Honkai: Star Rail 2.5 Release Date
HoYoverse has returned to the previous patch duration of 6 weeks, so the release of the next version of the game will take place on September 11, 2024. If the developers do not change the schedule again, it will be replaced by update 2.6 around October 23 of this year.
The client will be available for pre-download a few days before its release. The developers will likely carry out maintenance work, which can last up to five hours. Players are usually compensated with 300 star jades.
Honkai: Star Rail 2.5 Live Broadcast
The developers almost always hold special streams one and a half to two weeks before the release of the next update. They are usually organized on Friday-Sunday. The live broadcast for the current patch will be held on August 30, 2024 at 14:30 Moscow time. As part of it, 3 promo codes for 300 star jades will be published.
New banners and characters
The company has already officially introduced three new characters that will most likely be released in patch 2.5, namely: Feixiao, Lingsha and Moze. Insiders also published the characteristics and approximate time of appearance of these and other heroes.
First phase banners
In the first half of the patch, the following characters can be obtained during Jumps:
- 5-star – Feixiao (Hunt: Wind).
- 4-star – unknown.
Feixiao is one of the seven generals-arbiters of the Heavenly Arc and has a vast array of martial arts. The warriors and residents of Xianzhou call her the Great General. However, Feixiao is sick with the lunar rage, so if she fails to destroy all the Abominations in the time remaining to her, she will become her own enemy. Her abilities have not yet been revealed, but insiders Uncle N and Ubatcha report that her gameplay is similar to Topaz and Jing Yuan, that is, she summons a creature that appears in the general turn queue, and her main source of damage is bonus attacks. Plus, her skills may be somehow related to breaking through the enemy's vulnerability.
The weapon banner will be able to obtain Feixiao's signature weapon, “I'm Going Hunting.”
Phase 2 Banners
The following characters will be obtainable during Jumps in the second half of the patch (starting October 2):
- 5-star – Lingsha (Abundance: Fire).
- 4-star – Moze (Hunt: Electric).
Linsha is a Vidyadhara and the new Cauldron Master of the Alchemy Commission. She is described as an intelligent and talented healer, with a keen sense of smell that helps her recognize illnesses and select incense to soothe her mind. She is a Fire-type and a Path of Abundance, so she will likely be able to serve as a healer in the party.
Moze is Yaoqing's shadow guardian who dislikes small talk and prefers to carry out his assigned tasks alone. He is considered an excellent scout who can hide from people without any problems. This character deals electric damage and follows the path of the Hunt, and therefore can play the role of the main or secondary damage dealer in the team.
The weapon banner will feature Jiaoqiu's signature weapon, “Scent Never Lies.”
Map Changes
It is currently unknown whether the developers plan to expand the game world with new locations. According to rumors, another area will be added to Luofu Xianzhou due to the continuation of its storyline related to the Martial Arts Ceremony.
