While exploring the southern beach of the ancient Ochkanatlan territory in Genshin Impact, you can stumble upon a round harbor, at the edges of which the plates are hidden. If you find four of these plates and awaken them, the mechanisms will rise above the water and raise a precious chest to the surface – in the guide we will consider how to find this place with a puzzle, find and launch each plate, and then collect all the trophies.
How to solve the puzzle with the plates in the south of Ochkanatlan
The puzzle location is on the coast in the southwestern half of Ochkanatlan. There is a teleporter right on the beach – move to it to start searching for the slabs. On the map above, we have indicated 4 locations where the mechanisms are. Below, we will analyze each of them separately.
Western slab (1)
The first slab lies surrounded by a pair of dendro saurians, and is visible from the teleporter. Stand on the mechanism and press “Awaken“, you don't have to kill the dragons.
Southern slab (2)
The second slab is located under the lava blockage on the southern half of the beach. A dendro dragon sleeps by the water in front of it – borrow its appearance (skill on the English key “T”) and pick up the blue fruit growing nearby (short press of E). Shoot the soaring berry directly at the rubble, and then run to the slab to awaken it.
Eastern Slab (3)
The third slab is hidden in a dilapidated tower on the eastern half of the beach. There is a switch to the right of the entrance – press “Open the door” and get ready to fight the monster of the abyss, after defeating which the entrance to the tower will open automatically.
Inside there will be not only a slab, but also a rich chest. After opening it, another similar monster will appear, and the activity itself is connected with the process of completing the quest “Distorted Expansion”.
Northern Plate (4)
The last slab is on an overgrown column north of the beach. It is clamped by a horizontal mechanism, so before awakening, you need to possess the dragon's dendro (it sits right above the slab) and get rid of the obstacle with its help. We go down and pull the right hook with the E-coy of the saurian – the action will push forward the right part of the “trap”, which will immediately begin to slowly return to its original position. Wait until there is nothing in the way along the edges of the slab and click “awaken”.
When all 4 slabs fly up over the flooded circular area in the center of the pond, a precious chest will emerge from the water. From it you can get 10 Primogems, 3 Pyro Seals, various useful materials, and, with a small chance, Scarlet Obsidian.
