Hero constellations in Genshin Impact: what they give and how to get consts
Constellations are a system additional enhancements, which is revealed as you receiverepeated copies of the character. Each hero has a set of 6 stars, to fully activate which you need to get this character seven times – one to unlock the hero himself and six to unlock all buffs.
In the community, such enhancements are called “consts” (from the English constellation) and are designated by the letter “C” with the addition of a serial number. For example, the wording “C6 Bennett” means that the character has 6 stars activated in the constellation.
Each star provides its own unique bonus: from increasing damage and mechanics to changing the skill set in rotation. At the same time, all constellations have a general rule – stars 5 and 3 always unlock the level limit for ults and E-shki by +3 points, which significantly increases the value of the entire progression even for those who do not collect “C6” heroes.
Each duplicate hero (until all 6 are active) automatically turns into the resource “Luck[name of hero]”, necessary for opening new stars in his constellation.
How to unlock character constellations
Let's immediately mention that the only full-fledged character without the ability to get constellations is the cryo archer Aloy. It was a gift as part of a collaboration with PlayStation, is no longer available and initially had no constellations at all (the same goes for Mannequins from the Astral Reach).
Prayer Banners
The main source of constellations is the drop of repeats from banners, divided into 2 types:
- Inevents The probability of getting a certain list of heroes (1st leg and 3 epics) is always increased. Every 10 throws, at least a 4★ hero or weapon will arrive, but if it is not one of those shown on the banner, the next win of the same value will definitely be from the list. The legendary presented on the banner arrives in about 90 spins, and if the “wrong” character appears, a guarantor is activated, giving a 100% chance of getting it in the same 90 attempts (in extreme cases, 1 copy of a limited 5★ character can cost up to 180 spins);
The list of available heroes changes with each banner, but they are all repeated, so the missing constellations can be collected in the future.
- In standard bannersthe chance of winning a lega is divided between 17 heroes and weapons, so the probability of getting what you want is several times lower, and is also limited to a fixed list of characters. For epics, this probability is even less significant, since there are much more violets (weapons and heroes) than 5★ drops.
A third type of banner periodically appears in the game – “Prayers of the Chronicles” (regional), from which you can also get copies of heroes. We talked in more detail about its mechanics and guarantors in a separate guide.
Rogue Luck
Having knocked out all 6 constellations on the hero, you will begin to receive an improved version of Luck – “Rogue Luck”. This incredibly rare and labor-intensive material is necessary for leveling up to level 100, which is described in detail in our separate guide.
Constellations as a gift for the event
Temporary game events sometimes they also spoil us with free copies of characters. However, this is not the most reliable method, because such rewards appear extremely rarely, plus they usually give not the most useful epic heroes. Only the Sea Lantern Festival can boast of greater generosity – at the annual festival, Li Yue is regularly given a choice from a whole list of 4★ heroes.

Paimon Store
Two 4★ are available monthly in the Paimon in-game store heroes that can be purchased for Star Shine (cashback from banner spins). One constellation costs 34 resource units, but you can only purchase 1 copy of each hero. This method will be useful for those who want to achieve maximum leveling of starting characters who very rarely drop out of prayer banners (Kaye, Amber and Lisa).
Free Star Shine
When a duplicate appears character, you will receive not only “Luck” for opening constellations, but also Free Star Shine – a resource that can then be spent in the Paimon Store to purchase monthly updated epic heroes, prayers and rare materials.
For a 4★ copy of a character, 2 shines are awarded, and for a 5★ copy – 10. When the hero’s constellations are completely open, instead of the usual “Luck” they give out 1 Wandering, and the amount of Star shine increases to 25 units.
Long Path of Perfection
Let’s summarize the above methods by mentioning the periodic event “Long Path of Perfection”: by completing daily and weekly tasks, the player fills the progress bar and eventually receives a free constellation for one of the selected limited 5★ heroes. The event rotation is updated every 2 versions, allowing you to gradually strengthen your heroes without additional costs. How to unlock the Traveler constellations
Constellations on GG cannot be obtained through prayers and store purchases. To activate them, you need special “Memory” resources, which are issued for game progress: completing story quests, increasing RP, improving Archon Statues, or exchanging them in souvenir shops. Each element of the Traveler uses its own type of Memory, and all the methods for obtaining them are collected in the table below:

How to activate hero constellations
You can unlock buffs directly from the hero’s menu: open the “Constellation” tab, select the next unlocked node and click “Activate” Constellations are opened strictly in order: you cannot skip over a stage or select only the node you like.
Before opening it, you should carefully read the description of the constations – some of them can change the character’s gameplay, and such changes are not suitable for all players.
How to activate the Traveler constellations
If we are talking about constellations GG, then before activation you need to change the element – go to the statue of the region of interest and select the option “Resonate with…”. Also, do not forget to check the options for obtaining constellations in the table via the paragraph above.
Is it worth knocking out 6 constellations for the hero
The decision to hunt for constellations – a purelypersonal choice of each player. Although the most noticeable increase in power usually comes from the last const, getting a full set of constellations from a 5★ character is extremely expensive, especially for F2P players – you will have to save up resources for a long time or skip other banners. Note: Let's give one piece of advice – in most cases, opening C6 from characters is not profitable, because for the same money you could get 6 new characters (or 3 heroes with C1) from a new region, which is often a more profitable solution. Naturally, we do not take into account the file factor here.
The situation with epics is no easier – there is no guarantor for them, so the necessary copies may appear less often than expected. However, over time, most 4★ characters themselves reach full constellations thanks to regular banner drops or purchasing copies in the in-game store. Therefore, it is not necessary to chase every duplicate – progress will gradually come anyway.
