Main features of Clorinda
How to get Clorinda
In the first phase of update 4.7, this swordsman will appear in the banner, which will increase its drop rate. In the future, it will be possible to obtain this character only with the help of Prayers. Unfortunately, HoYoverse has never held an event where the reward would be a 5-star fighter, so you definitely won’t be able to get a duelist for free.

Advantages and disadvantages of Clorinda
Using her unique abilities, this heroine can inflict significant Electro damage to both single and and multiple targets while on the battlefield. Its advantages also include:
- A powerful hypercarry, capable of being on the battlefield most of the time without any problems, inflicting Electro damage on enemies thanks to the appropriate infusion, which significantly simplifies the creation of elemental reactions.
- Uses not only a sword, but also a musket in battle, which allows her attack enemies even from a medium distance, avoiding many enemy attacks.
- It goes well with characters whose elements interact with Electro, especially with Dendro heroes, since the activation of Electro reactions increases the damage from normal attacks and the heroine’s ulti.
- It has high survivability, since it not only has a relatively high base value health, but is also able to heal herself independently after using an elemental skill. For this reason, there is less need for a healer or shielder than other damage dealers. The vacated slot can be filled with another buffer or sub-DD.
- Her gameplay is based on the Life Debt, which she can independently assign to herself. Despite the apparent complexity of this mechanic, the gameplay for Clorinda is relatively simple, so even beginners can easily get used to it.
- Shots from a musket have a piercing effect, that is, bullets cause damage to all enemies standing in front of the duelist, and not just those who are directly in front of her. This makes it easier to destroy large enemy groups.
- Clorinda receives a bonus to her crit chance when elevated and the “Lawful Reward” passive is active, so less attention can be paid to this characteristic, trying mainly to increase critical damage and attack power.
- Elemental explosion is relatively inexpensive and is not the main thing Clorinda's source of damage, so you don't have to waste resources on increasing energy recovery, activating the ultimate only once every two rotations.
- Despite having only one sword that uses the Life Debt mechanic, Clorinda has a fairly large selection of weapons, including There are also good free options.
- Makes it easier to farm Fontaine's local curiosities thanks to its passive.
However, it is still impossible to call Clorinda an ideal character, since she also has her own cons:
- It is not yet known exactly how the Dark-Tearing Flame passive works. It is possible that 3 different elemental reactions are required to accumulate buff stacks. In this case, you will have to carefully select characters for the squad with the heroine. It will be easiest to play in packs with Dendro and Hydro heroes.
- During the action of an elemental skill, all outgoing healing from other characters or food does not work, but turns into Life Debt. You will have to remove the heroine from this state if you are not sure that you will have time to cure her with Pierce of the Night.
- It is highly advisable to unlock at least the first Constellation for her, which can significantly increase her damage.
Clorinda’s Abilities
When performing a normal attack “Oath of the Twilight Court”, the heroine performs up to 5 It quickly swings the sword, and when charged, fires a fan-shaped shot from the musket, spending a small amount of stamina. While performing a fall kick, she quickly rushes to the ground, hitting all enemies in her path, and after landing, she deals area damage.
Explanation: The usual, unremarkable attacks for swordsmen that you You are unlikely to use it outside the effect of an elemental skill.
After using the elemental skill “Hunt for Darkness,” the heroine switches to Night Watch mode, starting to attack enemies not only with a blade, but also with a musket. Her normal strikes transform into Furious Hunt musket shots, dealing Electro damage that cannot be countered by other infusions. At the same time, she loses the ability to use charged attacks.
Depending on the Life Debt indicator, Frantic Hunt attacks have different effects: when it is higher than or equal to 100% of the heroine’s maximum health, the duelist fires a musket, and if lower, the shots increase Life Debt in proportion to her maximum HP, and bullets can pierce opponents.
The elemental skill turns into Night Pierce, when activated, Clorinda dashes forward and deals Electro damage (considered the damage of normal attacks). The effect of this attack also depends on the current value of Life Debt:
- If it is 0%, then the heroine simply dashes.
- If it is less than 100% of maximum health, then The heroine regenerates HP in proportion to her Life Debt, and the damage and damage radius of the subsequent Pierce of the Night increases.
- If it is equal to or greater than 100% of maximum health, the swordswoman will activate Night's Pierce: Pact, increasing HP recovery and increasing the damage and range of subsequent Night's Pierce.
When Clorinda is in Night's Watch mode, she is not affected by healing from dishes or allies, as they transform into Life Debt. This condition ends as soon as the duelist leaves the battlefield. Let's add that Furious Hunt shots that hit enemies will periodically trigger the Blade of Stormy Waters, dealing damage to Ushii.
Explanation: When the Night's Watch is activated, pressing the normal strike button results in a musket shot, and the skills – I will fall out with a blade. In this case, both attacks will deal Electro damage. Shots will give 35% of Life Debt from the heroine's maximum health until its value exceeds 100%, and swinging a sword will remove all Life Debt, cause damage and heal the swordswoman.
So you need to make sure to perform three musket shots (normal attacks) to gain =>100% Life Debt, and then lunge with your blade (elemental skill) to deal maximum damage with increased area of effect and receive the most healing. In 7.5 seconds (the duration of the Night Watch) you will be able to complete about 4-5 combinations.
Ignore the relatively low multipliers for these attacks, as they increase significantly when activating the Dark Rending Flame passive, which we'll talk about in more detail below. In general, it is the E-shka that is Clorinda's main source of damage.
The explosion of the “Last Rays of Light” element allows the heroine to receive Life Debt in proportion to her maximum health, and then inflict huge Electro damage in the area.
Explanation: The ult can deal quite a lot of damage (hits 5 times), especially when paired with a passive, but it still won’t replace the E-shka, so it will simply be a nice addition to Clorinda’s damage. You don’t have to try to use it every rotation and don’t waste precious resources on increasing energy recovery.
Starting from the 7th level, it immediately gives 102% of Life Debt, so in rotation it can replace 3 regular hits, that is, after using it during the action of the Night Watch, it is recommended to immediately press the skill button.
It is also impossible not to mention the extremely useful passive talents of the judicial duelist. The first one is called “The Darkness-Tearing Flame.” It increases the damage from normal attacks and ults of the heroine for 15 seconds by 20% of her attack power when a team member activates Electro Reaction on an enemy. The bonus can stack up to three times, with a separate timer for each buff. Maximum damage can increase to 1800 units.
Explanation: Passive works in Night's Watch mode and can provide a 60% increase in damage multiplier. Consider a normal rotation that includes approximately 28 attacks (5 lunges, 18 shots and an ult): the increase in their damage will be 1680%. Thus, this talent almost doubles the total damage from one Night's Watch. Requires 3000 units of strength to receive the maximum bonus.
However, all this will only work if you collect 100% Life Debt before performing a lunge and are able to close Electro reactions in time by taking the right characters into your squad. If any reactions are suitable, then there should be no big problems with this, but if they have to be different, then this will be noticeably more difficult.
The second – Lawful Reward – increases the chance of a critical hit by 10% for 15 seconds when decreasing or increasing Life Debt, if its value is equal to or above 100%. The bonus can stack up to two times and each buff has a separate time counter. In the Night's Watch state, the percentage of healing converted to Life Debt increases to 100%.
As for the third passive, Night's Watch Loot, it simply shows the location of the nearest Fontaine curiosities on the mini-map.Â
Constellations of Clorinda
To open them, you need to accumulate the character’s Luck, which is given out when duplicates of the heroine appear, which, of course, is random. Given the low chance of getting 5-star characters, you will need to spend a lot of time and money to unlock all the constellations. However, even without them, Clorinda performs well as a main DD.
If you still decide to try your luck, then we recommend that you stop at C1 and C2, which will significantly enhance the duelist’s normal attacks in the Night’s Watch mode. However, its gameplay will not change in any way, so you won’t have to get used to the new rotation. Let's add that if you have a choice between Constellation 1 and a signature weapon, then we advise you to choose the first option, since it will be more useful.
Here is the full list of constellations:
- < li>And so I pass the curtain of shadow from the candle – in the Night Watch state, when damage is dealt with a normal attack, the Shadow of the Night Watch appears, which carries out two joint attacks that deal Electro damage in the amount of 30% of the heroine’s attack power. The effect occurs once every 1.2 seconds.
- And now we are face to face with the danger of a long night – enhances the passive “Flame Tearing the Darkness”. It now increases damage from normal hits and ultimates by 30% and increases resistance to interruption by 70% when reaching 3 levels of the effect. Maximum damage can increase to 2700 units.
- I pledge to remember the oath of daylight – the skill level increases by three. Maximum level: 15th. A very useful constellation that significantly increases the heroine’s overall damage.
- Remember Tears, Life and Love – for 1% of the heroine’s current Life Debt, increases the damage from her ultimate by 2%. Maximum it can grow by 200%.
- Remember that dawn will come – the level of the ult increases by three. Maximum level: 15th.
- Therefore I Will Never Lose Hope – Increases Critical Chance by 10% and Critical Damage by 70% for 12 seconds after activating an Elemental Skill. When the heroine is about to be hit by an enemy or she uses Night Pierce: Pact, a Shadow of a Bright Candle appears, which deals Electro damage to the enemy equal to 200% of Clorinda's attack power. The effect can occur no more than once every 1 second. In Night Watch mode, the duelist takes 80% less damage, and her resistance to interruption increases.
How to play as Clorinda
As you probably already understood, there is nothing complicated in the duelist's gameplay, even despite the use of the Life Debt mechanic, which is still new to many players. Her gameplay is built around an elemental skill and the Night Watch mode, during which she receives Electro Infusion and can place a Life Debt on herself.
Initially, Life Debt is 0%, and you will need to make sure to bring it to at least 100%. This can be done by performing three shots (regular attacks) or activating an ultimate (if it is pumped to level 7 and above). If you have a healer on your team, you can use his healing ability to reduce the number of simple hits to two.
Note: Don't forget that musket shots can pierce enemies (when Life Debt is below 100%) and deal increased damage as a result, so when fighting large groups of enemies, try to stand so that the opponents stood in a row.
After accumulating Life Debt, you need to reset it by simply pressing the elemental skill button. Thus, you will deal increased damage and heal the heroine. Then simply continue to perform these steps in a circle.
Also remember about the first passive, which gives a bonus to damage when closing Electro reactions. If we are talking about three different reactions, then it will be easiest to fulfill this condition with Stimulation, since it includes two combinations: Aggravation and Growth, and they can be closed simultaneously.
In general, the optimal Clorinda rotation would look like this:
- Use the abilities of supports and secondary damage dealers working from the pocket to buff the main damage dealer and apply elemental statuses to enemies.
- Select Clorinda and use her ult when ready to deal damage, immediately gain Life Debt and cover possible Electro reactions, which will increase the damage from normal attacks.
- Activate an elemental skill to enable Night Watch mode. If you used your ult before, you can immediately use E-shka again to perform the Night Pierce: Pact attack. Otherwise, first make 3 normal attacks (musket shots), and only then activate the skill.
- While the Night's Watch is active (7.5 seconds), perform a combination of E-shka and three normal attacks for about 4 -5 times. Then start the rotation from the beginning.
- If you do not invest resources in pumping up energy recovery, then most likely you will only be able to perform an elemental explosion once every 2 rotations. Otherwise, use it in every rotation.
Best builds for Clorinda
Best weapons
When choosing a one-handed sword, priority should be given to those copies that which increase critical damage, critical hit chance, attack power and elemental damage. The table below presents the most interesting options.
< tr>
Name and rarity | Characteristics (level 1-90) | Passive ability |
---|---|---|
< img class="aligncenter" src="/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/klorinda-v-genshin-impact-gajd-na-luchshie-bildy-f34afe1.webp" alt="Klorinda in Genshin Impact: guide to best builds" /> Absolution (5 stars) | Critical damage: 9.6%~44 ,1% Base attack: 44~542 | Critical Damage: 9.6%~44.1% Â Base Attack: 44~542 Â Increases critical damage by 20-40%. As Life Debt increases, the damage dealt by the blade's owner increases by 16-32% for 6 seconds. The bonus is cumulative up to three times. Clorinda's signature weapon, which significantly increases her critical damage, which will significantly simplify the further selection of stats in artifacts. She can easily activate the second part of the passive, which will further increase her overall damage. However, with all the advantages of the sword, it is not significantly ahead of all other options, so if you have other worthy blades listed below, we advise you to take C1 instead of the signature. |
Haran geppaku futsu (5 stars) | Crit chance. hits: 7.2~33.1% Base attack: 46~608 | Increases the damage bonus to all elements by 12~24 percent. When elemental skills are activated by other team members, the sword owner receives the 1st level of Spike Wave. The maximum you can get is 2 levels. The effect occurs once every 0.3 seconds. If the hero uses his elemental ability, then all Spike Waves are spent, and each level increases damage from normal attacks by 20~40 percent for 8 seconds. Crete. Clorinda's chance is useful, but not as much as critical damage, so it will have to be gained from artifacts. In general, this sword lags behind the signature by about 5-6% if you regularly activate the passive (which will not be difficult), and the crit chance. hits will not exceed 100%. |
< /p> Mist Cutter (5 stars) | Critical damage: 9.6~44.1% Â Base attack: 48~674 | Gives a bonus to elemental damage of 12~24 percent. When dealing elemental damage with normal attacks or an elemental explosion, special seals are issued that provide up to an additional 56 percent bonus to elemental damage. In terms of effectiveness, it is equal to the previous blade, and sometimes even surpasses it, since it is easier to balance crits with the Fog. Overall, this is an excellent sword, has a high attack and has an extremely useful passive, which Clorinda can easily activate thanks to Electro Infusion. |
Light of the Leaf Cut (5 stars) | Critical damage: 19.2~88.2% Â Base attack: 44~542 | Increases the chance of dealing critical damage by 4%. Normal hits that deal elemental damage increase damage from simple attacks and elemental skills by 120% of MS. After 28 activations of the effect or after 12 seconds, it will disappear. The bonus occurs once every 12 seconds. It is also easier to balance crits with it, since it increases both indicators, but it will be less useful than the previous blades, because its passive depends on elemental mastery . This sword will look best on Clorinda if she plays with Stimulation. |
Precious Pool (5 stars) | Critical hit chance: 9.6% ~44.1%   Base attack: 44-542 | Increases the hero’s health by 20%~40% and gives an attack bonus of 1.2 %~2.4% of the hero's maximum health. Again, you will have to make sure that the crit chance does not go beyond 100% when getting a crit. damage from artifacts. Gives a significant increase in attack power, which has a positive effect on Clorinda's overall damage. We do not advise you to try to increase the heroine's HP by sacrificing other characteristics that are more useful to the heroine. |
Uraku Misugiri (5 stars) | Critical damage: 19.2%~88.2% Â Base attack: 44~542 | Increases damage from normal attacks by 16-32%, and elemental skills by 24-48%. Additionally increases these effects by 100% for 15 seconds if the active hero deals Geo damage. Plus, the owner's protection increases by 20-40%. The second part of the passive on Clorinda will not work (if there are no Geo characters in the party), but this sword can still be a good option for her due to the increase in crit. damage and the strengthening of normal attacks. |
Black Sword (4 stars) | Crit chance. hit rate: 6~27.6% Base attack: 42~510 | Increases damage from normal and charged attacks by 20%. When critical damage is caused by these blows, health is restored in the amount of 60% of the attack value. The effect appears once every 5 seconds. When using it, you will get high crit without any problems. chance, so you will have to pay more attention to crit. damage when choosing artifacts. It will enhance normal attacks and restore the owner’s health, which in our case will increase the heroine’s Life Debt, and therefore she will have to fire fewer shots before attacking. Overall, it is the best 4-star sword for Clorinda, but it only drops in a paid BP. |
< p> Grand finale of the depths (4 stars) | Attack power: 6~ 27.6% Base attack: 44~565 | When using an elemental skill, ATK increases by 12~24% for 15 seconds. Plus, an Oath of Life is imposed in the amount of 25% of the wearer’s maximum health (can appear once every 10 seconds). After removing this tag, attack power increases by an additional 2.4~4.8% of the given HP (max. 150~300 units) for 15 seconds. The oath takes away the healing received by the hero. A good free option for Clorinda, who is about 25% behind signature at 5th Awakening. Thanks to the increase in attack power, the heroine's overall damage significantly increases, and her passive gives additional Life Debt. |
Dragon Roar (4 stars) | Attack power: 9%~41 .3% Base attack: 42~510 | Increases damage by 20-36% when fighting enemies who are under the influence of Electro or Pyro elements. Another good blade that increases Clorinda's overall damage thanks to a significant increase in her attack power. The passive will trigger regularly, since the heroine has Electro Infusion. |
Harbinger of Dawn (3 stars) | Critical Damage: 10.2%~46.9% Â Â Â Â Base Attack: 39-401 | Increases hit chance critical damage 14%~28% when health is above 90%. If you can keep Tiori at maximum health and don't take on characters that reduce the HP of allies (for example, Furina), then this sword with the 5th awakening can be a good option for the heroine. |
Best artifacts
As in the case of one-handed swords, we recommend taking artifacts that can increase crits and attack power, as well as enhance regular attacks. The table below shows the best options.
< tr>
< td rowspan="3">You can use sets of two incomplete sets if you have not yet been able to assemble complete sets with suitable characteristics.
< td>2 parts: increase damage from normal and charged attacks by 15%.
Artifacts | Bonuses | Benefits |
---|---|---|
Fragment of Harmonic Fantasies | 2 parts: increases attack power by 18%. 4 pieces: Increases damage dealt by the wearer by 18% for 6 seconds when Life Debt decreases or increases. The bonus stacks up to three times. | An ideal set for Clorinda, which significantly increases her damage (by 54%), since the set's passive will trigger almost constantly. |
Gladiator's End | 2 parts: increase attack power by 18%. 4 pieces: Increases damage from normal attacks by 35% when using one-handed, two-handed or polearm weapons. | A good alternative to the previous set, which significantly strengthens Clorinda, since she deals the main damage with ordinary attacks. In addition, it will be much easier to get artifacts with the necessary stats, because they drop from all elite bosses. So if you have a kit with ideal stats, then there is no point in farming the Fragment of Harmonic Fantasies. |
Echoes of offering | 2 pieces: Increases attack power by 18%. 4 pieces: Normal hits have a 36% chance to activate the Ritual of the Valley: Normal attack damage is increased by 70% of attack power. The bonus disappears 0.05 seconds after dealing damage with a normal attack. If a hit fails to activate this effect, the chance of its activation with the next hit increases by 20%. The chance to activate does not occur more than once every 0.2 sec. | Another effective alternative to Harmonic Fantasy Fragment, it allows you to increase Clorinda's attack power and enhance her normal attacks that deal the main damage to enemies. You can take it if you have more suitable stats and if your ping is below 100 (otherwise the second part of the passive will trigger with a large randomness). |
Thunderous Roar of Fury | 2 parts: increase Electro damage by 15%.< /p> 4 parts: increases damage from Overload, Superconductor, Charged and Vegetation reactions by 40%. Damage from Aggravation increases by 20%. If these reactions are activated, including Stimulation, the cooldown of the skill is reduced by 1 second. The bonus occurs no more than once every 0.8 seconds. | A good option if you plan to play from Stimulation. Allows you to use the E-shka more often, and, therefore, quickly switch to the Night's Watch state. |
Shimenawa's Memories | 2 parts: increases attack power by 18%.  4 pieces: Increases damage from normal, charged and falling strikes by 50% for 10 seconds, but costs 15 energy. The bonus does not reactivate for the specified time. | A good set that allows you to increase Clorinda's overall damage, but you will need to pump up energy recovery or use your ult much less often. |
Hunter of the Twilight Court | 2 pieces: increases damage from normal and charged strikes by 15%. 4 pieces: Â increases the chance of a critical hit by 12% for five seconds when the character's current health increases or decreases. The bonus is cumulative up to three times. | Can be equipped if Furina is present in the squad, but you will have to make sure that the crit chance does not exceed 100%. |
Gladiator's End | 2 parts: increase attack power by 18%. | |
< p> Thunderous Roar of Fury | 2 parts: increase Electro damage by 15%. | |
Hunter of the Twilight Court |
As for the main characteristics of artifacts, take the hourglass for attack%, cup (chalice) ) – for the Electro damage bonus, and the crown (hat) – for crit. chance/crit. damage in a ratio of 1 to 2. The priority for choosing secondary parameters is as follows: critical damage, energy recovery, attack% and critical chance.
If we talk about the optimal indicators of the heroine’s attributes, they look like this:< /p>
- Attack power: preferably 3000 units to fully realize the passive talent
- Critical hit chance: 60-70%
- Critical damage: 120-140%
- Energy recovery : at least 110-120%
Best commands for Clorinda
Clorinda can heal herself, so she doesn't need a healer or shield member in her party, but her allies may need one. In addition, a powerful pocket healer can help the duelist gain Life Debt faster, for example, not in 3 shots, but in only 2, which will allow her to perform more attacks in one Night's Watch action.
On the other hand Instead of a healer, you can take another buffer or sub-DD, which can give the team more damage than Clorinda’s additional attacks. So decide for yourself what is more important to you – increasing the survivability of the squad or increasing its overall damage.
Let's add that Clorinda is aimed at playing through Electro reactions due to her passive. It is not yet known whether she requires different reactions or one is enough. In the first case, the best option would be to build a team on Exacerbation or Vegetation, and in the second case, you can add Overload to this list (it is mandatory to have Chevreuse in the team). The table below shows all the optimal options.

How to improve skills
You will have to search and collect a wide variety of materials, namely:
- Teachings, instructions and philosophies about “Justice” – obtained on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays in the “Pale Forgotten Flower” dungeon.
- Alien Pearl, Alien Fragment, and Xenochrome Crystal – drop from Fontmer aliens, can be purchased with Starlight, or crafted through Alchemy.
- Eternal Amber – Dropped by the weekly boss Apep Oasis Guardian.
- Crown of Epiphany – can be obtained during events, as well as by upgrading the Sacred Sakura, the Permafrost Tree, the Tree of Dreams and the Lucin Fountain.
If we talk about the priority of leveling up talents, then first of all you should increase the heroine's elemental skill, and then take on the elemental explosion (at least to level 7). You don't need to level up regular attacks, since you will rarely use them outside of the skill anyway.
How to level up a character
Get ready to search and collect a large number of different materials. Their list and methods of obtaining are indicated below.
Vajrada Amethysts can be obtained from Electro Hypostasis, Dwalin, Ancient Geovishap, Azhdah, Manifestation of Thunder, and Electro Fern. They are also sold in the souvenir shop and drop from the Seahorse of the Thousand-Year Pearl, from which Fontmere's Horns can also be obtained. Darkstars are a local curiosity of Fontaine. We have indicated their locations in a separate guide.
