In Genshin Impact, “Gift Exchange” is one of the hidden world quests in the Pyro region and an independent part of the “In the Footsteps of the Dragon's Chosen” mission line. Upon revisiting the rest area, the Traveler and Paimon will receive a pile of small gifts from the Saurian companion, and will want to repay him in kind. In this guide we will tell you how to start and successfully complete the short mission “Exchange of Gifts”: find out where to look for a jewelry master from the Children of Echo tribe, how to return his tools and wait for the manufacture of a pendant with gems.
All missions from the “In the Footsteps of the Dragon's Chosen” chain are only available after completing the “Lost Children of the Forest” quest. They are not connected to other quests or to each other.
How to Start and Complete the “Gift Exchange” Quest
To visit again recreation area — the place where you first met the baby saurian — go to the foot of the waterfall on the western half of the Tepeacaque slope (between the Ancient Lookout and Fire Ruins dungeons). In front of the vertical stream there is a golden mirage with the only available action — «Enter».
For the second visit to this location, you will be given a guaranteed achievement «Maybe this is a good place for a camp?» (+5 Primogems).
Go deeper into the zone and follow the tamed saurian until it stops. The baby will give souvenirs to new friends, and they, in turn, will want to prepare a return gift. To do this, you will have to visit a jeweler and order a decoration from the gem found in your travels.
Go to the Echo Children Jewelry Shop and talk to the apprentice
First of all, visit the shop “Muhuru Gems” in the Children of Echo tribe. The little apprentice will gladly accept the order, but the meeting with the jeweler must be discussed in advance. And since we do not have much time, we will go to look for him ourselves.
Please note: the task cannot be continued without completing the entire quest chain “Tepetli's Dissonance”.
Find the jeweler in an inspiring place
Next, we go look for Master Kulakho: he stands on a cliff north of the waterfall, under which the entrance to the recreation area is located. After talking to the Natlanian, the company learns about a small problem – he was “robbed” by birds, and now there are no materials or tools for forging. We need to deal with the problem and return the property to the jeweler.
Return the stolen tools and gem to the master
At the edge of the cliff there is a symbol for transforming into a yumkasaurus – we change the appearance to a dragon and jump forward, simultaneously pressing the E-key of the creature to catch on and fly up to the green symbols in the air. Areas with lost items can be seen from afar (they shimmer with a golden spark), but we will leave below map with all search locations:

The first missing item, a suitcase with tools, is located at the top of a white-trunked tree south of Kulakho's waiting area.
- Suitcase with parts [2]
The suitcase with the parts can be found on a similar tall tree, but growing towards the Sulfur Veins.
- Gem as a gift [3]
Well, the stone itself lies at the edge of the cliff, behind the place with the previous find. Also use the Dendro Dragon Elemental Skill to quickly climb up here.
After finding all the lost items, return to the jeweler and give the finds: suitcases with parts and tools, as well as the gem.
Wait two days and pick up the gift from the jewelry store
After the conversation, it remains to wait two in-game days (to speed up the wait, use time rewind). We follow the Echo Children tribe again and talk to the master's assistant, Imix, for the last time. The girl will give us the finished product, which the little saurian will really like.
For completing this task, we will receive 20 Primogems, 150 adventure experience points and 25 thousand Mora, as well as gem decoration – it will appear on the boxes in the rest area.
