds. The character receives Marks of Unity even if he is not on the battlefield.

Significantly increases the attack power of Yagoda, and therefore increases the effectiveness of its healing. Plus, it gives a small bonus to elemental damage, which will be useful for the heroine in the role of sub-damage.

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Silk hook (4 stars)

Energy recovery: 13.3%~61.2%

Base attack: 41~454

After any elemental reaction is triggered, the character receives from 60 to 120 units of elemental mastery (depending on the elevation of the bow) for a period of 12 seconds, and if “Moon Omen – Supreme Radiance” is active (in squad 2 heroes of Nod's Edge), adds another 60 to 120 units to the skill above. The passive works even when the hero on whom the effect hangs is in reserve.

A good option for Yagoda with Supreme Radiance, since it not only gives her the VE she needs, but also significantly increases MS (up to 240 units), however, it will be Yagoda who will need to close the reactions.

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Ceremonial bow (4-star)

Energy recovery: 6.7%~30.6%

Base Attack: 44~565

When an elemental skill deals damage, there is a 40%~80% chance that its cooldown will instantly recover. Can occur once every 30~16 seconds.

Gives less energy than previous options, so you will still have to get it in sub-stats, and repeated use of the E-shka will only be useful for Berry without High Radiance to generate additional energy particles.

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Hunter in the Dark (4 stars)

Attack power: 6%~27.6%

Base attack: 44~565

Increases damage to the hero when he is not on the battlefield by 2%~4% per second. Maximum damage can increase by 20%~40%. When the character becomes active, the damage decreases by 4%~8% per second.

Gives a significant increase in attack power, and, therefore, increases the effectiveness of treatment and the overall damage of the Berry. Passive will also be extremely useful for her (under the influence of Supreme Radiance), given that most of the time she will sit in the pocket and deal damage automatically.

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Melody of Peace (4 stars)

Attack Power: 9~41.3%

Base Attack: 42~510

After healing, damage increases by 16~32% for 8 seconds. The bonus is activated even if the owner is not on the battlefield. This bow can be obtained for free through crafting.

Significantly increases the attack power, and, therefore, increases the effectiveness of treatment and the overall damage of the Berry. However, to activate the passive, you will need to heal the Berry, slowly removing it from the battlefield after activating the ult.

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Wither (4-star)

Energy recovery: 10%~45.9%

Base attack: 42~510

When using an elemental skill, all successful attacks deal area damage equal to 80%~160% of the character's ATK. The effect disappears after 3 shots or 15 seconds. It appears once every twelve seconds and deals damage no more than once every two seconds.

Supplies energy, improves basic attack quite well and makes it possible to increase your own damage. In addition, this bow can be obtained completely free of charge by fishing in Sumeru.

Best artifacts

We recommend choosing sets that can increase Yagoda's attack power and energy recovery, as well as give buffs to her allies. The table below shows the best options.

ArtifactsBonusesBenefits

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Emerald Shadow

2 pieces: increases Anemo damage by 15%.

4 pieces: increases damage from Dispel by 60%. If this reaction interacts with another element, it reduces enemies' resistance to that element by 40% for 10 seconds.

As usual, it is the optimal choice for any Anemo support, allowing you to significantly reduce the elemental resistance of enemies, thereby increasing the damage not only of allies, but also your own.

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

Silk Moon Serenade

Two pieces of the set increase VE by 20%.

Four items: Dealing damage with any element triggers Radiant Moon: Trust for 8 seconds. It depends on the team’s Lunar Sign (the number of heroes from Nod’s Edge): with Nascent Radiance (1 hero), MS increases by 60 units, with Supreme (2 heroes) – by 120. The effect occurs even if the hero is inactive and not present on the field. For each effect of a Radiant Moon of various types, the unit deals 10% more damage with Lunar Reactions.

An excellent alternative to the previous option in teams with Supreme Radiance playing through Lunar Reactions. Makes it easier to activate the ult on cooldown and gives a noticeable bonus to MS to all allies, increasing their damage.

Regarding characteristics of artifacts, then you must choose as follows:

  • Hourglass: energy recovery (priority) or attack power%
  • Cup (chalice): attack power%
  • Crown (hat): healing bonus (priority), attack power% or crit. chance (Favonius weapon)
  • Additional characteristics: energy restoration (to the required value) > attack power% > Elemental Mastery > crits

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

If we talk about the optimal indicators of the heroine's attributes, then they look as follows:

  • Attack power: 1800+
  • Energy recovery: 180% if there is a second Anemo character or a hero with a Favonius weapon in the squad, and without it you need to reach 200% to use the cooldown ult
  • Critical hit chance: 40-50% (when using the Favonius bow)
  • Elemental Mastery: in High Radiance commands, this parameter can be increased to 200+ units

Best commands for Yagoda

If you plan to use Yagoda only as a healer, giving a small buff to MC and cutting off enemy resistance with Emerald Shadow, then it can be inserted into almost any squad. However, if you want to fully realize the young lady's potential, you will need to combine her with another character from Nod's Land.

At the same time, it is not necessary to use premium Lauma, Nefer or Flinsa, because it goes well with the free 4-star Aino, which is a good Hydro applicator. These two heroines can easily join teams playing through Steam, Charged, Budding, Lunar Charge or Lunar Budding. The table below shows the optimal packs.

How to improve skills

You have to search and collect a lot of different materials, namely:

  • Teachings, instructions and philosophies about “Wandering” – obtained on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays in the “Capital of Impenetrable Darkness” dungeon.
  • Broken Shaft, Reinforced Shaft, and Precision Shaft – drop from Nod Land land cruisers, can be purchased with Star Shine, or crafted through Alchemy.
  • Ascended Sample: Horse – Drops from the weekly boss of the Game before the Gates.
  • Crown of Epiphany – can be obtained during events, as well as by upgrading Sacred Sakura, Tree of Eternity permafrost, Tree of Dreams, Fountain “Lusin” and Fire Tona.

Berry in Genshin Impact: guide to the best build

If we talk about priority of leveling up talentsthen if you use Berry only as a healer, then the first thing you need to do is level up its ultimate. If you use it in teams with Supreme Radiance, then it is recommended to upgrade the elemental explosion simultaneously with the elemental skill. You don't have to upgrade regular attacks.

How to elevate your character

Get ready to search and collect a large number of different materials. Their list and methods of obtaining are indicated below.
