In Dragon's Dogma 2, Home Is Where the Heart Is is a side quest required to progress your romance with Ulrika. During it, you will have to help the residents of Melve resist the regent’s guards by obtaining four swords for them, and then tell the former headman about the success. If you have difficulties receiving and completing the quest, then study our guide.
Completing the quest “Home is where the heart is” in Dragon's Dogma 2
How to start the task
First of all, complete the mission “Trouble at the Cape”, where you need to help Ulrika save the beastman from the lizard cave. Next, wait a few days and only then go to the village of Melve, located north of Wernworth. Near the entrance to the settlement you will be met by sullen guards who will not want to let you through. Give them a bribe of 5000 gold to enter the village. After this, the mission starts immediately.
Note: If this event does not occur for you, then it is possible that you also need to complete all of Brant’s tasks, after which he will have to tell you that you should visit Melva. Personally, our captain of the guard gave this recommendation after completing the quest “Disturbing Find.”
Where to get four swords for Lennart
Upon entering the village, you will notice that it is under the yoke of the regent's soldiers. Go to Ulrika's former house, located to the south. There you will find Lennart – talk to him to find out about the current situation. He will ask you to bring him four swords to arm the locals and fight off enemies.
You can get swords completely free of charge in the storeroom located in the village, not far from Lennart’s house. Exit the building and run down the right path. Soon you will see Norbert and Jan ahead, who will agree to distract the guards if you have previously completed their quest “Brotherly Timidity and Courage.”
If you fail to distract the guard, then simply enter the desired building through the roof, into which has a hole. Inside the storeroom you will find three chests containing four swords. Then give them to Lennart.
Note: If you don't want to bother with this armory and have some extra money, you can simply buy four of any swords from the Border Outpost (cheaper) or Vernworth (more expensive).
Defeat the soldiers stationed in Melva
Having brought the weapon to Lennart, leave the building with him and engage in battle with the soldiers. Fortunately, you don’t need to defeat everyone alone, as local residents will come to your aid. Try to deal with your opponents as quickly as possible so that they don’t have time to kill anyone. At the same time, you should avoid enemy groups, as they can easily stun you with their endless attacks.
When you defeat most of the enemies, the remaining soldiers will simply run away. Lennart will thank you, and then say that he will go to the village of Harv to Ulrika along with the rest of the inhabitants.
After a few days, tell Ulrika about Melva
Wait 1-2 days, and then teleport or walk on your own to the village of Kharv. Then go to the pier and talk to Ulrika. She will appreciate your actions and ask you to meet her again at the same place at night.
Meet Ulrika at night
Wait for nightfall in the local hotel or take a nap on a bench next to the inn. Then go to the pier again and talk to the girl. A cutscene will begin in which you will go with Ulrika to the beach, where she confesses her feelings to you.
The next morning you will wake up in Ulrika's house and the quest will come to an end. As a reward you will receive 2200 experience points, 12000 gold and a Ring of Confidence.
