In Genshin ImpactThe Talismans of Spring is the main event of patch 5.3, where you will be able to participate in the 2025 Sea Lantern Festival held in Liyue. You will be able to play several mini-games and earn Festive Fever, which can then be exchanged for various valuable rewards, including Primogems and Mora.
In this guide, we will tell you how to start this event, complete all its challenges and quests, as well as get a new skin for Xiangling and a free 4-star character from Liyue of your choice.
How to Start the Talismans of Spring Event
The event will start on January 24, 2024 at 10:00 server time and will end on February 9 at 03:59 (the store will be open until February 12). To participate in it, you will first need to fulfill several conditions, namely:
- Reach at least Adventure Rank 20.
- Complete the story mission called “Song of Dragon Freedom”, which is the third chapter of the Prologue.
- Complete the Archon quest “Burning Ode of Resurrection” (optional).
- Complete the Bai Zhu Legend quest called “Healer's Vessel: Healing” (optional).
- Complete the Hu Tao Legends quest titled “Charon's Butterfly: And Yet the Butterflies Flew Away” (optional).
The last three quests are optional, but they will allow you to delve deeper into the event's plot. If you decide not to complete them, simply use the quick start option and get to the festival's starting location by starting the event's starting quest on the corresponding page.
Note that new story chapters and test stages will be unlocked gradually, so you won't be able to complete them all at once. The schedule for the release of quests and levels is shown in the image below.

Spring Talismans Event Challenge Guide
Fight of the Immortals
A fun mini-game that combines the mechanics of Tetris and three in a row. You will need to challenge your friends to a duel, and then fight them on a special field. You will need to destroy areas with identical objects to perform an attack on your opponent. The more figures you can blow up, the more damage you will cause. New figures will constantly fall from above.
War Game Under the Lanterns
A combat trial in which you will need to create suitable squads and fight various enemies in the arena, trying to defeat them in a certain period of time. At the same time, it is necessary to complete specific battle objectives and select the optimal stratagems for the team, giving short-term bonuses to characters.
During the battle you will earn points, the amount of which will affect the dslfdftvst rewards. Their receipt is calculated by a special formula, including the number of destroyed enemies, the selected difficulty level, the time spent and the applied stratagems.
Personal gift envelope
A puzzle challenge where you have to decorate cards for your friends from different parts of Teyvat. You will need to accept requests from different characters and strictly follow their wishes when choosing and placing various decorative items on the paper. How to earn holiday excitement
We are talking about a special event currency, to obtain which you will need to complete the above-mentioned tests. Later, they can be exchanged for valuable materials in the in-game store.
Let's add that for completing different stages of mini-games, you will receive additional rewards in the form of Primogems and Mora. In total, you can earn about 760 Primogems.
How to get the skin for Xiangling
To unlock the “New Year's Fun” skin for Xiangling, you will need to collect 1500 units of holiday excitement. After that, you can exchange them for the desired skin on the event page. After the completion of update 5.3, this skin can be purchased in the in-game store for 1680 Creation Crystals.
How to Get a Free Epic Character
To get an Epic Brawler, you will need to collect a certain number of Festive Frenzy Points, and then exchange them for one of the following heroes:

If you don't have Xing Qiu or haven't unlocked all of his constellations, we highly recommend that you take this character, as he is essential for many packs in Genshin Impact, playing the role of a secondary damage dealer. The next most useful is Xiangling, who will also do an excellent job of sub-DD in various Steam, Melt, or Overload squads.
If you already have the above heroes and their constellations unlocked, then choose the rest of the characters based on the situation. For example, if you like playing through Dendro Reaction and need a good healer in your squad, then, of course, take Yao Yao. If you need to strengthen your main DD, who plays from normal attacks (for example, Ayato), take a closer look at Yun Jin. If you need a damage dealer for Xian Yun, who plays through attacks in the fall, then take Ka Ming. You can replace Sucrose with the new Lan Yan, who can also pull enemies and cut their resistances with Emerald Shadow. Choose the rest of the characters in a similar way.
