The quest “Devil's Pain” in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Mysteria Ecclesiae is optional to complete, but we still recommend not skipping it in order to better integrate into the atmosphere of the reigning epidemic in the monastery. You can receive the task as part of the story quest “Anamnesis”. When you leave the infirmary, you will meet Madla in the courtyard, who will complain about her condition. Talk to her to start the quest.

The main task — help the girl heal by finding a cure. Next, we will tell you how to complete the quest and indicate the consequences of the choices you make.
Completing the quest “Devil's Pain” in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Talk to Madla
We intervene in the conversation (the girl will complain of severe pain in the lower abdomen). The dialogue needs to find out how long she has been experiencing these pains and what she was doing before it started. In general, we collect a picture of the disease.

After listening to Madla, we promise to help her – “Okay, I’ll help you.”

You can also take a chance and choose – “I’ll try to make a diagnosis”. But this requires advanced scholarship. Henry will conclude that the girl sat on the cold stones and fell ill like a woman.

At the end We promise to get her medicine.

We will have two options – either contact Albicus, or independently search for a recipe or potion. The first option is the most effective.
Talk to Albicus – the first option
The doctor is also in the infirmary where we were just now. Most likely, he will sit next to the bed of confessor Stefan.

We ask him about female illness –“I need advice. Here the girl is sick.”

We tell you the main symptoms.

Albicus, like a conscientious doctor, who dreams of helping all patients (unlike other doctors who, for some reason, mostly refuse to treat women’s diseases), will share a recipe for a diuretic decoction. You'll have to cook it yourself.

Talk to Benedict – second option
Benedict will also sit in the infirmary and talk with the monk. We intervene in the conversation.

First of all, he will ask who we are to Albikus. We answer –“More like a personal security guard.”

We explain that we need a potion for a sick girl.

He will send usto libraryor find someone in the infirmary who can help (remember Albicus).
If you go to the library, thentalk to Crispin.

Explain to him that a book is needed about women's diseases.

What is it for? will advise you to look for the book in the archives. It is called “On inflammation of the lower tracts”. This way you will find out the recipe for the desired decoction.
But remember that the easiest way is tocontact Albus straight away.
How to brew a potion
Most likely, your inventory will already have the necessary herbs – valerian, nettle and ginger. If not, then visit the local gardens that are located around the monastery.

Afterwards we head to the alchemical table. The closest one is in the infirmary.

Open a book with recipes (previously study it in your inventory). We find – “Anti-inflammatory drug”.

Take water and pour it into boiler

Next, you need to take one handful of nettles, chop it and cook in the cauldron for exactly one turn of the hourglass. In this case, be sure to use bellows to fan the fire.

Afterwards we take two handfuls of valerian and throw into the cauldron. Cook two turns. At the end, add chopped ginger and pour the finished drug into the bottle.

Remaining give the medicine to Madla. She will just be near the housekeeper Zdenek, with whom we need to talk as part of the main quest “Anamnesis.”
Madla will immediately drink the potion and feel relief – the pain will subside. She will thank Henry and the quest “Devil's Pain” will be completed.
