In Zenless Zone Zero, Chapter 2: Interlude is an intermediate chapter of the main storyline, during which you will have to get acquainted with new game mechanics and again increase the reputation of the proxy by raising the level of Internot and passing a new test. Walkthrough of the quest “Chapter 2: Interlude” in ZZZ
How to start the quest
It starts automatically once you complete the quest chain “Call from the depths of the cavern?..” To do this, you will need to talk to Kolyada a few days later, and then sleep on the bed after talking to your sister/brother. The next morning, a certain Roland will contact you by Knock-knock, who will tell you about the new activity. You will also unlock the first part of Agent Nekomata's story, “Cat and Mouse 1”.
Regular Clearing and Drive Discs
So, head to Post Scott by car, and then talk to Roland. He'll tell you about Master Discs and the ability to get Drive Discs in a new type of challenge called “Regular Clearing” that requires you to fight various elite enemies. Complete one battle.
After leaving the training menu, teleport to Sixth Street and meet a girl named Elfie standing in front of the music store. After chatting with her, enter the “Bard's Needle”. Here you can buy new drive discs or dismantle unnecessary “artifacts”.
Increase Your Reputation
After getting to know the local “relic” system, return to the video rental store and talk to your sister/brother. She will tell you that you need to increase your reputation. To do this, you will need to reach Internot level 30 and collect 100 units of observation data.
The first task is easiest to complete by farming materials in the Combat Simulation Hall, and to gain the second parameter, you need to complete various secondary orders. The fastest way to complete combat missions is to simply fight various enemies. You can also take on tasks related to the Zero Cave.
Expert Challenge
When you reach Internot level 27, your brother/sister will talk to you at the end of the day. Next, relax on the couch. In the morning, you decide to meet Ophelia at Scott Post. Go to the indicated location and chat with the girl. Doing so will unlock Expert Challenge challenges, which involve fighting bosses you've previously defeated in story quests.
As a reward, you will receive a variety of high-dimensional data that is necessary for pumping the Proficiencies of certain agents. Choose any boss and deal with him. Then return home and talk to your brother/sister again. After that, you will again need to work on increasing the level of Internet and collecting data.
Proxy Path II
Once you've completed the above conditions, meet the Shepherd, who will still be sitting at a table near the coffee shop. Chat with him to receive a reputation boost order called “Proxy's Path II”. Return to the video rental store, interact with the HDD system, and select the appropriate mission in the “Main Line”.
Note that you will face a quest of the “Catastrophe” difficulty. To complete it, you need characters of at least level 30 with the Electro attribute (however, heroes of other elements will do). They must also have pumped up amplifiers and skills. Take a suitable banba for them. You can see good teams in our squad guide.
To get the highest score, you will need to complete the battle in less than 3 minutes and 30 seconds, so defeat the enemies as quickly as possible. After the challenge starts, immediately run forward and go down to the arena on the lift. First, you will have to fight the Attack Gunner, who is only vulnerable to Electro attacks and is resistant to fire. Plus, he has a pretty big health bar. Stun the enemy as quickly as possible to then use a chain of attacks.
Once you've dealt with him, the next enemy will appear – Heavy Raider MKII, who is also vulnerable to Electro and resistant to Fire. This enemy often puts up a shield of plates in front of him, so it's best to attack him from behind. He also sometimes fires a flamethrower. If the enemy has created a shield (the health bar turns blue), then the fastest way to remove it is with Electro strikes.
In the third battle, you will face Typhon the Crusher, who is vulnerable to Electro and resistant to Fire. He is a huge mech that uses a variety of melee and ranged attacks. Use Perfect Assist and Dodge to deliver powerful counterattacks. By the way, it is recommended to save the ult for this fight.
After increasing your proxy reputation, talk to 18 to find out where Belle went. Then go out to the parking lot and talk to your sister. This will complete the task. There is no reward for this. You will also gain access to the next mission, “Chapter 2 Insert Story: Mission Impossible”.
