In Genshin Impact, Korundin is a local resource of Natlan, which is used in the preparation of local dishes and is used as a currency in some transactions. In this guide, we will tell you where you can find and buy Korundin, and how you can use it.
What is Korundin used for in Genshin Impact
Crafted weapons
Corundine is a very specific resource, which is marked as a kitchen ingredient in the game, technically, it is the crystalline fruits of a tree saturated with phlogiston. They are needed in jewelry, they can be used as currency. For 10 pieces of corundine, 10 cereal fruits and 10 condensing crystals, we can get a blueprint for the one-handed sword “Flute Escipal” from the blacksmith Alom.
Crafting recipes
Corundin is also used in cooking. For example, it is needed for the special cookies “Sparkling Gems”, which we can get after reaching the second level of reputation in the Children of the Echo tribe. These cookies are marked as a special dish, so it is unknown what stats they increase, if any.

Recommended Characters
You can collect these plants with any heroes, but if you plan to seriously farm them (that is, make not a 5-minute sortie, but arrange a real 30-40 minute hike), then we advise you to take several characters into the squad, which will allow you to significantly reduce the time of collecting this curiosity. All of them are listed in the table below.
Characters | Features |
---|---|

Ye Lan | Can very quickly cover both large and small distances in the absence of obstacles with the help of its elemental skill. |

Rosaria | The movement speed of team members increases by 10% in the dark (from 18:00 to 06:00) thanks to the heroine's passive skill “Path in the Night”. |
Dehya | Team members' movement speed increases by 10% during daylight hours (from 06:00 to 18:00) thanks to the heroine's passive skill “Solar Path”. |

Where to find corundin in Genshin Impact
The description of corundin says that these are crystalline trees that grow in areas with liquid phlogiston. Therefore, it is worth looking for them underground, near large accumulations of lava.
At the moment, there are only three such places in Natlan – under the Tepeacaque Slope, in the Phlogiston Mining Research Center and under the Toyek Streams. In total, 42 pieces of corundin can be found in these places, which are restored every 48 hours. Below we will tell you more about each of these places.
Note: Corundins grow very close to Phlogiston, which is very easy to fall into and lose a lot of HP, so it is recommended to take a good healer in the team to farm this resource.
Farming route 1
- Location: Under Tepeacaque Slope.
- Quantity: 4.
This location and teleport must be opened in the quest “Prepared for Trouble”, where it was necessary to fill the cave with phlogiston. From the teleportation point, fly to the lava clusters below until you see a large hole in the ground where you need to go down. We will find ourselves at the phlogiston lake. Use the soul torch to possess the yumkasaurus and cross the lava until we find ourselves on the shore of the lava river. Go upstream, there will be two corundine bushes near the waterfall.
Pharm route 2
- Location: Phlogiston Mining Research Center.
- Quantity: 12.
This location is not marked on the map. In this guide, we have described in detail how to get there and activate the teleportation point.
We go down from the teleport, where a pool of lava has spilled under the vats with phlogiston, there we find a bush of corundine. We run forward, behind the cells with the jumkasaurus two more bushes are waiting for us. Now we head to the left, near the half-sunken empty cell we find another corundine plant.
We return to the teleport and run along the pipes to the end, under one of them there will be two more corundine bushes.
Farming route 3
- Location: under Toyek Streams
- Quantity: 26.
Phlogiston Cave under Toyek Streams is unlocked during the quest “The Past Cannot Be Traced.”
From the teleporter, head back along the earthen corridor, turning into a coholasaurus, so that it is more convenient and safer to collect corundins growing everywhere on the shores of lava lakes. In this way we collect 8 mineral fruits.
Notice the small grotto with two baby coholasaurus, where you can find 2 more corundins.
Almost right before the exit from the cave where the pyro slimes are crawling, we find a bush of corundine.
We return to the teleporter and explore a large cave with phlogiston.
Right under the teleporter, under a small cliff, we see the bush we need.
On the upper lake from the cascade, where funny flame birds frolic, two more Korundins are waiting for us.
We go down and find 6 more corundins on the banks of the phlogiston rivers.
The last 4 corundins can be collected by climbing up at the very edge of the cave.
How to get corundins for free
Natlan Expeditions
You can send your characters on an expedition to the Waters of Ameyalco to bring you between 1 and 12 corundins. We recommend choosing the longest trek, lasting 20 hours. Note that you can send your heroes there from any adventurer's guild, but below we have shown the location of the Natlan office.
Where else can you find corundins
Somewhere in Natlan, there is an NPC who can give 4 corundins one-time for a dialogue with him, but there is not enough information about this yet.
Where to buy corundins
Ten pieces of corundin can be bought from the little worker of “Ahom Gems” Imix, who is in the Children of Echo tribe. Stocks are updated every week. Access to this store will open for you only after completing the quest “Tepetli's Dissonance”.
