Genshin Impact 5.1 Release Date
HoYoverse typically releases updates every six weeks, so the next patch is expected to be released on October 9, 2024. It will be replaced by version 5.2 around November 20 of this year.
The client will be available for pre-download a few days before its release. The developers will likely carry out maintenance work, which can last up to 5 hours. Players are usually compensated with 300-600 Primogems.
Genshin Impact 5.1 Live Stream
The development team almost always holds special streams 1.5-2 weeks before the release of a new update. They usually take place on Friday-Sunday. For this reason, the live stream for version 5.1 should take place September 27-29, 2024 at 15:00 Moscow time. During it, three promo codes for 300 Primogems will be posted.
New characters and banners
The miHoYo team has already officially introduced one new character that will appear in the upcoming patch: Shilonen. Insiders shared information about her abilities and reruns of other heroes.
Phase 1 banners
Informants suggest that the following fighters will be featured in banners in the first half of the patch:
- 5-star – Shilonen (Geo, one-handed sword) and Tiori (Geo, one-handed sword).
- 4-star – unknown at this time.
Shilonen is a hybrid of a human and an ocelot (a type of predatory cat) and is famous for her blacksmithing skills throughout Natlan. The girl owns a workshop and treats customer requests with full responsibility and genuine professionalism, no matter how complex they are: be it forging weapons or ordinary accessories. The craftswoman is expected to be a universal buffer, capable of imposing unique bonuses on allies of the pyro, electro, hydro, cryo and geo elements. In addition, Shilonen will be able to reduce damage resistance in enemies and, with the presence of constellations, increase this same parameter for members of his squad.
In “Incarnation of the Divine”, you will be able to get the signature blade of Shilonen called Song of the Peak Patrol, and the one-handed sword Uraku Misugiri (signature Chiori).
Phase 2 Banners
The following fighters will most likely be released in the second half of the update (starts on October 29):
- 5-star – Nahida (Dendro, catalyst) and Hu Tao (Pyro, spear).
- 4-star – unknown so far.
Let us warn you right away that this information is not confirmed by anything. Insiders have not yet provided any reliable information regarding future reruns, but the likelihood of Nahida's release is quite high due to the theory about the “Archon Parade”. We will update this section as soon as we receive more reliable data.
As for the weapon banner, we should expect the Dream of a Thousand Nights catalyst (Nahida's signature) and the Homa's Staff spear (Hu Tao's signature) to appear in it.
Prayer of the Chronicles
Informants suggest that this banner in patch 5.0 may be dedicated to Li Yue, so we will see the following characters in it: Shen He (Cryo, spear), Gan Yu (Cryo, bow), Hu Tao (Pyro, spear), Ye Lan (Hydro, bow), Ke Qing (Electro, one-handed sword), Qi Qi (Cryo, one-handed sword).
Pyro the Traveler
In update 5.0, the main character never received a new element at his disposal. According to rumors, he will be able to get the Pyro element only in patch 5.3 at the end of the Natlan story arc, when Mavuika gives him the heart of the god. However, it is possible that this will happen in the upcoming version.
New Locations
It was previously noted that the developers could expand Natlan by adding a new zone with the Turlan volcano and its surroundings, home to a certain Electro tribe, whose members are actively engaged in agriculture due to the fertile soil. However, later the informant UTeyvat said that the studio is not going to add a new area to the Pyro region – only access to a small cave with a new boss will be opened.
New weapons
In patch 5.1, players will immediately find 4 new weapon variants, among which will be the signature Shilonen. All of them can only be obtained during prayers. The table below shows their approximate characteristics.

New Quests
Archon Quest
The developers intend to release two new chapters of the Natlan story arc at once, within which the Traveler will be able to learn more information about the threat that hangs over the Pyro region. Mavuika, the Captain (you will be able to meet him), Shilonen and Ororona will play a special role in the story. A meeting with Columbine is also possible.
Legend Quests
There is no new information about personal quests, but there is a good chance that the studio will release the third chapter of the Echo Children tribe story, which still remains open-ended. Plus, a quest dedicated to Shilonen may be released.
World Quests
If the team does not intend to add a new area to the game, then there will most likely be few additional quests. Perhaps new missions will appear in old areas.
New Enemies
Mysterious Source Automaton: Configurator
We are talking about a new elite boss, which is a production machine from ancient ruins, designed to perform various construction tasks. It can even build an entire city or become a powerful weapon in the wrong hands.
This enemy does not appear to have any particular resistance to any element, but is capable of inflicting considerable damage due to its enormous attack power. Its health is approaching 1 million units at level 90. The materials it drops are required to upgrade Shilonen.
New Mechanics and Systems
Below is a list of several innovations that are designed to simplify the gameplay and make it more comfortable for players:
- The developers have prepared about 400 primogems for players who will thoroughly explore Natlan.
- Players will finally be able to transfer their accounts from one server to another. However, this process will not be instantaneous, and it will be impossible to use your account during the transfer.
- The game will automatically calculate the missing materials for crafting during the production of certain items.
- miHoYo will allow you to skip the 9th and 10th floors of the Spiral Abyss. You will only need to complete them once to skip them in subsequent cycles.

Create and complete difficult trials that will be excellent preparation for the upcoming adventures. They can be completed in either solo or co-op mode.
Aphid Treasure Hunt
During this event, players will need to find, chase, and attack Phlogiston Aphids that have been eaten away by the Void using Insect Nets. They will need to break their shields and drain Void energy within the allotted time to catch the aphids.
