Heroes Always Remain Behind the Scenes in Zenless Zone Zero — the story of Lycaon's agent. Together with the manager of “Victoria”, you will help Lilika, the daughter of his employer. You will meet the Mockingbirds gang and uncover their plans for a lonely teenager from a wealthy family, as well as learn about the mysterious past of Lycaon himself.

How to start
To access the first chapter of the story, you need to reach level 36 of the Internet and complete the story chapter “Midnight Search”. Then go to Random Play and use the video archive.
Herald of Justice!
You will receive a strange message from Lycaon. When you meet him at the video rental store, you will find out that the head of Victoria found a post on the Internet announcing the upcoming theft of a painting from a cavern. Agree to help Lycaon and accept the combat order “Thieves and Guards”.
To complete the task, you should form a squad of agents with ice and ethereal attributes. However, the opponents do not have any resistance, so you can take any strong pack. To receive all the rewards, you must not lose a single agent and complete the order with the average HP of all characters above 30%, so you should pay attention to shielders or heroes who play from evasion.
In the trial mode, Lycaon will join your squad, and you can choose two more agents yourself.
After dealing with the first three waves of enemies, heed Lycaon's warning: before moving on to the quest marker, go forward and turn the corner, collect the gearlings, and open the mini-truck. Beware of the aetherials that will appear when you approach the crate, and the nearby mines.
After destroying two more waves of enemies, Destroy the boxes on your way to open the way to replenish HP and energy.
After the next two groups of enemies, turn right, collect the gearlings and open the mini-truck, avoiding the exploding mines.
Go further and fight the huge Ethereal. Be careful: the monster can perform a chain of several attacks, so be prepared to constantly dodge or use Perfect Assist.
After winning, talk to Lilica, the daughter of Lycaon's employer. She wants to join the phantom thieves' organization called Mockingbirds, for which she needs to pass the test and steal her parents' painting.
Discuss the situation with Lycaon, then return to the video store and talk to your sibling to complete the first chapter.
Childishness?..
Right after completing the first chapter of the story, you can proceed to the second. Talk to Lycaon and agree to explore the establishments in Lumina Square that Lilica has been visiting lately.
Talk to Chop Jr.
Once you get to the noodle shop, talk to the owner. He can't answer your questions yet because of the huge queue.
Help Customers Place an Order
Talk to three customers in line.
- An excited guest should be advised to have noodles with pumpkin soup in a white bowl.
- For the hesitant guest, noodles with chicken and chili pepper in a black bowl.
- The last guest gets noodles with broth in a black bowl (spicy).
Tell Chop Jr. about completing the mission
Go back to the noodle shop owner. He'll tell you that Lilika has taken a part-time job with him – most likely, she wants to buy out her parents' painting.
Talk to the Mysterious Stranger
Go to the parking lot in the square and start a conversation with the suspicious merchant.
When he asks you for a password, choose the following options:
- The artist himself.
- “Mockingbirds”.
Go to the preparatory courses and talk to the students
Move to the Koff Cafe and discuss Mockingbirds and Lilika with the students standing nearby.
You'll soon notice the girl herself – talk to her.
Catch up with Lilika
You can find the escaped Lilika near the parking lot where you met the suspicious merchant.
The girl will run away again – go towards the metro station.
After escaping once more, Lilika will stop behind Inspector Meowchel. After talking to her, Lycaon will receive a message from the Mockingbirds.
Return to Rental
Head to Random Play and talk to your sibling to complete the second chapter of the story.
True Desire
The third chapter of the story can be started immediately after completing the second.
Meet Lycaon and discuss your plans. Return to the video rental store, read the message from the manager and accept the “Deceivers and Traitors” combat order.
To complete an order, use the system HDD.
The game recommends creating a squad of heroes with physical, ice, and ethereal attributes. We recommend taking agents with different elements, since the weaknesses of the enemies are different – for example, one of the elite enemies is resistant to ice, while others, on the contrary, are vulnerable to it. As in the first chapter, to receive all the rewards, you need to keep your fighters at least 30% HP.
In the trial mode, Lycaon will join your team, and you can choose other characters yourself.
Find Lilika
Explore the room, destroying groups of enemies and breaking containers with HP and energy.
When you reach the girl, talk to her.
Then open the mini-truck standing nearby and protected by lasers.
After defeating two waves of Ethereals, go right, replenish energy and run between the lasers to reach another truck.
On the way to the next battle arena, you can also replenish energy and HP.
Defeat two waves of Ethereals and watch a cutscene where Lycaon “betrays” the Mockingbirds and protects Lilica. Before you entered the cavern, you carried out a plan together in which you joined a criminal organization and learned of their intentions regarding the girl and her rich parents.
Deal with two waves of bandits and hand them over to the Security Service.
Talk to your brother/sister
After completing the combat order, you will return to the video store. Discuss what happened with Weisz/Belle, then rest in your room.
Talk to Lilikoi
The next day you will receive a message from Lycaon.
Go down to the counter and learn about Lilika's plans. Talk to the manager and watch a comic cutscene that reveals a little about his past in the real Mockingbirds.
Discuss the story of Lycaon with brother/sister and complete the task.
