The passage of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will take you a lot of time, since although we are talking only about an add-on, it has added a huge location to the game with its own storyline, consisting of many tasks and having several endings, some of which affect the main ending.
In addition, at a certain moment you will find yourself at a fork in the road, where your choice will determine exactly how the expansion story will develop further. In this guide, we will list all the story missions of Phantom Liberty and provide links to their detailed walkthroughs.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Walkthrough
All tasks are listed here, right up to the plot fork, where you have to decide which side to take. Choices in them, with the exception of the “Judgment Day” mission, have practically no impact on the main plot, so you can answer and act in these quests based on your own preferences and beliefs.
Let’s add that you can start playing “Phantom Freedom” after completing the “Human Factor” task and starting the third act. You can reach this plot point yourself, use an old save, or use the quick start in the main menu. We talked about this in more detail in a separate guide.
Unknown Land
The quest starts automatically after completing the above steps. A mysterious girl named Jay will contact you and ask you to save the US President in exchange for treatment. You will need to infiltrate the Dog City and witness the crash of a plane with the head of state on board. A detailed walkthrough of the task can be read in our separate guide.
Last flight
Get to the crash site of the airliner, deal with a bunch of thugs, and then find Rosalind Myers in the shuttle and protect her from a new wave of enemies who will take with them a real combat robot. A detailed walkthrough of the task can be read in our separate guide.
All the President's Men
After dealing with the opponents and taking Myers to a relatively safe place, talk to her, and then go to the abandoned building on Elizabeth Kress Street. To do this, you can steal a car standing nearby. Deal with new enemies, and then engage in battle with the huge robot Chimera, previously controlled by Jay. A detailed walkthrough of the task can be read in our separate guide.
Sleeper Agent
After dealing with the robot, chat with the president and take her out of the subway. Having reached the new shelter, restore power and talk with Myers again. Having solved the problem with netrunners, get in touch with secret agent Reed and tell him about the current situation.
When you take him to Rosalind, you will be able to draw up a new plan for further action. Here, by the way, you can finish the expansion ahead of schedule, expressing your reluctance to participate in this whole farce. A detailed walkthrough of the task can be read in our separate guide.
Old Wounds
Chat with the agent, who will inform you about the need to find Alex. Then go to the Moth Bar, located in the Shore Slums, and convince the girl to help you. Next, head to the Voodoo lair to talk with the Skater. Get out of the enemy base and talk to Reed again.
You will learn that Jay has found herself in the nets of the biggest big shot in Dog City, and is currently being held in the most protected place in the city – in Black Sapphire. It will be possible to enter there during the festive reception. A detailed walkthrough of the task can be read in our separate guide.
A hand washes a hand
You decide to enlist the help of Hands, but he will agree to help you only if you deal with his orders. You will need to complete three of four missions to choose from:
- Saints of Dog City
- Acrobatic stunts
- Out of sight, out of mind
- The forest is cut down – the chips fly
Having dealt with the specified requirement, visit Hands. He will give you a plan of the building and show you the most dangerous places. Return to the Moth and talk to Reed again. Then listen to Alex's plan. A detailed walkthrough of the task can be read in our separate guide.
Black or red
Get inside the building, passing through tunnels filled with toxic substances, and then deal with the guards, find Reed and help him get to the meeting point, eliminating all obstacles in his way. Then change your clothes and enter the casino. Meet Jay and find out the reason for her recent actions.
Next, you will need to win at roulette by playing with Emeric and Aurora Cassel. Hansen himself will then join you, asking you to leave the building. A detailed walkthrough of the task can be read in our separate guide.
Game rules
After some thought, you will decide that you can only penetrate Hansen’s base as Emeric and Aurora. To do this, you will need to take an impression of the twins and then implant it into yourself to change your appearance. You can perform the corresponding procedure at Farida's clinic. A detailed walkthrough of the task can be read in our separate guide.
Identity crisis
Talk with Reed again and spot the car of the netrunners you need. Climb into the trunk of the car and eavesdrop on the twins. Then take control of the car and go to the marked point. There, deal with Emeric and Aurora, and then put on other clothes and turn on the print. A detailed walkthrough of the task can be read in our separate guide.
Judgment Day
The key task of the entire plot of the add-on, since it is in it that you have to make an important decision – to capture Jay, siding with Reed, or to help the netrunner escape. Your choice will determine not only the development of the current quest, but also what tasks you will receive in the future. We have described all the consequences in detail in the relevant material. Next, we will divide the list of missions depending on who exactly you decide to help.
Interregnum
You will receive this quest regardless of which side you take in the previous task. You can complete it in parallel with other story missions. In it, you have to help Lieutenant Colonel Bennett become the new leader of Dog Town in order to appease Mr. Hands. However, you can support his competitor – Iago Szabo. Globally, your choice will not affect anything, so you can choose any option. We talked about this in more detail in a separate guide.
Sided with Reed
You will receive further quests if in “Judgment Day” you decided to help the agent capture Jay. In this case, the netrunner will be able to escape by destroying the stadium, and Alex will die. You will have to fight Hansen. However, Somi is eventually captured by the police.
Hour of Confusion
Attack the police convoy to intercept Jay. To do this, engage other netrunners, plant a mine and wait for the desired truck to pass. Deal with the guards and release the prisoner, but she will escape from you again, and Reed will be wounded. Go chasing the girl. A detailed walkthrough of the task can be read in our separate guide.
Gaze into the Abyss
The jay will be able to escape, but will leave behind a digital trail. Get into the secret Kinosura complex. Here you have to hide from a creepy robot and find Somi. When you finally find her, you will need to make another decision about the girl's fate, which will affect the endings of the expansion. A detailed walkthrough of the task can be read in our separate guide.
Homecoming
This quest awaits you no matter what you do with Jay – only its content will change. At the end you will have a conversation with Reed, who will go into the sunset, and with Johnny. A detailed walkthrough of the task can be read in our separate guide.
End of the game
The final mission of the Reed route expansion. Here you will just need to talk with the secret agent, discussing with him all the events that happened earlier. Next, you will find the “Quiet Life” quest, which completes the main plot. A detailed walkthrough of the task can be read in our separate guide.
Sided with Jay
You will receive further quests if you decided to help Jay escape in Doomsday. In this case, Alex will deal with Hansen on his own, so there will be no need to fight him. However, you can still get weapons from it. Somi will get to the car, and then promise to contact you.
Fading Star
After a couple of days, you will receive a message from Jay again. She will tell you about a base on the Moon, where perhaps the main character and Somi can be cured. Go with the girl to the spaceport. Along the way you will learn that only one can be healed. Here you can betray the netrunner by handing her over to Reed.
However, the secret agent will meet you near the shuttle in any case. He will again offer you to capture Jay in exchange for treatment. Here you will find a fork in the road, on which the ending of the add-on and the main plot depends. We have discussed all the possible consequences of your decisions in a separate guide.
Closing the circle
You will receive this mission if you decide to hand Jay over to the government in the previous quest and receive treatment. Meet Reed and chat with him. He will doubt the correctness of his previous actions. You can also open access to the “Quiet Life” quest, which completes the main plot. A detailed walkthrough of the task can be read in our separate guide.
The girl's name is Jay
This task will become available to you if you help Somi get onto the shuttle by killing Reed as part of the “Fading Star” quest. In it you will just need to chat with Alex, who will be tasked with eliminating you. However, she will not want to do this work for the government, so you will part ways with her amicably. A detailed walkthrough can be read in our separate guide.
Signal from space
Opens after completing the previous quest. A few in-game days after talking with Alex, you will receive a message from a stranger. Head to the indicated location and find a souvenir here indicating that Jay was indeed cured on the Moon. A detailed walkthrough can be read in our separate guide.
These are all the quests of the Phantom Liberty add-on for Cyberpunk 2077. We hope that this information will help you go through them and choose the most suitable one for ending for you.
