In Atomic Heart Hot Pursuit is one of the main quests, in which you have to open the door and the moon castle, find three flasks with moon soil, and also go through the Seed Bank and catch up with Viktor Petrov. If you're having trouble completing these tasks, check out our detailed guide.
In Hot Pursuit Walkthrough
This mission starts after completing the quest “Viktor Petrov. Find and Defuse”, at the end of which you will see a cut-scene where Nechaev will finally catch up with his target, but in the end he will miss it due to the attack of flying drones. Deal with all opponents (be careful, as an android will attack you from behind).
How to get through the door
As he leaves, Petrov will pick up the “Candle” energy element required to unlock the door, so you'll have to find a replacement for him. The quest marker will point to the location of the desired item. As you move towards the target, don't forget to destroy the air machines on the walls that constantly release drones – to deactivate them, you just need to shoot them with the Shock ability.

Go down the stairs and pick up the chirp “Memo for employees” near the glass showcase with “PK-4 Birch”. Then head up the ladder on the opposite side, go through the open door and climb into the vent on the left side. In this room, by the way, there is a black box in which you can find valuable materials.
Exit the vent. You will enter another room where you can find a new candle lying on a table. Near the corpse of one of the soldiers lies a PM pistol. Search the room for another chirp and various resources.
Now approach the door and interact with piston lock. You will need to play a mini-game to unlock it – you need to click on the LMB in time to close all the valves.
Go back to the opposite side and insert a candle in a cell to open the door and go forward.
How to get to the Archive
When you enter the new room, go to the right. Before that, you can inspect the computers to read various text documents. Here you will also encounter malfunctioning loaders – use Shock to disable them.
The passage on the right will be blocked by another loader – shock him when he lifts his load to the maximum height so that you can freely pass under the boxes. If the boxes are too low, then simply duck down.
How to get into the polymer
You will find yourself in a spacious hall. Roll into the rest room on the left to save and, if necessary, create new or improve the weapons you already have. Note that here you can also find a container that may contain a drawing of the “Fox”.
Now go down the stairs and stand on the platform with the railing. Climb the fence and jump forward to climb onto the ledge. From it, jump over to the cabinet on the right, and then climb onto the rack on the left. Open the chest, climb onto the crate and jump straight into the water ball hovering ahead.
Note: If you fall, then use an electric charge to knock out all the loaders, and strive to knock the main character down.
Once in the polymer, start swimming up, and then emerge from the “water” by clicking on “L Shift” key. You will enter a new room with aggressive androids.
How to open the gate
Deal with the robots and approach the gate. Knock out the video camera and the aircraft from which the drones fly out – they are located on both sides of the gate that you need to open. As usual, devices are knocked out with Shock. Then go to the metal room with the moon castle. You need 3 Moon Soil Flasks to unlock it.
Where to find the moon flask with a circle
Get out of the steel booth and go to the left of the gate (if you stand facing them). Climb up the pile of boxes and make your way to the area behind the shelving. There you will find the first flask. You can lock it right away.
Where to find the moon flask with a triangle
Face the gate again, and then turn around and walk forward until you see a hole filled with polymer in front of you. Enter it – you will enter a room filled with water. Swim to the opposite side and swim into the next passage. Once in the corridor, press the red button and enter the new room.
Most likely, here you will immediately they will also give a blueprint for the Electro energy weapon, which you can create with the help of Eleanor. Approach the red machine and take the second flask.
Where to find the flask of the moon with a square
Now turn right and climb into the vent at the top. Crawl forward and in a minute or two you will find the third flask.
Next, move up the ventilation shaft and jump down through the hole into the office. Get out of it, go to the metal booth and insert all three flasks into the moon castle. As a result, you will open the gate and be able to go further.
How to get through the Seed Bank< /h3>
You will come to a storage room with a large number of steel cubes that store seeds. On the right is a break room where you can save and find a chest with useful materials or an upgrade blueprint, and on the left is a path that allows you to progress through the story.
We advise you not to rush and go forward to the moving robot. Here you will find a chest. Open it, and then go to the right, climb onto the boxes and climb into the narrow passage between the shelves – there you will find another steel container with materials. We add that just to the left of the marker you can find another secret passage leading to a niche with a case (be careful, as an android can attack you from behind here).
Now you can go to the left passage, following the quest marker. Climb over the barrier and turn left again, after destroying the automatic turret and knocking out the video camera. If you want to get a weapon blueprint, then after turning immediately turn left again. Walk between the cubes and climb up the ledges. There you will find a yellow chest with a blueprint.
Go back and now turn right. Deal with all the robots on your way and press the red button to call the elevator. Get on it and go upstairs. Get out, cut down the camera and go along the metal platform to the technical room. Here you can save and upgrade weapons. The red chest may contain a module for Electro.
Exit the room through the back door, turn right and climb up the crates to the upper ledge. Next, go to the other side along the metal platforms and ledges. On the right below you will find two cases with materials.
Then you can climb onto the ledge on the right and go to the next area with chests, inside of which there may be a drawing of a new weapon. Now go back to the door leading to the room with “Eleanor”. Turn left and jump down. Follow the catwalks up and to the right to find a locked door leading to the area you recently visited.
After opening it, go forward and step on the loader to go up to the roof. Grab the rope and go down to the platform below. Walk forward and jump into the polymer. Start climbing down it.
Note: For many players who use a licensed or pre-release version of the game, a bug occurs at this stage – a new task simply does not appear. The first is enough to update the project to the latest version, where the error has already been fixed, but the second will have to use the debug console. Press the “Backspace” key, go to the “Quests” category and click on the “Promote Quests” sign to get the next objective.
How to catch up with Petrov and leave the complex
Get out of the polymer into the room with the shelving. Move to the far corner following the quest marker and you will find Petrov's corpse here. Take the candle and chirp. Now go to the left and open the lock by playing a mini-game. If the puzzle seems difficult to you, then just exit and re-enter the mechanism menu – the puzzle will change.
Go ahead , go up the stairs and return to the room with the glass case in the center and place the candle in the indicated cell. Take the second ball from the slot with which you opened the door earlier. By placing both candles, you will complete the mission.
After that, the quest “In the Overgrown Park…” will begin, in within which you will need to get four flasks from different workshops .
