Great Gerta's Abilities
When using her basic attack “Do you understand?”, she deals ice damage to the target enemy equal to 50~130% of her attack power. At the same time, she restores 20 energy and pierces the target's tenacity by 10.
Explanation: Standard attacks are nothing special, but you will use them relatively often. The thing is that the heroine's enhanced skill is extremely strong, so you are unlikely to want to throw it away, destroying barely breathing opponents or activating it when mobs have a small number of Interpretation levels. It is better to use a basic attack instead, accumulating enhanced skills (up to 4 pieces; their number is displayed near the character's portrait) for more appropriate moments. In addition, the basic attack also applies 4 stacks of Interpretation to the enemy.
After using the skill “Opening the Mind”The heroine deals ice damage to the selected target in the amount of 35-87.5% of her attack power and places 4 stacks of Interpretation on it. Then the same damage is dealt to the main target and two adjacent enemies, and then again, but this time 5 enemies are affected. At the same time, 30 units of energy are restored.
Explanation: If you want to hit 5 enemies, you always need to attack the target in the center, which will take triple damage (at skill level 10, it's 210%), the enemies next to it will take double damage (140%), and two more enemies on the sides will take single damage (70%). The main target takes 15 units of tenacity damage, the ones next to it will take 10 units each, and the ones on the outermost sides will take 5 units each.
Having accumulated 1 charge of Inspiration and using the enhanced skill “I've Got a Crazy Idea”, the heroine deals ice damage to the selected target in the amount of 40-100% of her attack power and places 4 stacks of Interpretation on it. Then the same damage is dealt to the main target and two adjacent enemies, and then again, but this time 5 enemies are affected. At the end, she deals ice damage to all enemies in the amount of 20-50% of her ATK. At the same time, 30 units of energy are restored.
Explanation: The heroine's main source of damage, around which her entire gameplay will revolve. The thing is that thanks to Interpretation levels, you will be able to inflict gigantic damage on enemies, but to do this, you must definitely accumulate 42 stacks to get a 50% bonus to damage from the “Indifferent Honesty” trace (that's why we advise you to hold on to enhanced skills and use basic attacks instead).
In this case, most of the damage will be inflicted on the main target, which is often an elite enemy or a boss (the corresponding multipliers are specified in the talent). Let's add that the selected enemy will receive 20 units of durability damage, those adjacent to it – 15 units, those closest to the second – 10 units, and all the rest – 5 units.
By activating the superpower “I told you it was magic”, the heroine redistributes the number of Interpretation levels of all enemies and transfers the higher number of levels to the elite enemy and above. Then, she deals ice damage to all enemies equal to 100-250% of her attack power. When using the ultimate, Great Gerta's attack power is increased by 40-100% for 3 turns. She can also immediately act and gains 1 charge of Inspiration (can accumulate up to 4), which turns her skill into an enhanced one.
Explanation: Deals quite high damage, especially when the maximum number of stacks of the Response status of the “Starved Landscape” trail is accumulated, but this is not the main purpose of the super ability, which is actually the ability to accumulate and use enhanced skills. At the same time, you will be able to accumulate Inspiration charges to use the skill when needed, and not immediately after activating the ult.
Let's add that if you accidentally accumulated Interpretation stacks on a regular mob, then it is the ult that will help you redirect all the points to an elite enemy or boss, so that you can then inflict maximum damage on him. The high cost of the ult (220 energy), of course, will be a problem, but it is partially solved by the following “Indifferent Honesty”.
If we talk about the heroine's passive talent – “Give it to me”, then thanks to it, when enemies enter the battle, the heroine immediately throws 1 level of Interpretation on them, and also imposes 25 stacks on one random target at the beginning of each wave, giving priority to elite enemies and above. While the main target of the enhanced skill has the Interpretation status, the damage multiplier increases by 4-10%/2-5% for the main target/other targets, respectively, for each status level.
With at least 2 characters of the Erudition path in the team, each stack additionally increases the damage multiplier by 4-10%/2-5% for the main target/other targets respectively. Interpretation can be stacked up to 42 times. After using the enhanced skill, the number of stacks on the main target drops to 1. After the enemy is defeated or leaves the battlefield, the status will be transferred to another enemy (priority is given to an elite mob or boss).
Explanation: It is thanks to this talent that the enhanced skill will allow you to inflict gigantic damage on enemies. The fact is that at level 10 of the ability and 42 stacks of Interpretation, the damage multiplier for the main target will be 672%, and for the rest – 336%. However, the team must have a second Erudition character. Otherwise, the overall DPS of the Great Hertha will drop sharply.
You should also wait until exactly 42 levels of the status accumulate in order to inflict even more damage with the enhanced skill, receiving a bonus from the “Indifferent Honesty” trace.
We also cannot fail to mention the “Let's Look at Something Good” technique., the use of which increases Gerta's attack power by 40% at the beginning of the next battle for 2 turns. If there are regular chests in the current location, then using the ability will mark up to 3 treasures on the map.
If a battle with the use of equipment in different versions of the Virtual Universe begins, the heroine will immediately inflict true damage to ordinary enemies in the amount of 99% of their maximum health, and to elite and higher – in the amount of 30% of their maximum HP.
Traces of the Great Gerta

Eidolons of the Great Gerta

If you plan to knock out eidolons and you have a limited budget, then you can stop at E1 and E2, which will make the gameplay for Great Gerta more enjoyable and significantly increase her overall damage, allowing her to use the enhanced skill more often. If you have to choose between the signature and the first eidolon, we advise you to take the second option, as it will bring you more benefit. How to play for Great Gerta
Its entire gameplay is built around accumulating Interpretation stacks and activating an enhanced skill. Let's look at this system in a little more detail. First of all, note that when attacking with any ally, all targets hit receive 1 status level, and the enemy with the highest number receives another 1. At the same time, if the character belongs to the path of Erudition, then in the latter case, 2 more stacks are applied.
To avoid confusion, we advise you to ignore adjacent enemies and concentrate on the main target, which will often be an elite mob or a boss. So, Erudition characters will be guaranteed to hang 4 levels of Interpretation on it. If there is already an enemy with 42 stacks on the battlefield, then the one who is second in the number of status levels will receive 4 charges.
Note: You don't need to worry too much about stacks accumulating on a regular mob, since thanks to the ult they will be immediately transferred to an elite enemy or boss, so in the end it is he who will receive the most damage from the enhanced skill.
Also remember that at the beginning of each wave, one enemy (elite or boss) immediately receives 26 stacks, and the rest at 1 level. We need to bring this number up to 42. By simple mathematical calculations, we understand that for this it is necessary to perform only 4 attacks by Erudition characters or 8 if the heroes belong to other paths.
It should be remembered that Great Gerta's ult also applies 4 stacks, so it should be activated at the moment when the enemy has accumulated 38 levels of status. Thanks to the forward movement of the action, you will be able to immediately use the heroine's enhanced skill and inflict gigantic damage on the main target.
Subsequently, all stacks on the main target will be reset to 1 again, and 4 stacks from the attack will go to another enemy who was next in the number of status levels, which again does not matter, since with the next ult or the death of the enemy, they will again go to the elite enemy or boss, and, together with all the previous accumulations.
Example: Let's say you have 42 stacks on the boss, and 9 on the second enemy, and you use an enhanced skill, resetting the boss's Interpretation level to 3 (+2 from the Great Gerta skill), and the second enemy will receive 4 stacks from the attack (his total will be 13 levels). If you immediately kill the regular mob, then all of his stacks will go to the boss and he will have 16 of them.
Note that this also applies to all other regular mobs on the field, that is, all the points accumulated on them after death will be transferred to the elite enemy or boss, so it is worth destroying them faster, which is where the second Erudition character will help you. As for the optimal rotation, it will look like this:
- Try to activate Great Gerta's technique before the battle to increase her attack power and therefore her damage. However, you can do without this ability.
- One of the enemies will have 26 stacks of Interpretation at once. During Great Gerta's turn, be sure to use her skill to gain energy and apply 4 more levels. Then you will only need to perform 2 more attacks with Erudite characters (or 4 heroes from other paths) to bring the value to 38 points and accumulate energy for the ult.
- As soon as the super ability is ready, immediately use it, gaining access to the enhanced skill. The turn will immediately go to Great Gerta again – use her enhanced skill or wait for the best moment to inflict maximum damage on an elite enemy or boss.
- Of course, you may not have time to collect the required amount of energy by the time the main target accumulates 38 points. Do not worry about the extra levels going to another mob, because you can quickly kill it later to transfer all the stacks back to the elite enemy or boss.
Advantages and disadvantages of the Great Herta
Thanks to her unique abilities, the Great Herta can quickly destroy both single and multiple targets. Her advantages also include:
- An excellent primary damage dealer for both dealing massive damage to enemies and destroying strong single opponents, because her enhanced skill not only hits all targets on the field hard, but also deals increased damage to an elite mob or boss. For this reason, the heroine is excellent for clearing levels not only of “Pure Fiction”, where you have to deal with constant enemy waves, but also other modes.
- Can receive additional energy from enemy attacks, which simplifies charging the super ability.
- Can increase critical damage for all allies, which turns her into a support.
- Pairs well with characters that perform bonus attacks, as they are also taken into account when applying stacks and issuing energy.
- Relatively easy to assemble, as it is a standard crit damage dealer, who also does not require much speed.
- The ability to accumulate Inspiration charges and use the enhanced skill only at appropriate moments forces you to use basic attacks instead, which saves skill points.
- With the help of his technique, he shows the location of regular chests on the map, which makes them much easier to collect.
- In the Virtual Universe, the technique allows you to inflict gigantic damage on enemies, which simplifies battles.
However, it was not without its disadvantages, some of which directly follow from its advantages:
- Has an extremely expensive super ability (220 units), and it is this ability that determines the use of the enhanced skill. Even with the second trace, it can be difficult to gain the required amount of energy.
- Necessarily requires the presence of a second character of the Erudition path in the team, otherwise her damage will decrease sharply. So turning the Great Hertha into a hypercarry, who will be supported by 3 supports in the team, will not work. Plus, this imposes certain restrictions on the selection of the squad.
- Slightly less suited for Pure Fiction than other Erudite event characters, as she is more focused on single-shot rather than mass damage.

Best Teams for Greater Hertha
As we noted above, it is absolutely necessary to add a second Erudition character to a team with Great Gerta, because without him you will not only not receive useful bonuses, but also will not be able to quickly gain stacks of Interpretation and receive more additional energy. At the same time, you can choose almost any Erudition fighter (preferably with bonus attacks), who does not strive to be a hypercarry in the squad, but the best option, of course, will be Jasper, since she will be able to generate skill points and gain status levels on enemies faster.
Next, you should take a suitable support. The optimal choice would be Zaryanka, who buffs characters with bonus attacks and significantly strengthens the Great Gerta with her ult. In teams with a high expenditure of skill points, you can take Sparkle. Among the budget options, Yukun (gives a lot of bonuses for a short time, just under the heroine's enhanced skill), Pathfinder of Memory (gives useful buffs and attacks often), Pela (reduces defense and spends few skill points) and Asta (increases the speed of allies, allowing them to attack more often) are suitable.
If we talk about healers and shielders, the best options would be Linsha and Aventurine (they hit the area and have an attack bonus). You can also take Lochu, Fu Xuan or Gallagher, since their ultimates hit the area. Hoho would also be a good choice, since she fills up energy and gives an attack power buff. How to increase abilities (what to level up first)
The pictures below show the materials and their quantities needed to fully level up the basic attack, skill, super ability and talent.
- Rough Sketch, Dynamic Outline, and Master Color Sketch are obtained from the Crimson Sepal found in the new location or through Synthesis.
- The Extinguished Core, Glimmering Core, and Writhing Core are obtained from Fragmentum monsters on Yarilo-VI, quests, and enemies in the Virtual Universe, or through Synthesis. They can also be purchased with Everlasting Ash in the Pom-Pom Shop.
