In Genshin Impact, Blazing Extremes is a game mode in patch 5.0 and part of the Traces of Mastery event. During it, you will have to fight various opponents, including bosses, passing combat trials. As a reward, you will receive Colorful Reasoning, Ascension Materials, and Primogems. In this guide, we will tell you how to complete all stages.
How to start the event “Burning Extremes”
First of all, you will need to complete the starting quest of the event called “A Cutting Edge Look at Graffiti!”, to unlock access to three types of challenges, including Blazing Extremes. Then you can start clearing the first level. Note that new stages will open gradually. The picture below shows the schedule.
Children of Echoes (Day 1)
Open the event page in the main menu, then go to the “In Search of Inspiration” section and select the “Children of Echo” category. You will find several unpainted graffiti here. Pay attention to the one with the crossed swords icon next to it – this is the challenge you need.
Lightning Strike
Stage 1
Start tracking him and head to the area north of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. Next, you will engage in a fight with two Crumbling Avatars of the Earth. Then you will need to defeat several regular enemies. We recommend that you take your most pumped-up characters to your team.
Stage 2
Proceed to the next area. First, deal with a group of normal enemies, and then engage in a fight with the Embodiment of Wyob of caves and rocks. With well-leveled characters, they should not cause you much trouble.
Stage 3
Move to the third area and engage in combat with two Mysterious Source Automatons: Hunter-Prowler. Beware of their area-of-effect laser beams. At this point, it is advisable to run away from the enemies to avoid getting hit. Then deal with two more Crumbling Earth Avatars and several Hunters.
How to Break the Shield of the Golden Flame Tyrant Kukusaur
Move to the cave where the boss is located and engage him in battle. If you want to not only defeat him, but also fulfill an additional condition, then you must first wait until he enters a special mode, turning golden and rising into the sky. For melee characters, he will be out of reach, but you can try to get him with archers.
He will start to launch homing projectiles at you. After two volleys, he will fire one powerful projectile at the player, which will fall to the ground in the form of a sphere. Run up to it and start hitting it with elemental attacks to destroy it. If you don't, the Kukusaur will immediately rise into the sky again and start firing missiles at you again.
If you manage to destroy the sphere, the boss will land on the ground, and you will be able to get him even with melee heroes. Immediately start attacking him with the Hydro element (other elements will do, except for Pyro), in order to quickly destroy his shield (the orange bar under the health bar). By destroying it, you will knock the dragon to the ground and fulfill the condition. Plus, you will unlock the achievement “Black Arrow of the Saurian Hunter”.
Important: Note that after 3 launches of the sphere on the ground, Kukuzavr himself will lose his shield and fall to the ground, but in this case, you will not be able to get the achievement and complete the challenge.
Descendants of Kron (Day 1)
Open the event page in the main menu, then go to the “In Search of Inspiration” section and select the “Descendants of Kron” category. You will find several unpainted graffiti here. Pay attention to the one with the crossed swords icon next to it – this is the challenge you need.
Rapid Leap
Stage 1
Start tracking him and head to the area north of the Ancient Watchtower dungeon. You will then see a group of enemies near a fire crystal – shoot it to cause an explosion and kill the enemies. Next, you will have to fight two Mystic Source Automatons and an Incarnation of Swiftness and Leafy Viob. Be careful, as the latter is able to drain energy, preventing the use of the ult.
Stage 2
Next, jump down from the ledge and fight a new group of enemies below, near the tent. First, you will have to fight the hunters, and then another Incarnation of Wyob. After destroying them, use the air currents to get to the third test area.
Stage 3
After going down, you will engage in a fight with the hunters. Then you will need to fight two Mysterious Source Automatons. As usual, beware of their lasers. At the end, you will have to fight two Crumbling Avatars of the Earth. After dealing with them, you can go to the boss.
How to Light a Fruit on Fire and Let the Voracious Yumkasaurus Mountain King Swallow It
From the third challenge location, head west, through the crevice, and drop down near the waterfall. You'll find yourself in a large cave. Continue forward and activate the teleporter (if you haven't already). Ahead, you'll see an arena with a fat enemy sitting on it. Drop down there.
If you want to complete the additional objective, be sure to take Pyro characters in your party. Next, start the battle with the Jumkasaurus King. Try not to use Pyro abilities (if they cannot be activated at any time). Then wait for the enemy to shake the blue fruits out of himself. When they fall to the ground, immediately attack them with fire attacks to set them on fire.
As soon as the enemy swallows at least one ignited fruit, you will complete the additional condition and open the achievement “And you, Dinobrut?”. In addition, the enemy will be stunned for a while, so you can deal damage to him without any problems.
