In Genshin Impact“Forward! Forward!” is a small world quest on the Tezcatepetonco Ridge that opens access to the “Unwavering Faith” flight training from Mataga of the Flowerfeather Clan. In this guide, we will tell you how to start the mission, pick up the password and go up to the platform with the spiritual path test, complete it with maximum points, and then pick up three chests – a normal, rich and precious one.
Walking through the quest “Forward! Forward!”
The quest “Forward! Only Forward!” will begin after you find a way to climb to the platform in the south of the Tezcatepetonco Ridge and talk to the boy Mataga (Mañoya's younger brother). We also suggest that you familiarize yourself in advance with the principle of passing the “Trials of the Warrior”, one of which will have to be completed during this mission, in our separate guide.
How to find Mataga
First, get to the place marked on the map above (south of the Tezcatepetonco Ridge). Once in this area, Paimon will notice a house floating high in the sky and suggest finding a way to get to it. Next, run to the wooden plank area and read the sign “Mataga! Remember!!!” (it is located just after the rope ladder with two golden horns on either side).
From the instructions on the sign, you can find out the password: left horn, right horn, left horn, right horn. In this order you need to blow through the Hornson the edges of the stairs. If you do everything correctly, a cornucopia will fly up to you, and air currents will appear in front of you. Mount the Saurian (English “T” on PC) and fly up to the platform.
On the hovering structure, the heroes will be met by Mataga, a young and ambitious rider on cornsaurus, who at the age of 12 is eager to become a warrior. The boy invites guests to hone their flying technique, guide the saurian along the track and score as many points as possible. Once you finish talking to Mataga, the quest “Forward! Only Forward!” will appear in the list of tasks.
Start the special training!
Go to the stand that looks like a target and click “Start the Challenge“. Next, you will have the “Unwavering Faith” run, during which you need to get at least a B-rank. To open all the challenge rewards, get more than 11 thousand points(passing on SS is necessary to get the general achievement “Battle Spirits…” for all training from the Flower Feather Clan).
How to pass the “Unwavering Faith” test
Before the start, a scarlet mark of transformation into a saurian will appear on the platform – use the skills of a cornucopia or Chaska to successfully complete the flight and collect all the coins (41 pieces). Below we will leave a video walkthrough of this test:
When controlling the winged zavrian, you can:
- Accelerate(constant on LMB and push — on RMB);
- Control the flight altitude (down — left Ctrl, up — space).
By beating Mataga's record, we will inspire the boy to continue improving. The rider will give us a short parting word and disappear, and the task will come to an end.
Rewards
For completing the quest “Forward! Only Forward!” the player will receive 30 Primogems and 37,000 Mora. If you complete the Unwavering Faith challenge at S-rank, you will additionally receive three treasures containing:
- 17 Primogems;
- 6 Pyro Seals;
- Scarlet Obsidian Fragment (may not drop);
- Mora, EXP Books, and Ore (quantity depends on account rank);
- Random artifacts and low-rarity weapons.
