In Honkai: Star Rail, the Fugitives mini-quest is a hidden quest that can be found in the House of Shackles. Help Shuei and the prison warden, Chii, bring three escaped prisoners back into custody. After catching the escapees, you will receive a small reward and unlock the achievement “Three Fugitives Out of Five”, referring to the most famous prisoners of the underwater prison Lofu Xianzhou: Blade, Jingliu and Loche. Walkthrough of the hidden mission “Fugitives” in HSR
Despite the fact that the House of Shackles location opens approximately in the middle of the story campaign “Duel under the Azure Sky I”, you can start the hidden quest only after completing the main story of update 2.4 – only then will a special interaction mark appear in the center of the 1st floor of the prison.
Examine the work desk on the Scriptorium platform
First of all, get to the central platform on the 1st floor of the underwater prison: you can fly to it along the jade canvases (they are marked on the map above), one of which is located on the territory of the safe zone in the southern part of the floor, and the second is to the east of the anchor “Scriptorium: Before the Passage”.
On the eastern side of the round platform is a workstation with a touchscreen with a golden sparkle flickering on it – go to it and select the “Inspect” action.
Listen to Xueya and Chiya's request
First from the information on the examined screen, and then from Xuei and Chii, we learn that several not the most dangerous, but still criminals are missing from the prison. And the Pioneer is drawn into the operation to catch the offenders, but they promise to certainly reward him for this.
Catch the three escaped prisoners
Next, we will show you where you can find each escaped offender: one of them is on the 1st floor, and the other two are in the area of ​​the icy and hot prisons. You can catch them in any convenient order.
The taciturn fugitive
Let's start with the hideout closest to the start of the quest with the Laconic Fugitive: he is sitting in the corner behind the destroyed column, near the jade canvas in the southern half of the 1st floor of the House of Shackles. As soon as you fly down, our hero will voice a guess that one of the escapees may be nearby. Talk to the fox criminal, listen to a couple of unfounded threats from him, and then hand him over to guard.
Cold Fugitive
Second stop: warehouse area in the south of -1 floor. Use the Ice Prison I anchor, and then run across the nearest crossing (the switch must be set to green) towards the wide opening with sharp spikes. The hiding place of the Cold Fugitive is in the far part of the room, behind a crooked container. When discovered, the girl will try to fight back, but will eventually collapse without strength and also fall under Chii's supervision.
The Courteous Fugitive
To arrest the last missing prisoner, get to the abandoned work area in the northeast -3 floor. Start at the “Scorching Prison” teleporter, then run along the bridge to the left and to the jade sheet, from which you need to fly over the lava to the area above. Go a little further to the control panel standing on the way to the elevator (if the bridge in front of you is blocking the path, lower it and go up to the desired block).
In this area you can find one normal treasure chest and a Hexanexus, which we talked about in a separate article on all the chests in the House of Shackles (items 23-25).
The Courteous Fugitivelurked in a half-open container to the right of the rise. This blond guy with a well-choreographed speech will try to convince us of the good intentions of his escape, but he, too, eventually meets the inevitable moment of capture.
Read the correspondence in Xueyi
When all the escapees are handed over to us for protection, Xueyi will write to us personally – the judge will offer to find the headmistress of the House of Shackles, Chii, if possible, and receive the promised reward from her.
Find the headmistress of the prison Chii and collect the payment
The quest will end once we proceed to the high hall with the giant stone gate in the northeast of the 1st floor of the prison and approach the crowd at the back of the room. Listen to the conversation between the guilty and Chii, and at the end you will receive some credits and some resources for upgrading cones and characters + the achievement “Out of five people, three are fugitives.”
