As part of the quest “Academic Interest” in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you will be able to get to the Gaspin Manor, located in the Hossberg Marshes. Having made your way deeper into the estate, you will find another puzzle with sculptures of guardians, solving which you will be able to unlock a shortcut between the different areas.

How to solve the puzzle with the statues in Gaspin Mansion
Getting into the mansion is not easy. You need to get the quest “Academic Interest” from one of the NPCs located in Lavendelle. Follow the quest marker, which will lead you to Gaspin Mansion.
After overcoming all the Venatori traps, you will find yourself in a huge courtyard of the mansion, where you will see three statues of guardians. To solve the puzzle, you need to turn each statue to face its brazier.
Statue #1
The first statue is to the right of the quick jump, in the farthest corner of the courtyard. Turn the statue to face the dilapidated building, where you can see a brazier on top of it.
Statue #2
The next statue is on the left side of the courtyard. Rotate it until it faces the torch to its right. Once the green flame lights up, move to the last sculpture.
Statue #3
The final statue is in the middle of the courtyard, to the left of the main staircase. The brazier you need is located to the left of the guardian himself. Turn the statue towards the torch and once all the statues are firmly in place, proceed further to complete the puzzle.
How to Unlock the Shortcut
After arranging the statues in the right way, go up the stairs and enter the room that opens on the left. There you will find Fireand a chest with a bomb belt «Wanderer's Shackles».
Grab the Wisp and run to the locked gate on the right side of the estate. Activate the skeleton on the other side of the grate with the Wisp and it will lift it, unlocking a shortcut from Gaspin Manor to the Shoal of Solitude location.
