While exploring the western part of South Valley, immediately after leaving Rosewater Park, players can head to Pete's Bowling Alley and find a locked safe with a combination lock in Silent Hill 2 Remake. To open it, you will need to find a note with the correct combination. In this guide, we will tell you where to find all of the specified items and what to do with them.
Pete's Bowling Alley Safe Puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake
First of all, we note that you will only be able to access the specified safe in “New Game +”, that is, on the first playthrough, you will not be able to open it, since it will be wrapped in red cloth, as shown in the screenshot below.
Important: We will add that you must do this before you open the safe in the Jacks Motel and go through the gate, since after this access to the bowling club will be closed.
Where to find a note with the code for the safe
After leaving the Blue Creek Apartment Complex, you will head to Rosewater Park, where you will find Maria. Exit the park area with her, then immediately turn right and run along Nathan Avenue to the very end until you find a crack that is impossible to pass through. There will be a corpse lying next to it. Go to it and pick up a note with the required code – 1887 (it will be the same for all difficulty levels).
Note: However, finding this piece of paper is not really necessary, as you can head straight to the bowling center and enter the correct combination without it.
Where to find the safe in Pete's Bowling Club
The building you need is also located in the northwestern part of the location. When you pass the Octantis gas station, where, by the way, you can find the jack lever, turn right, and you will immediately see the corresponding establishment and a sign with a pin.
Go inside, go through the double doors ahead, and then immediately turn left and you will see a safe in one of the cells of the rack, behind the counter. Go to it and interact with it, then simply enter the numbers: 1887.
Inside you will find a Rusty Key. You will need this item to open the small box in the Brookhaven Hospital garden, which in turn is required to unlock the secret ending Bliss.
