In Honkai: Star Rail, Chorus of Balance: The Great Septimius is Dominic, one of the incarnations of Xipe, and a weekly boss you fight during the story mission and Echoes of War. It drops Lost Echoes of Unity of Desires, which are necessary for leveling up some characters.

How to open access to Great Septimius: Chorus of Balance

You will first encounter this boss in the Exploration mission called “Beauty and the Beast” from the new questline. In this quest you will have to defeat a weakened version of the enemy – the fight with him will be less difficult, and it is partially described in the quest walkthrough.

After this, Echoes of War: A Tribute to the Courtesy of Mortal Dreams will be available to you, thanks to which you will be able to challenge Dominic again at any time. You can find him on the territory of the Great Theater of Penaconia, located on the planet of festivities.

Characteristics of the Great Septimius: Chorus of Balance

You can complete the battle with Dominic on one of 6 difficulty levels – depending on This will change the characteristics of the enemy. The picture below demonstrates its parameters at the maximum level 82 (note that we are talking about the normal version of the enemy, not a weakened one) and the progression of attributes.

As for the enemy's vulnerabilities, he is susceptible to electrical, fire and imaginary attacks. At the same time, he has average (20%) resistance to wind, physical, ice and quantum types of damage. More detailed information can be viewed in the image below.

It should be noted that it has a 40% resistance to effects, that is, if your character has a 100% chance of being hit by the effects of a skill, then it will only be cast on Septimius the Great with a 60% chance. He also has full Control Resistance, so catching him in Imprisonment or Freeze will not work.

Let's add that this boss will regularly summon Echoes of Old Dreams (in the first and second phases). These ordinary mobs are vulnerable to fire, electric and imaginary types of damage. At the same time, the damage dealt to them will be received by the Choir of Balance. More details about their attributes can be found in the picture below.

Recommended commands

Given the characteristics of the Great Septimius and Echoes of Old Dreams, we strongly advise you to take fire, electrical and/or imaginary damage dealers into your squad. It is also desirable that they be able to inflict significant damage to several enemies at once, since you will almost always have to fight a group of opponents at once, and the faster you can penetrate the vulnerabilities of the echoes, the better. So be sure to add Acheron, Himeko, Serval, Moon Eater, Kafka and/or Jing Yuan to your group if you have them.

The boss and the creatures he summons deal a lot of damage, so you should definitely use a good shieldman and/or healer. A good option would be: Aventurine, Baylu, Gallagher or Locha, as they can not only protect and heal allies, but also penetrate the vulnerabilities of enemies. If they are not at hand, then you can use any other healers and defenders.

Note: In the third phase, Dominic will use an extremely powerful attack that ignores defense. There is a good chance that most of your characters will simply die with one such blow. The accumulated shield may not be enough, so we recommend giving priority to shield warriors who can provide additional protection to the entire group at once (Cheetah, Aventurine or Fu Xuan).
