Free weapons in Genshin Impactis obtained not by praying, but by completing various tasks, game activities and events, which makes it more accessible to F2P players. In this article, we will consider all such weapons and figure out which characters should give them to.
How to get free weapons in Genshin Impact
Next, we will tell you about all the ways to get weapons without spending spins, primogems, star shine and dust. In most cases, you can only get 1 copy of the gun, and special materials are used for awakening. In addition, all free weapons have 3- and 4-star rarity – the developers have not yet held events with the distribution of legendaries.
Temporary events
Many major updates feature temporary events that allow players to earn points for completing missions and purchase weapons and awakening materials with the accumulated points.
Unfortunately, none of these events were repeated, so players only had one chance to get unique guns.

Crafting
In each region, you can buy or get weapon blueprints and blanks for completing certain tasks and use them for crafting. You can create craft guns in unlimited quantities, but blanks are a rather rare material, so we advise you not to waste them on useless weapons.

3-star weapons
There are several rare 3-star guns in the game that cannot be purchased or obtained through prayers or crafting. You can only get a couple of copies of each of them, so we recommend locking them down – especially since some of these weapons can be extremely useful.

Console-exclusive weapon
Currently, players can get one free weapon if they log into the game on PlayStation 4 or 5 – the one-handed Sword of Descension. When switching to other platforms, the weapon remains on the account, but its passive ability – a chance to deal 200% damage with normal and charged attacks and an increase to the Traveler's attack power – only works on console.
The sword can be useful in the early stages of the game, especially if you use the Traveler as a main or support DD, but at higher levels you can find more effective options.
Another weapon – the Predator bow – was given to players on console in the 2.1-2.2 as part of the collaboration with Sony, along with Aloy. His passive, which increases the damage of normal and charged attacks, as well as increases Aloy's attack power, only works on PlayStation. The bow is good for Aloy and Gan Yu if you play on console, otherwise it is useless.
