In Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), Blot is a cute black cat that can be found on Sixth Street. You can adopt her in your video rental store if you manage to increase your trust level with her. To do this, you will have to complete special assignments involving Soldier 11, pet the cat correctly, and play hide and seek with her. In this guide, we will tell you in detail how to befriend Blot and take her home.
First level of trust with Blot in ZZZ
Order “In the company of Blot”
There is a high probability that you will first meet Blot while completing the above task. Access to it becomes available after completing the story of Agent Soldier 11 “Mole in the Cavern” and starting the story mission “Chapter 2: Sideshow”. Wait for a message from a girl who will tell you about a cat near the slot machines and offer to visit her.
After that, a corresponding mission will appear in your diary. Despite the fact that Soldier 11 talks about the morning time, you need to wait until night. Then leave the video rental store and run forward past Inspector Meowchel and Howl's kiosk. You will see your girlfriend and a black cat around the corner.
Chat with the fighter. She will note that “The girl from the arcade said that the cat's name is Klyaksa. “Strange name.” You can choose one of three answers:
- “Exactly” is the best option, allowing you to significantly increase the level of trust with Soldier 11.
- “Soldier 11 is also a pretty weird name” – slightly increases the level of trust with Soldier 11.
- “Want to come up with another name for her?” – slightly increases the level of trust with Soldier 11.
After finishing the conversation with her, you will complete the first task and receive 50 Internot credits, 5 polychromes, 1 amplifier power source and 1200 denni as a reward. Plus, you will unlock the 1st level of trust with Klyaksa.
Where to find Klyaksa
At the 1st level of Trust, you will be guaranteed to find Klyaksa at night on Sixth Street. To quickly change the time of day, use the following methods:
- Rest (unfortunately, can only be used once a day).
- Training in the Combat Simulation Hall – choose quick battles with one opponent to spend a minimum of battery.
- Battle orders – complete the shortest tasks in the HDD system, for example, the mission “Truly Deadly Trial” from “Inserted Story Chapter 2” is completed in 10-20 seconds.
After nightfall, leave the video rental store and start looking for the Blot. At this point, you can find it in one of the following places:
- Next to the Turbo tuning shop.
- Near the Koff-cafe coffee shop – it will be lying on the air conditioner, to the right of the tables.
- In the alley between the Soup Waterfall noodle shop and the Koff-cafe coffee shop – look at the end of the road, it will be lying on a stone fence.
- Opposite the Toy Store, where they sell amplifiers – it will be sitting on a transformer.
- In the alley behind the Godfinger Gaming Club, where you first encountered Klyaksa with Soldier 11. This time, she'll be lying on a dumpster.
- In the alley behind the 141 Department Store, run by three Banbu. She'll be lying or sitting on some boxes.
The screenshots above show all the possible places where you can meet the Blot. Note that you can interact with the Blot no more than once per day, so if you, for example, found it in the evening, you will not meet it at night – move on to the next day.
The Blot looks wary
At the first level of trust, the Blot will be wary of you. For this reason, do not try to approach it or pet it. Always choose the “Observe from afar” option. Let your cat get used to you.
Klyaksa is sleeping
If you see that the cat is sleeping, do not try to pet it secretly – choose the option “Quietly watch it” to increase the level of trust.
The second level of trust with Klyaksa in ZZZ
Order “The War of the Abyss Needs Support”
When you reach a trust level of a little more than half of level 1, go in the evening (or at night) to the same place where you first talked to Soldier 11 about Klyaksa. Here you will find the girl and the cat again – go to them. At the end, select the option “Pet” – Klyaksa will not mind, which will improve your relationship with her.
You'll decide that you need to buy some cat food. In the morning or afternoon, go to store 141 and talk to John and Roy, who will have an exclamation mark hanging over them. Then chat with Asker and buy Cat Canned Fish from him (2500 denni per can).
Now, as usual, at midnight, find Klyaksa in the alley behind the arcade club and feed her canned food, which will significantly increase the level of trust with her.
When to pet Klyaksa
You can find the kitty in the same locations listed above. At this stage, she will already be accustomed to your presence, so she will not run away if you approach her. At the same time, you will have two options: pet her or get a can of cat food (if available).
The choice depends on how exactly Blot meows when it meets you. The following options are possible:
- Meow… Meow-ow… (Maybe she…) – you should give her some canned food.
- Meow! Meow-ow… (Maybe she…) – you should definitely pet her.
- Meow… Meow-ya-yaow! (Maybe she…) – you should give her some canned food.
- Meow! Meow… Purr-Purr (Perhaps she…) – you should definitely pet her.
If you make a mistake, you will worsen your relationship with the cat, which will make you go through this stage even longer.
