In this article, we will tell you when Honkai: Star Rail Update 2.7 will be released, as well as what new characters, banners, enemies, events, light cones, locations, relics and tasks await you in it. We will gradually update this material, so we recommend adding it to your bookmarks.
Note: At this point in time, the information below is based not only on statements from the developers, but also on leaks and files obtained by data miners and testers, so it is not 100% reliable and may change over time.
Honkai: Star Rail 2.7 Release Date
HoYoverse releases new patches every 6 weeks, so the next version of the game will be released on December 4, 2024. If the developers do not change the schedule again, it will be replaced by update 3.0 around January 15 next year.
The client will be available for pre-download a few days before its release. The developers will likely carry out maintenance work, which can last up to five hours. Players are usually compensated with 300 Star Jades.
Honkai: Star Rail 2.7 Live Stream
The developers almost always hold special streams 1.5-2 weeks before the release of the next update. They are usually organized on Friday-Sunday. The live stream for the current patch will be held November 22-24, 2024 at 14:30 Moscow time. As part of it, 3 promo codes for 300 Star Jades will be published.
New banners and characters
The company has already officially introduced two new characters that will most likely be released in patch 2.7, namely: Sunday and Fugu. Insiders have also published the characteristics and approximate time of appearance of this and other heroes.
Phase One Banners
In the first half of the patch, the following characters will be available during Jumps:
- 5-star – Sunday (Harmony: False) and Firefly (Destruction: Fire).
- 4-star – unknown so far.
Sunday is Robin's brother and a former member of the Family on Penakonia who attempted to bring Order to the party planet, but was stopped by the Pathfinder and other members of the Star Express. He disappeared without a trace after a fierce battle, but apparently did not die and may soon reappear in the dream world.
According to preliminary data, he will be able to advance actions and strengthen not only the allies themselves, but also their summoned creatures. Plus, this support will be able to restore skill points, regenerate energy, and increase critical damage of the selected team member.
The weapon banner will drop Resurrection and Firefly's signature weapons, “Justified Rise” and “Where Dreams Return,” respectively.
Phase 2 Banners
The following characters will be available during Jumps in the second half of the patch (starting December 25):
- 5-star – Fugue (Non-Existence: Fire) and Locha (Abundance: Imaginary).
- 4-star – unknown at this time.
According to the official description, Fuuga is a clever girl from the fox people who was robbed not only of her appearance and name, but also of her identity. She still has hope for salvation, but she still bears the mark of Destruction. In fact, we are talking about the “dead” Tingyuan, whom the Pioneer first met on Lofu Xianzhou. Apparently, the girl has been reborn.
Insiders note that Fugue will be a support aimed at enhancing the effect of penetration and super penetration of allies, as well as reducing the defense of enemies. In addition, she will be able to inflict huge fire damage with her super ability, completely ignoring the vulnerabilities of opponents.
In the weapon banner, you can get the signature weapons of Fugue and Locha called “Long Road Leads Home” and “Echo from the Coffin”, respectively.
Map Change
It is currently unknown whether the developers plan to expand the game world with new locations. According to rumors, a new area will appear in Penakonia, where, in fact, the actions of the new quest chain will take place. In this case, we will find a location with additional riddles, chests and secret assignments.
New Quests
Exploration Missions
Insiders note that patch 2.7 will feature a new story chapter related to Penakonia, which will basically continue the story from update 2.3, meaning we will finally find out what happened to Sunday and where he disappeared to. At the same time, Seele and Z leaks note that this character will become a member of the Star Express and, together with his crew, will go to the next planet, where he will play an important role in the plot.
Nothing is clear about Fugu yet. It is possible that we will also meet her in Penakonia, although she is from Lofu Xianzhou. Perhaps the Pathfinder will have to help her remember who she was in the past.
New Light Cones
So far, it is known about the developers' plans to add two new light cones to the game. Their characteristics and passive skills are listed in the table below.
Name | Characteristics | Skill |
---|---|---|
A Long Road Leads Home (5-Star; Oblivion) | ATK: 22-476 Defense: 30-662 HP: 43-953 | Increases the owner's penetration effect by 60-100%. When an enemy's vulnerability is penetrated, there is a 100% chance that they will be inflicted with the Charred status, which increases the damage they take from penetration by 20-30% for two turns. This effect can stack up to two times. |
Justified Ascent (5 Stars; Harmony) | ATK: 22-476 Defense: 24-529 HP: 53-1164 | After the owner uses a Skill or Ultimate on any ally, the wearer restores 6-8 units of energy, and the ally gains 1 stack of “Anthem” for 3 turns (stacks up to 3 times). Each stack of “Anthem” increases damage dealt by 15-24%. After every 2nd use of a skill or ultimate on an ally, the squad restores 1 skill point. |
New Enemies
Currently, information is known about only one new enemy – the Fictional Ensemble. Apparently, he will be an elite enemy. Unfortunately, its vulnerabilities and features have not yet been revealed.
New Events
There is no information about events at the moment. Most likely, the main event will take place in Penakonia and will be associated with Sunday or Fugue.
