When you go to explore the ancient ruins in the north of Ochkanatlan in Genshin Impact, you will find a locked precious chest on the cliff, and next to it is a part of a ring with an engraving. If you find the missing piece, return it to the top, and activate the inscription using the Ictomysaur's skills, you will gain access to a treasure room that may drop a piece of Scarlet Obsidian.
In this guide, we will tell you how to find the cliff with the precious chest in Ochkanatlan, find and lift up the part of the Ancient Ring with an engraving, and then activate it to remove the lock from the treasury.
How to activate the Ancient Ring with an engraving near the precious chest in the north of Ochkanatlan
Move to the upper teleporter in the northern half of the main palace of Ochkanatlan, and then jump down from the nearest edge. In flight, look at the sheer wall to see a ledge with a chest (see top screenshots). To unlock the treasure room, you will have to unlock the switch on the bridge, solve the puzzle with the guardians of the mysterious spring by lifting the missing part of the ring with their help, and only then activate the engraving with the cryosaur echolocation skill.
Unlock the switch on the eastern half of the bridge
Go down to the pavement on which the golden disks are lying, and possess all the ictomisauruses in turn. This is especially true for the pair of dragons sitting near the blocked switch on the eastern half of the bridge. Once all the Saurians are gone, the device will be unlocked.
Deliver the ring piece upstairs
Activate the switch, then help the guards deliver the ring element. The cargo is in the prism, and to move it, you need to press the action “Switch” at the moment when the nearest moving disk approaches. During the switch, the guards release a stream of energy that attracts the cargo. Repeat the action only three times, and the fourth guard will fly to the ring with the part on his own.
Activate the Ancient Engraved Ring
To quickly climb the cliff, aim the Ictomysaur's echolocation skill (holding down the left mouse button) at the small purple arrow under the ledge – it will buff the jump range once. Then hold down the space bar and climb to the ledge with the chest, and then use echolocation again, only this time on the ring. Wait until it glows scarlet – and the chest will be freed from its shackles.
In the precious treasury you will find: 10 Primogems, 3 Pyro Seals, Mora, experience books and ore, random materials for account development, and also (with a small chance) a piece of Scarlet Obsidian.
