Fishing in Steal Brainrot – This is a separate mechanic that creates a lot of activity around it. It launches as a periodic event and allows players to harvest underwater brainrots, unlock cosmetic bonuses, upgrade their own base and expand their collection of creatures. Despite the simplicity of the mini-game, success here depends on understanding the timing, the quality of equipment and the behavior of the brainrots themselves.
Basics of fishing in Steal the Brainroth
Once every sixty minutes, a flood covers the location, which submerges the map under water and activates a fifteen-minute fishing window. You can prepare for the event in advance by following the timer located in the lower right corner of the screen. The scoreboard in the center of the world displays a countdown to flooding, making planning easier.

After the location is flooded, a fisherman merchant appears in the center. It is he who has access to the tab with fishing rods. While the event is active, you can purchase improved gear if you have met the requirements for rebirths and accumulated enough currency. Outside the fishing season, the merchant is unavailable.

Fishing rods in Steal Brainrot
Each fishing rod has a luck multiplier. This parameter does not guarantee the occurrence of a rare brainrot, but it significantly increases the chances of a perfect cast. The starting tool is available to everyone without preconditions and gives a base multiplier of one and a half times. Other models require a certain number of rebirths and significantly increase the likelihood of valuable captures.

Available fishing rods:
- Starter – free, multiplier 1.5, no requirements
- Ice – cost 2,500,000, multiplier 2, requires 5 rebirths
- Fire – cost 5,000,000, multiplier 3, requires 10 rebirths
- Radioactive – cost 10,000,000, multiplier 4, requires 15 rebirths

How to catch brainrots
To start fishing, the fishing rod is placed in the active slot. Casting is performed by holding the left mouse button and then releasing it when the indicator reaches the uppermost mark. The closer to the maximum the hold is terminated, the higher the luck bonus.

After a successful cast, random activation occurs biting. When the indicator beeps, a drawing mini-game appears. At this point, it is important to continuously press the action key, shifting the progress to the right side of the bar. Resetting the scale to zero causes the brainrot to simply fly off the hook.

Caught a brainrot is automatically sent to the base if there is a free slot there. When the base is full, the creature disappears without being added to the collection.
