Exploring the territory around the Night Wind Lords tribe in Genshin Impact, you can come across glowing purple portals that resemble woven fabrics. After studying them, you will be transported to a hidden space with trials that require the skills of cryosaurians to complete. In the course of solving this large puzzle, 4 precious and 1 luxurious chest are given out. In the guide, we will tell you how to find and solve all the trials with purple fabrics, as well as collect the due rewards.
How to find all purple portals of the Lords of the Night Wind
In the Night Wind Lords' clan territory, you can find three linked canvases: north, east, and southwest of the settlement. They all lead to the same hidden location, but with different challenges and ways to get rewards. For convenience, we will mark the places with numbers, but the order of completion is not important.
To start the trial, come up and touch the canvas. After moving to the location, transform into an ictomisaur (a soul migration mark appears at the entrance), or use Ororon and his Night Spirit skill for the challenge. Next, we will analyze how to find and complete each puzzle.
Canvas 1 (east)
The first purple portal is at the foot of the waterfall to the east of the Cryo Tribe. Get rid of all the enemies, then enter the hidden location. Ahead lies a laser beam challenge. Do not touch them, otherwise the hero will return to the start.
The two walls of beams at the beginning of the path do not move: the first, like the second, can simply be jumped over by the Saurian, but with the double one (second screenshot above), try not to run too much and immediately go down after the jump so as not to touch the beams from above.
There are two ways to get past the section with moving beams: crawl along the wall from the side, or time it right and fly on a saurian. Choose the option that suits you best and get to the end of the corridor. Then turn to the right wall, hold down the echolocation skill (left mouse button) and look at the red triangular symbol for a couple of seconds until the wall disappears.
If you successfully crossed some sections with beams, they will not be there at the restart.
Proceed into the area that opens up, then echolocate the same red hieroglyph at the end of the passage again to unlock the path forward.
After removing the second wall, turn left and use echolocation to illuminate another red drawing – there will be a dead end behind the wall and a stone symbol, which is needed for the puzzle on the opposite side of the corridor.
Pick up the stone drawing from the wall, turn to the passage in front of the stairs and use E-key to place it from below in front of the beam on either side of the corridor. On the right wall you can pick up another boulder, with which you need to do the same. You must block the two lower beams to freely move forward (as shown in the third screenshot above).
At the end of the trial, you will find one precious chest and a canvas through which you can return to the main map. The treasure rewards will include 10 Primogems, 3 Pyro Seals, random resources for leveling up heroes and equipment, and (with a 50/50 chance) a Purple Obsidian Fragment.
Canvas 2 (North)
The second canvas is located on a hill north of the Cryo Tribe. Once in this area, you need to defeat the Guardian Spirit of the Dark Night (Cryo Incarnation of Wyob). In combat, try to use damage from reactions to knock down the shield and quickly defeat the enemy. On either side of the guard are two columns with drawings carved on them – you can find auxiliary items on them (for example, exploding barrels). At the start of this trial, a mark of transformation into an ictomisaur also appears, whose skills will help to reveal the images.
After winning, you will be able to go to the same exit area, in front of which the second precious chest will be waiting.
Canvas 3 (southwest)
And the last canvas is in a cave southwest of the Cryo tribe. As you approach this place, you will see a flock of orange spirits – follow them through the passage in the rock.
All but one spirit will fly through a narrow passage under the wall. At the entrance, you can immediately transform into a cryo saurian, then rise on the resulting air current and grab the spirit hanging above the ground. The creature will take the form of a manitou and enter the pattern on the wall, and a Phlogiston Column will appear in front of you – fill it to open the way deeper into the cave.
To open the way to the canvas, you need to solve the riddle with the rainbow spirits to the end. How to do this was clear at the entrance to the cave – you need to catch each creature in the air flow, and then grab it in the air. Below we will leave video with the solution to this puzzle:
Use the zavrian's echolocation on the wind symbol inside the cave, then set the flow under each spirit in turn. Once you catch one, return to the drawing, pick up the anemo move again, and repeat everything on the next creature.
When all three manitou enter the graffiti on the ground in the center of the cave, the water level will drop. Jump into the hole, at the bottom of which is a canvas, a precious chest, and a pyrocule. Use the portal to get to the final trial.
The final test is an obstacle course that will test your speed and agility. The entire bottom of the dungeon is covered in a dark substance that cannot be touched. To successfully reach the reward for the cryo saurian, you need to jump and glide, picking up air currents from the walls along the way: hold down LMB (echolocation) while flying), point the camera at the graffiti, and after picking it up, press E and place the wind pillar directly on the darkness below. This way, you can smoothly glide forward without losing altitude.
Having reached the depression, go down the left side and pull the blue lever – darkness will begin to rise from below. You can also place wind pillars on it and gradually move upward. Below we will leave a video with the passage of this test:
The Wind Stream can only be placed when the darkness is close enough to you. Do not panic and wait for the right moment until the installation beacon changes from red to blue. Climb up to the exit, focusing on the chest icon in the upper half of the dungeon.
In addition to the final treasure chest, a floating slab will descend to the exit area. Climb onto it and activate the lift – it will rush into the room under the ceiling, in which one luxurious chest awaits (it contains as many as 50 primogems, 30 thousand mora and some magic ore).
