In Genshin Impact, Dry Purple is a local curiosity of Natlan, which is required for the ascension of some characters. You'll need quite a few of these flowers, so in this guide we'll show you where to find and buy them, highlighting the best farming routes.
Note: The exact locations of the materials on the map will be revealed after the release of update 5.2. For now, you can read about what they are needed for and how to prepare for their collection.
What is Dried Purple Flower Used For in Genshin Impact
Currently, it is required to level only one game character – Chaska, but this will probably change in the future, as HoYoverse plans to add many heroes from the Pyro Kingdom. It should be remembered that to elevate even one fighter, you will need to collect 168 pieces of these materials, so we advise you to farm them in advance.
Preparing to collect Dry Purple
Recommended characters
You can collect these plants with any heroes, but if you plan to seriously farm them (that is, make not a 5-minute foray, but arrange a real 30-40 minute hike), then we advise you to take several characters into the squad, which will allow you to significantly reduce the time it takes to collect this curiosity. All of them are listed in the table below, hidden behind the spoiler.
Characters | Features |
---|---|
Nahida | With her elemental skill, you can quickly collect curiosities from afar. This will save you from having to climb trees, ledges, and other hard-to-reach places. |
Mualani Kachina Kinich Shilonen Ororon Chaska | The first three characters show all the nearby local curiosities of Natlan on the minimap. At the same time, they all have unique mechanics for moving around the Pyro Kingdom, which makes it much easier to explore. |
Ye Lan | Can very quickly overcome both large and small distances in the absence of obstacles with the help of his elemental skill. |
Amber Colleys Venti | Reduces the active hero's stamina consumption while using the glider by 20 percent. The bonus does not stack. |

Sayu | If you hold down the heroine's elemental skill for a long time, she will turn into a wind wheel, which will significantly increase her movement speed. Often, moving it turns out to be even faster than sprinting. |
Rosaria | The movement speed of team members increases by 10% during the dark time of day (from 18:00 to 06:00) thanks to the heroine's passive skill “Path in the Night”. |
Dehya | The movement speed of team members increases by 10% during daylight hours (from 06:00 to 18:00) thanks to the heroine's passive skill “Sunny Path”. |
2x Anemo character | Anemo Resonance “Nimble Wind” appears, which reduces stamina costs by 15% and increases movement speed by 10 percent. |
Don't forget to also bring a large number of stamina-building dishes with you and add them to your dry rations so that you can instantly use them if necessary.
How long does it take for Dry Purples to respawn?
As with other types of local curiosities, these flowers respawn exactly after 48 real-time hours after being collected.. So after visiting the best farming spots, just wait a couple of days, and then go through the routes below again or ask to go to your friends' worlds.
Where to find Dry Purpleberries in Genshin Impact
The official description says that we are talking about a flower whose leaves and petals look withered and scorched. It is often found in places with a lot of ash. These plants grow in the area of Ochkanatlan, an ancient city destroyed in divine flames.
All farming spots will be shown after the release of patch 5.2. We also advise you to keep an interactive map of Natlan in front of you to better navigate the area.
Where to buy Dry Purpleberries
Unfortunately, at the moment, no one can buy this local curiosity. However, you can get a little during test runs and hero birthdays. Plus, some flowers are given out for some tasks in the world of Natlan. Of course, these methods are not as effective as farming, so there is no escape from it.
