Chain Breaker is a bow from the Natlan crafted weapon collection, which is good for DD and sub-DD from the Pyro region, thanks to its attack increase and its passive. In this guide, we will tell you where you can find a diagram for it, how to upgrade it, and who this weapon might suit.
How to get Chain Breaker in Genshin Impact
This bow will only be released in version 5.0, so there is no reliable information yet on how to find or buy blueprints for its creation. But it can be assumed that the mechanics of their extraction will be similar to those in the last two regions of the game, Fontaine and Sumeru, where we received diagrams for crafting weapons in exchange for collected items.
Unfortunately, getting The Chain Breaker is not available from the “Going to the Land of Pyro!” web event, as it is not in the lineup of free weapons that could be won from that event.
How to Craft the Chain Breaker
To craft it, you will need the following resources:
- A new, unique to Natlan blank – the Borderlands Bow blank (mined in the Punishment Dungeons of Natlan).
- 50 Condensing Crystals – an ore that can be found in the Hydro and Pyro regions.
- 50 White Iron Fragments.
- 500 Mora.
To fully awaken the bow, you will need to create four more copies of it, so you should stock up on all the necessary materials for crafting.

Who is suitable for Chainbreaker
Chainbreakerhas a rather unusual passive that makes it somewhat irrelevant to existing playable archers, so it can be assumed that it was created as an alternative weapon option for one of the upcoming Natlan characters, most likely Chaska, who would benefit from the elemental mastery increase due to her anemo element, and the attack power increase would be useful for her as a powerful damage dealer.
Character | Benefits |
---|---|
Gan Yu | The Cryo Archer loves attack power, so Chain Breaker can be a good budget alternative for her, especially in teams with different elements for activating the weapon's passive skill, such as national and teams that play off of Melt. |
Fischl | With the advent of the Dendro element in the game, Electro began to go hand in hand with Elemental Mastery. The bow's passive will be useful for the Princess of the Night in squads that use her as a support/sub-DD for Dendro characters, the main thing is that there are no other Electro characters in the team. |
Tignari | A good budget alternative for the Forest Guardian, who needs Elemental Mastery due to his Dendro Element, but also relies on his attack power. |
Tartaglia | This bow can be useful for the Harbinger as well as Gan Yu, if you assemble a team for him under steam, where he can show himself well with Chain Breaker, which can be a good alternative to Rusty Bow. The increase in elemental mastery from the passive will benefit him in this case. |
Aloy | A heroine who is rarely remembered, but Chainbreaker could be very useful for her. If you have a collab huntress, the attack power and elemental mastery will only benefit one of the most unusual characters in the game and help diversify the gameplay. |
How to play with Chainbreaker
To fully utilize the weapon, you need to activate its passive with a fairly simple condition – you need to either have as many Natlan characters as possible in the team, or characters of a different element from the owner of the Chainbreaker so that the bow can buff the attack power and elemental mastery of the owner. And although this bow is not a must-have for most archers in the game right now, it may soon become the best budget alternative for some of the new Pyro region archers.
