Demonite is one of those ores in The Forge (Forging) that you are definitely talking about you will hear as soon as you begin to understand ore and forging. This rare ore has a low chance of being mined, and the path to it is not pleasant. But the properties of Daemonite in creating weapons and armor are too good to pass by.
Where to look for Demonite in The Forge
Demonite is found only in one place – in the Volcanic Depths(Volcanic Depths). This is an area hidden deep within the Forgotten Kingdom.
When you find yourself in the Forgotten Kingdom, go to Captain Rowan's camp. From there – to the Ruined Caves. Keep to the right wall. As soon as “DANGER” appears on the screen, then you are on the right path – this is the Ashen Passage.
At the end of the passage lies a Magma Pickaxe and two Basalt Veins. You need to either break them with a pickaxe with damage above 78, or use a dash and jump through the side openings. After several attempts, you will get to the desired location.
Everything here is stacked against you: lava under your feet, elite skeletons, random Reaper spawns. Combat is inevitable, so come prepared. Your main goal is Volcanic Rocks. Only they drop Demonite, and the drop rate is approximately 1 in 3666.
What kind of pickaxe do you need
To break volcanic rocks, you will need a pickaxe with mining power of 100 units or more. The earliest suitable one is the Lightite Pickaxe, but it is more comfortable to work with Magma, Arcana or Demonic.
If you are going for the first time, take the strongest and fastest a pickaxe you can afford. This will save you from unnecessary running around when mobs interrupt your mining rhythm.
How to increase the chance of Demonite dropping
Even with a good pickaxe, Demonite rarely falls. To avoid wasting hours, use everything that increases your luck. The following works:
Luck potions
They are bought from Maria in the shop. Gives a noticeable boost, especially if you play for a long time and stack several sources of luck.
Dedicated Player skill
Opens in the achievements section. Depending on the time spent in the game, it adds from 8% to 40% luck.
Miner Shard rune with a luck bonus
Suitable for those who have already collected a normal pickaxe and want to get the most out of it.
Races with luck bonuses
Some races provide passive growth. The most profitable is Angel, but there are others.
Why do you need Demonite at all
- Demonite is a mythical ore with a 5.5x multiplier, which automatically makes it a material for top weapon and heavy armor recipes.
- When forging a weapon, it gives a chance to inflict a burning effect on the enemy – additional damage for two seconds, which removes about 20% health.
- When creating armor, you can get the Demon Backfire passive: when receiving damage, there is a chance to set the attacker on fire.
- It can be sold for $83, but usually this is not the best choice – the value in forging is higher.
