In Honkai: Star Rail, Heavenly Ambrosia is a kind of in-game currency that operates in the Amphoraeus territory and is needed to increase the level of the Chalice of Tides, receiving various rewards in return, including the Shadow of Memory. In this guide, we will show you all the ways to get Celestial Ambrosia and tell you where exactly you can spend it.
How to Get Celestial Ambrosia in XSR
According to the game description, this is the world currency of Amphoreus, so it can only be mined and spent on the marked planet. This is a wonderful drink that is used as an offering to the titans. It is highly recommended not to drink it alone. Below we will indicate all the existing methods of obtaining this material.
Exploration Missions
In short, these are the quests of the Amphoreus story arc, for completing each of which you can get a significant amount of this world currency. At the moment, only the following quest chains are available for completion:
- Tales of the Flame-Chasing Heroes
Adventure Missions
A relatively simple and quite profitable way to earn Celestial Ambrosia, since most side quests can give you 200 units of currency at once. However, at the moment, only a few tasks with the corresponding reward can be completed on the planet. All of them are listed in our separate guide.
Secrets and Exploration
One of the more time-consuming ways to earn Celestial Ambrosia, as these secret mini-quests and activities are often not marked on the map or in the quest log. Plus, some of them require collecting and finding certain objects in different locations. In a separate guide, we have shown all the secret quests in Amphoreus, including:
- Buzzing Secrets: Flaw in Light – you will receive 60 Celestial Ambrosia.
- Buzzing Secrets: Paradox of the Speeder – you will receive 60 Celestial Ambrosia.
- Buzzing Secrets: Golden Adventure – you will receive 60 Celestial Ambrosia.
We also recommend that you open achievements, since ambrosia is often given out as part of this process. As for activities, these include:
- Finding Janus Horses – you will receive 15 heavenly ambrosia.
- Finding and activating the Holy Flame will give you 15 Celestial Ambrosia.
- Collecting Nymphs of Creation and giving them to the Seamstresses will give you 200 Celestial Ambrosia.
- Solving the Riddles of the Lions of Truth will give you 15 Celestial Ambrosia.
- Finding the Fire of Georios will give you 15 Celestial Ambrosia.
Chests
We advise you to take up the exploration of all the locations of the planet of eternity, since on its territory you can find a considerable number of chests, in which, in addition to star jades, you can find heavenly ambrosia.
At the time of writing, over a hundred chests could be found in Amphoreus, thereby obtaining at least several hundred units of ambrosia. In a separate guide, we demonstrated the location of all the chests in this region.
Puzzles and Riddles
There are a large number of all kinds of riddles on the territory of Amphoreus, for solving which you will receive not only star jades and pumping materials, but also heavenly ambrosia. We have indicated their location and solution in a separate guide. At the moment, the following puzzles are present on the planet of eternity:

Object Restoration
When walking around the locations of Amphoreus, you can find a lot of destroyed columns, statues, obelisks, pedestals and other objects. You can restore them with the Prayer of Oronis (the “Space” key). In this case, for the first restoration of the item, you will often be given 5 units of ambrosia.
How to spend heavenly ambrosia in HSR
This currency can currently only be used in one place – at the Tidal Bowl, located in the Vortex of Creation location, which you will gain access to during the story quest “O guest from afar, hear the prayers of this world.” The pictures below show its exact location.
Interact with the bowl and then select the “Enter the Gift of the Tides” option to open the Celestial Ambrosia offering menu.
Rewards for leveling up the Chalice of the Tides
By collecting certain amounts of this currency, you will level up the Chalice of the Tides and receive various rewards. At the moment (patch 3.0) it can be increased to level 20, thereby receiving as a reward two Shadows of Memory (eidolons for the Ice Pathfinder), Eyes Hidden in the Sky (a special device that helps in finding chests on Amphoreus), the Beginning of Dawn wallpaper, as well as a lot of star jades and pumping materials.
If you use all the methods of earning heavenly ambrosia listed above, you will be able to accumulate enough to upgrade the Chalice of Tides to 20th level and receive all possible rewards.
